He named Gertrud after his better half, but was also inspired by old handwritten documents: "Gertrud is a calligraphic letter design from the 16th century. Sydonia Atramentiqua is a strange creation. The inspiration was the first releases of "Malleus Maleficarum" (actually the typography used there). I decided I wanted something strange, so Sydonia came into being. Like a blood of all witches who were being hunted down by Malleus Maleficarum's "fans" for their skills and beliefs. Why Sydonia? Sydonia von Borck was a witch from my area. It was probably the last woman executed for witchcraft. The genesis of the name. Sydonia was THE WITCH, and by the name I added "Atramentiqua". It is a combination of the words "Ink" (polish "ATRAMENT") + "Antiqua". The idea of ​​spilling a font is historical. The former Zecer composition was not perfectly sharp. As it was a "wet job", there were always light exits behind the lines. Who supported me? At a glance, FF Pastoral appears deceptively simple, particularly in the middle weights. That surface serenity is intentional and allows for easy reading and quick comprehension of short blocks of copy. Upon closer inspection, FF Pastoral is complex and nuanced, carrying a balanced tension in its forms. This plays particularly well in magazine spreads and corporate logos, where uniqueness is a virtue. Zeebonk (literally 'Sea Chunk') is Dutch for a sailor - in particular, a large, pickled and brined, seven-seas-been-there-done-that specimen. The font itself brings back memories of the outrageous tattoos those same 'zeebonken' used to have. Zeebonk comes with extensive language support, alternates for the upper case (and some lower case letters as well) and a healthy dose of good old fashioned sea dog humor!

Woebegone is a cute little handmade font. I started off by drawing the glyphs with a Pilot pen, then added some strokes with a Japanese brush pen. Woebegone comes in Regular and Italic and has all the accents you need.

Dschoyphul is a serifed typeface that was crudely drawn with a pen. It is sloppy and irregular. It was one of several efforts to draw a serifed typeface by pen; see also SarahfSlob, which contains a complete family of styles.

Ancient Olympian god of the sea, brother of Zeus; Poseidon is the bearer of a trident, the three pronged spear of tunny fishers and is drawn along by monstrous sea creatures-half horse, half serpent. Gothic Round was first introduced as wood type by the George Nesbitt Co. in 1838. The font is a softened variation of a standard heavy Gothic typeface. The style evokes a much more recent history of the 1960s and 70s and can be seen in such places as donut shops and on children's toys as well as inspiration for such fonts as VAG Rounded. Gothic Round has not previously been available as a digital font until now. The font was digitized by Miguel Sousa from a wide variety of historical sources, including visits to the Cary Collection at RIT (Rochester, NY), WNY Book Arts Center (Buffalo, NY) and the Hamilton Wood Type Museum (Two Rivers, WI). I happened to mention to the proprietor of an antique barn near here that I'd be interested in any old typewriters she happened to come across. A conversation ensued, the proprietor withdrew into a back room, and she re-emerged with an old handwritten letter, dated 18 Sept. 1825 and spanning nearly three pages. The letter, penned by Samuel Clarke, a Princeton, Mass., pastor, sought donations for the victims of an accident at sea. I thought his script unique, stylistic, and definitely something worth digitizing, so I bought the old letter and took it home. Had to come up with several uppercase characters to round out the set, but the results seem good and proper. Full release has complete character set.

Shirataki is a soft pen script with clear round letter shapes and large display capitals. Shirataki has really low contrast -it’s almost monolinear. Shirataki is a clear and friendly display script ideal for logo, signature, packaging, poster or headline purposes. Simpliciter Sans is a typeface based on the lettering used in the 20th century on technical drawings, either written by free hand or using templates. The lettering was made with a round pen, therefore all lines got rounded ends. All lines had the same thickness in uppercase, lowercase and small caps. The upright style was used on construction drawings and the italic style on machine drawings. The backslant style was used on maps for names of water bodies — seas, lakes, rivers etc. — and for water depth. Simpliciter Sans is primarily intended for texts on drawings, diagrams, charts and maps, but it can also be used for signs and labels. It also works surprisingly well as a body type in smaller sizes.
