Each word design was like “travel to the old school of hand lettering of 1930” due to the number of options and alternatives we discarded to solidify meticulous researches and Bezier drawings, based on analysis and synthesis of empty and full calligraphy, first done with a round brush and then perfected with pencil and paper. For this reason, each NUTCAKE CATCH-WORDS design contains a high dose of cursive expressiveness, apparently handwritten, and that is why our customers can take advantage of more than 160 words compiled in a single OTF file. A Belle Époque humanist serif in two styles: crisp, high-contrast Haut-Monde and soft, low-contrast Demimonde… When you design a lot of display pieces, you’re often in need of tall, slim type. Liaisons provides that, in a distinct fin-de-siècle style inspired by the great posters of the Gilded Age from Sweden, Denmark, France, and Scotland. (The ampersand alone is a bit of a love letter to Charles Rennie Mackintosh!) Anachronic is the polished version of our Chronic font family and preserves its libertarian dna. It's kind of strong, while friendly. Because sometimes you've just got to be bold — pero sin perder la ternura jamás!

Auldroon was inspired by the pseudo-medieval fonts that were fairly popular in the late 19th century. Auldroon comes in two variants. Auldroon-Eld was designed first and is a bit more compact than the regular version. Both are decorative and distinctive and neither was created with a specific use in mind.

Kelso is a highly original, outline display font. Each character is represented by a single continuous line to create a fluid and rhythmic look. This technique seems somehow to bring out the individual characteristics of each letter, resulting in a harmonious typeface that’s both easy to read and easy on the eye.

This light manual font, with two styles, is a looking like slab serif or typewriter pattern. It is containing Western and Northern European, Icelandic, Baltic, Eastern, Central European and Turquish specific characters, plus old style numerals, ct, st and f standard ligatures. The two styles are both legible from 10-11 pts.

Ostbahnhof is a headline font inspired by both german blackletter and hand-painted signs. A vintage photo (circa 1950s) taken outside one of the movie houses owned at the time by Miami-based Wometco Theaters showed a small hand lettered sign with the word “Wometco” painted in a stylized Art Deco alphabet. This inspired Theater Lobby JNL, which is available in both regular and oblique versions.

Logotype lettering from 1896 for the Italian confection company Talmone provided the inspiration for this curvy, cuddly face. Warm up your headlines today with this antique charmer. AriergardRondo is supplemental to Ariergard by the same author. It differs with sharp geometrical letterforms and with circular shapes of round letters. The face includes antique Cyrillic letter shapes: N has diagonal stroke, uppercase Y and Ч are equilateral. Both lc г and т have ascenders. For use in advertising and display typography.

Stabillo font family is specially designed for food logo brand identity and packaging design projects. There are several ligature in both fonts and alternate characters just in the Italic version. Some projects that are suitable for this font are food and beverage brand logo, including clothing, flyer designs, posters or brochures. Enjoy!

Flirtation Walk JNL was inspired by the lettering on the covers of sheet music for songs taken from the 1934 Dick Powell-Ruby Keeler movie "Flirtation Walk". The typeface features some stylized characters as well as the more familiar Art Deco character designs, and is available in both regular and oblique versions.

Anzura is a decorative font that can be used for book title, logo brand, poster and many more. The looks is vintage classic yet clean, with a little decoration on each letter. Antique X Condensed is a condensed slab serif font found with the pages of a Rob Roy Kelly book of wood type designs. It was introduced around 1840 by Wells and Webb, and the example served as the model for General Merchandise JNL, which is available in both regular and oblique versions.

Guadalupe –from the family of classic Didots– is a high performance font with a great set of alternates & swashes and carefully refined details. Especially suited for fashion magazines, logotypes and luxury contexts with a range of two different terminal versions; “Regular” –a classic roman typeface– and “Gota”, much more expressive for word setting.

The 1910 sheet music for “In All My Dreams I Dream of You” had the title hand lettered in an eclectic sans serif that typified the free form Art Nouveau movement of the time. The lettering was recreated digitally as Nouveau Dreams JNL, and is available in both regular and oblique versions.

Shake Your Head is a grafitti font which involves both smooth curves and ragged edges. Somewhat a mixture between the grungy lines of TagBoyHardcore and the more elegant swings of TagStarHardcore. Furthermore Shake Your Head is spaced very tight and kerned even tighter in order to keep my way of writing tagfonts!

The title and credits for the 1951 Dick Powell and Rhonda Fleming film “Cry Danger” were hand lettered in a freehand brush lettering often seen on store signs and show cards. Serving as the model for Show Card Freehand JNL, this pleasant and casual typeface is available in both regular and oblique versions.

