Bo Berndal, the master Swedish typographer, is the eponymous designer of Berndal, a contemporary text family with five different styles. This family represents a new achievement for Bo Berndal, who has spent many years working to optimize text legibility in the printed media. Several small tricks make the Berndal family an interesting milestone in legibility. Berndal's letterforms contain large x-heights. Large x-heights open up the counterforms of letters, making text appear lighter on a page, but their correspondingly shorter ascenders and descenders can hinder legibility. This does not occur in Berndal at all! Coupled with this experiment, Berndal's various font weights display a certain softness and roundness. The letterforms themselves are relatively wide, with an overall consistency in width. The calligraphic nature of the strokes has been minimized, yet a contrast stroke-thickness is still to be noticed within the alphabet. Berndal's five styles offer almost everything that one could want from a good text family. The Regular weight may be paired with Small Caps, Italic, Bold, and Bold Italic. All styles ship in the OpenType format, and include tabular and old style figures. The two italic weights are made up of true italics, not obliques. The Ctoxina family is growing. Due to the success the author decided to add an outline version of the font. The typeface is now available in 6 different styles: light, light italic, regular, italic, bold and bold italic. The Atoxina family is designed especially for the burgeoning market of starships and other space cruisers. The fonts are ideal for internal and external use (including zero-g and occasional bursts of cosmic rays), and with their simplified forms are expected to survive well in non-linear galaxies. With their unusual diagonal half-pixels the fonts are striking as abstract designs at astronomical sizes, where small text may be placed within the black holes formed inside the letters.

Although initially designed as a rational/geometric font, Triplex developed into one of Zuzana Licko's most intuitive typeface designs at the time. Hello! Inspiration for this beautiful script font I found in “A Source of Solace in Illness” (Trost Bronn der Kranchhen) book, published in the middle of 17th century. There was an entire on the back of the top cover: Joannes Auanger Parochus Sinchingae 1808”. That's why I named my font family Parochus. In the Catholic Church, a parish is a community of the faithful within a particular church, whose pastoral care has been entrusted to a parish priest (Latin: parochus). Copacabana is heavily based on one of my favourite typefaces Goudy Old Style Italic. It is sharper and more clearly defined than Goudy yet still retains it old style characteristics. The face is slightly angled so is basically upright whilst still retaining Italic characteristics.

Claude Sans is the work of British designer Alan Meeks. The conservative roman weight is complemented by a more extravagant italic. The proportions are based on those of the original Garamond typeface of Claude Garamond, from whom this type gets its name. British designer Thomas Oldfield, who brought you Hombre BT and Reaper, has scratched out another typeface, this one called Jerk Chicken BT. I guess, if you can imagine a quill tip pen somehow wedged 'tween a scrawny chicken's toes, you'd end up with the scrawl, blobs, blotches and bleeds that would make most type designers run for the hen house. Not Thomas; he saw only commercial potential. So lay down some scratch and order up some Jerk Chicken BT. Hey, while you're at it, why not extend the license to a dozen users? This series of faces was designed initially by Morris Fuller Benton, circa 1900. The design is a refinement of Taylor Gothic from 1897.
