Geometric sans serif is one of my favorite fonts because it's so, simple, clean and modern, and a long time I've been dreaming of making this type, inspired by many media and especially "Futura, 1927" ( by Early Bauer) I created "Magnify" Geometric sans. The structure and element shape of Magnify is not really perfectly circle, but slightly oval it can be seen in the uppercase letters O, G, C, Q and in the lowercase letters o, a, c, e. Magnify has 8 weights, - from Hairline to Bold and Matching Oblique. The famous French poet and novelist Victor Hugo (1802-1885) used several handwriting styles, sometimes almost illegible. His manuscripts designated to be published was written using a script style, to be legible clearly. We have used script style manuscripts from the final part of his life (from 1859 to 1881) to reconstruct this present font, as one exemple of the Victor Hugo's hands. It is a "Pro" font containing Western (including Celtic) and Northern European, Icelandic, Baltic, Eastern, Central European and Turquish diacritics. The numerous alternates and ligatures allow the font to look as close as possible to a real hand. Using an OTF software, the features allow to vary automatically, almost every character of a word without anything to do but to select contextual alternates and standard ligatures and/or stylistic alternates options.

Ckornoments is a two-font family of corner ornaments that was inspired by decorative grave ornaments. Similar ornaments can be found on old furniture and woodwork. Almost all ornaments come in sets of four for placement top right and left and bottom right and left. The two fonts, solid and outline, are designed to be used in layers but can be used separately. In addition, ornaments that include flowers have one part of the design separated out so the original and separated characters can be layered to give bi-colored images (or tri-colored with an outline). These ornaments are suitable for posters, newsletters, personal notes, and on other types of documents that benefit from framing. In addition to serving as corners, the ornaments can also be used as dividers between sections of text.

This family is inspired from the set of two styles, Roman normal and Italic, and the ornaments used by an unknown printer working around East Switzerland, circa 1750's. It is a Dutch style font, slightly bolder than usual Fournier's or Caslon's Roman fonts, with some emphasized serifs and finals parts and special letters as capital "U" for example. A set of initials, fleurons, ornaments and frame elements is joined to the family as a supplement. The two styles, Normal and Italic, are containing standard ligatures, a few alternative characters and titlings (who are more preferable than enlarged capitals). Base & Bloom is an experimental (but relatively organic) fusion of geometric monoline sans and high-contrast flourish didone. It was inspired by the lack of curious modern display sans as opposed to the uprise of contemporary serifs past couple of years. The idea was to incorporate flourishes not as unnecessary elements like swashes, but as a part of letter structure, which was an especially interesting task considering it was not a serif, which potentially could give more room for that. And after all, the idea pays off by generating many inventive letterform solutions. Loft is a typeface family of extremes: from the extra compressed Hairline to the extra wide Mammoth. Paris-based designer Julien Janiszewski’s aim was to create a type family based on a strict hierarchy — a suite that would provide graphic designers with a tool to create systematic solutions. Its design was inspired by 19th-century wood type as well as the sign saying “DÉFENSE D'AFFICHER” (Post No Bills) that is ubiquitous in France. Loft comes in seven weights with matching italics. Interestingly, counter widths remain the same across all weights. As weights increase, the characters extend by building stroke thickness outside the counter. The DIN Neue Roman adds something new to the established concept of the DIN 1451 type’s technical origin. As a serif counterpart it leaves its static appeal to bring some friendliness into this industrial idea. With more contrast than a slab serif and the dynamic stroke of transitional type DIN Neue Roman defies all conventions, but keeps its legibility. To have enough resources for diverse and complex typography this type family offers 7 weights with italics, small caps and all kind of opentype features. Type designer Philip Lammert likes to play with the great potential of contradictions. That brought him to this design combining two essentially different classics. DIN Neue Roman is part of his 2015’s master thesis at the HAW Hamburg which was supervised by Prof. Jovica Veljovic.

Opinion varies regarding the role of Claude Garamond (ca. 1480–1561) in the development of the Old Face font, Garamond. What is accepted is the influence this font had on other typeface developments from the time of its creation to the present. Garamond, or Garamont, is related to the alphabet of Claude Garamond (1480–1561) as well as to the work of Jean Jannon (1580–1635 or 1658), much of which was attributed to Garamond. In comparison to the earlier Italian font forms, Garamond has finer serifs and a generally more elegant image. The Garamond of Jean Jannon was introduced at the Paris World’s Fair in 1900 as “Original Garamond”, whereafter many font foundries began to cast similar types. Simoncini Garamond was designed by Francesco Simoncini to be true to the Original.

Poleno is a custom typeface originally designed in 2006 for the Slovak folk dance ensemble Poleno, as a part of their corporate identity. Ever since, new weights have been added to complete six variables and two different options for accents. Cowhand is a display typeface designed by Toshi Omagari to keep words at one specific width. Words of one letter will have one very wide character, words of two letters will have characters of half that width and so forth. At the maximum of 20-letter words, characters become very tightly compressed. The design of the Cowhand typeface is inspired by western style block printing with reverse stress that is characterised by chunky slab serifs. This Lite version of the typeface was designed as part of a font marathon over the course of 3.5 days in Monotype’s NY office. Linotype Tiger is part of the Take Type Library, chosen from the entries of the Linotype-sponsored International Digital Type Design Contests of 1994 and 1997. This fun font was created by German designers G. Jakob and J. Meißner. Like the font Linotype Sunburst, Linotype Tiger is also a typeface without curves, rather, angular and almost aggressive. The forms are reminiscent of splinters of wood arranged to form letters, numerals and punctuation signs. The font contains five weights which can be combined experimentally with each other, even over each other, or combined with more neutral typefaces. The Killegar family is inspired by one of the great houses of Ireland...Killegar—which is on the grand Estate of Killegar. I lived there for many years. It is a quiet and peaceful place surrounded by lakes and trees and is inspirational in so many ways. All of my creative talents were boosted by this amazing two hundred year old building with all of it's secrets and heritage. Time stood still in Killegar....except for me and my modern day computers, cell phones and fax machines. This twist of fate, with me living both a rural and hi-tech life, living in an environment of the early 18th century, with the friendliest local people on the Earth, played it's part in the origin of the Killegar family of fonts. Hs Alnasma is an Arabic display typeface, under “titles” category. It is useful for book titles, creative designs and modern logos. Also, it is used when a contemporary and simple look is desired that can fit with the characteristics of Latin fonts where horizontal parts are thinner than vertical ones for use in technical and engineering company. The font is based on some modern lines of Kufi calligraphy along with some derived ideas of Latin fonts, maintaining the beauty of the Arabic font and its fixed rates. This font supports Arabic, Persian, Urdu, Kurdish and Pashto and also includes Basic Latin and consisting of two weights (regular and bold) which can add to the library of Arabic and Latin fonts contemporary models that meet with the purposes of various designs for all tastes.

Stanzer is an interpretation of wood type combined with the idea of modern stencils. Instead of cutting every letter, we are presenting an example of how a modern stencil typeface could look like, as we have come to the conclusion that almost every letter works without cutting it. Stanzer is a Unicase typeface, available in three OpenType weights: Black, Shadow and Block. Stanzer first started as part of our diploma 2010 (it was called Stanley at that time). The basic idea behind this typeface is that it is fully stencil usable, and, unlike other stencil fonts, does not require any bridges (except for the O and Q). Almost every letter can be sprayed without inserting planks. However, Stanzer also offers the display weight Block, which is only suitable for print or online usage.