The July 26, 1934 of the movie industry trade paper The Film Daily contained an ad for Paramount promoting its most recent releases. Hand lettered in an ultra bold Art Deco sans serif style, it was the working model for Self Promotion JNL, which is available in both regular and oblique versions.

Cortex was designed for Shanghai Word Expo 2010 / A.A.D.I Pavilion corporate identity: signage, corporate communication, graphic design (a 120 pages monography), promotional items, etc. It was inspired by the pavilion "slanted" architectural concept, and had to fit the famous chinese "YOUYUAN" typeface as well. This is a both very clear and dynamic typeface.

This classic face is based on Kleukens Scriptura, designed by Friedrich Wilhelm Kleukens in 1926 for D Stempel AG. It served as an alternative to Lucien Bernhard's Cursive and an inspiration for Oswald Cooper's Pompeian Script. Both versions of the font contain the complete Unicode Latin 1252 and Central European 1250 character sets.

This disarming beauty is based on a typeface named "Archer" from the 1905 specimen book from Barnhart Brothers & Spindler. The original was a rather light face; this beefed-up version highlights the face’s charming quirks quite nicely. Both versions of the font include 1252 Latin, 1250 CE (with localization for Romanian and Moldovan).

Modeled after some antique stencil cutting tools spotted in an online auction, Stencil Cutter JNL portrays the look of hand tooled lettering. The rounded-end characters have their own personality and this eccentricity provides a warmth and charm from times past. Stencil Cutter JNL is available in both regular and oblique versions.

Aligarh is a semi-slab serif font formed with a smooth rounded bracket whose edges end with unique shapes, an exploration of combining unique styles in a typefaces. Designed to be used in a variety of media both print and digital media. 18 fonts built from 9 sizes and supported by open types.

A 1935 piece of sheet music entitled “(There’s A) Little Picture Playhouse in My Heart” had its movie-themed title hand lettered in a condensed Art Deco style with a few interesting character variations. The resulting digital type design is Stage Production JNL, which is available in both regular and oblique versions.

Morris Fuller Benton's 1935 offering from ATF, entitled Raleigh Gothic Condensed, inspired this ultracompact masterpiece. Benton's alternate characters are included in several lowercase positions, to add a little Art Deco sparkle to this versatile workhorse. Both versions of this font include the complete Latin 1252, Central European 1250 and Turkish 1254 character sets.

This luscious, loopy Lombardic face was inspired by an offering in the 1938 classic, Letters and Lettering by Paul Carlyle and Gus Oring. Suitable for formal or informal occasions. Both versions of this font contain the Unicode 1252 (Latin) and Unicode 1250 (Central European) character sets, with localization for Romanian and Moldovan.

An advertisement in a 1936 issue of “The Film Daily” for the movie “Mr. Deeds Goes to Town” had much of its copy set in an extrabold typeface similar to the Beton/Stymie/Karnac group of slabserif designs. This is now available digitally as Serif Formal JNL in both regular and oblique versions.

Aries Streaks is the perfect typeface for any project in need of spunk, edge, or youth. It's extremely eccentric while remaining legible, and has both an air of nostalgia and modern style. Great for use on titles, labels, handwritten projects, and large text projects. Glyph count: 440 and supports most western languages.

Roklin is an elegant serif family for use as both formal text and headers. Has quite a lot of character alternatives and also enhanced ligatures. It's perfect for casual typography as well as official documents, really. All characters are PUA Encoded, you can use this font easily in many common editor software easily.

ITC Jellybaby is the work of British designer Timothy Donaldson, bouncing all over the place but somehow remaining compact and legible. It began as an extremely fattened version of Donaldson't typeface Pink but then became transformed into a play on the futuristic" typefaces of the 1960s. Jellybaby expresses both retro and modern design."

The family Night by Nicolai Gogoll includes 10 styles – five serifs and five sans. Both variants harmonize well with each other and each come in five weights, which allows for good use in CI. Combining the Serif and Sans also enables versatile and hierarchical design, which is great for interfaces and infomedia.

Inside the pages of an untitled sign painting textbook (circa 1902) was an example of the classic chamfered sans serif alphabets used by tradesmen of the time. This version was wider than most, and perfect for a digital version called Wide Chamfer JNL, which is available in both regular and oblique versions.

The sheet music for "Dancing Butterfly" had the title of the 1929 composition hand lettered in what can be only described as an odd hybrid of letters with an Art Nouveau stencil influence. This quirky style became the basis for Odd Stencil JNL, which is available in both regular and oblique versions.
