A hand-drawn typeface that depicts the idea of cutting away pieces of wood. It has a rough, yet modern appearance as it is largely based off the popular Gill Sans (with some modifications). Leaving a graphic and textured look.

Philson Block is a family with upright and oblique versions. The structure of each character is based on a square divided into simple fractions. Each letter has at least one variation, with angled corners, increased widths, or altered shapes. This font is recommended for display lettering, headlines, and blocks of type that mask images.

The font evokes a blocky and sketchy feel.

BLOCK CAPITALS is a square, geometric, small caps display face that avoids fashionable foibles and exudes the neutral, unpretentious functionality of time-honoured block lettering. The family has three widths (Narrow, Normal and Wide), and the Bold weights are loosely based on well-used squared nets – 3x5, 4x5 and 5x5. However, the typeface escapes its grid origins whenever necessary with slightly modulated stroke weights, sensitive spacing and careful kerning. The aim is to retain the strength and simplicity of strictly geometric characters while introducing barely perceptible refinements that add elegance and usability. That said, letters and numbers line up horizontally without overlapping the capline or baseline, even the tail of the Q does not descend below the Baseline. Based on the lettering and graphic design of the Beat Generation era, Daddy-O was produced in conjunction with the Whitney Museum of American Art to coincide with the exhibition Beat Culture and the New America: 1950-1965. These way gone fonts and extras both capture and affectionately satirize the graphic design of the era. Package now features poet Rod McKuen in an updated version of the Beatsville album cover from 1959.

Milton Glaser commented about this type family: “The typeface is called Houdini after the famous American magician. I wanted to produce a letterform that would gradually disappear as one line after another was removed.” The various versions of Houdini presented by P22 include those originally offered as phototypesetting fonts, plus a solid and an outline version—a variation of which was used for Sesame Place children’s park in 1980. These Houdini variations can all be layered on top of each other for a range of chromatic effects. Each of the Houdini fonts contains over 375 characters for full European language coverage. The family is taken to its logical conclusion with the bonus font “P22 Glaser Houdini Vanished.” This font shares the same spacing and kerning as all of the Houdini font but lacks all visible outlines. Over the years there have been many typefaces that borrowed heavily from the Glaser designs, but these are the only official fonts approved by Milton Glaser Studio and the Estate of Milton Glaser.

P22 Zaner is based on ornamental penmanship from the turn of the 20th century. The Zaner font set includes four unique fonts that complement the other fonts in the set. Each font is available in PostScript and TrueType formats as well as OpenType which offers even more characters, options and overall functionality. Set options include PostScript and TrueType with a bonus set of extras and a “super” pro set containing over 3,000 characters. This font set is the second in a series from P22 Type Foundry based on the lettering styles of Frank Lloyd Wright. Created in 1931, the Exhibition lettering was intended primarily to accompany Frank Lloyd Wright's exhibition drawings and models. Many of the 72 Extras were designed to form continuous linking borders. Combinations of these geometric forms can provide endless variations of decorative elements in the style of Frank Lloyd Wright. Many of these images were based on Mr Wright's "Saguaro Forms and Cactus Flowers" illustration for an unused Liberty magazine cover of 1926. Other imagery in this set was derived from assorted geometric designs by Wright. Exhibition Regular, Light, and Bold have been remastered and now contain almost 400 characters including support for Western and Central European languages.

The P22 Underground Pro font family started in 1997 as the first and only officially licensed revival of Edward Johnston’s London Underground railway lettering. The original design by Richard Kegler sought to be as true to the original as possible. In 2007 P22 revised and expanded the fonts into a massive character set with additional weights, language support, and stylistic alternates. Endeavoring to make this font family a more versatile and useful tool for a designer, P22 sought to add true italics to this stalwart type design. The only other existing italic interpretation of Johnston’s Underground type was executed by the inimitable Dave Farey and Richard Dawson at Housestyle Graphics. We asked Dave Farey to imagine an Underground italic that would pair well with the P22 Underground, done as if Edward Johnston himself might approach the design challenge. This new italic version was then expanded for all six of the existing P22 Underground weights and characters sets by James Todd of JTD Type. Final mastering of the P22 Underground Pro roman and italic with a streamlined yet still expansive language coverage by P22 partner Patrick Griffin of Canada Type. These refinements remain true to the original Johnston design while employing contemporary typographic finesse to create six weights with optional alternates to increase legibility. The new P22 Underground Pro family is now a rock-solid and very versatile humanist sans serif font family that should be a cornerstone of any designer’s typographic toolkit. After five years in development, the new P22 Underground Pro is the most iconic and useful font family ever presented by P22 Type Foundry.

P22 Nudgewink is a funky font family with humorous retro 1960s attitude and crazy bouncy baseline now in four weights (That is one louder!) Each character in the Pro fonts has four different variations accessible with any OpenType friendly application. The "P22 Randomizer" feature makes sure that variations of each letter keep the look of hand lettering with slight variations of up to four versions of the same letter appearing automatically. Along with stylistic alternates, Pro versions include automatic fractions, ligatures, superiors, inferiors, ordinals and a whole bunch of groovy graphic dingbats. Ching Mang is a cartoon character created by Hajime Kawakami for a magazine in Japan in the 1980s. This picture font features various expressions of this fun creature. It features solid and outline variations for multi-color overlay effects in layout.

The design of P22 Foxtrot is inspired by the lively ballroom dance of the same name. Foxtrot is a transitional antiqua with rounded serifs that features ligatures, small caps, oldstyle numerals and full Central European support for those with applications that support OpenType features. The companion, Foxtrot Sans, is a sans serif version with a little more jazzy expression. Both fonts are great for text and display.

Peanut is a face full of bounce and playfulness but is based on the traditions of the long revered Roman minuscule. The letters are unique in that they imply “youth” without relying on cliché child-like letterforms. Peanut and Peanut Sans come in a ‘Salted’ style which features many alternate letterforms. Both the Salted and regular styles are combined into in the Pro fonts.
