The Nov. 13, 1915 and Nov. 27, 1915 issues of Moving Picture World carried ads for Jesse L. Lasky Productions in which the titles of the upcoming films were hand lettered in an elegant Art Nouveau spurred serif style. Hand lettering of the song title on the 1914 sheet music for “Dear Old Girl” was the working model for Old Songs JNL.
