Cal Fraktur Brush is one more font from the PKG “Cal” (Calligraphic) group. This time, we used a wide brush instead of the calligraphic pen for the sketches. Noted British type designer David Quay designed Blackmoor in 1983. Based on an old English letter style, this textura-style Blackletter evokes a mediaeval character, expertly mixing a gothic lowercase together with Lombardic capitals. Traction was originally conceived and designed by Swiss astronomer Christian Thalmann. Schriftlabor designers Chiara Mattersdorfer and Miriam Surányi expanded, completed and produced the font family. This typeface sports signature serifs, soft edges and a fluid, organic design. Enlarged, the organic letters are reminiscent of the profiles of ­off-road tyres and hiking boots. In text sizes, it is the humanistic forms that set the tone to ensure fluid legibility. Totalling at 18 styles in nine weights, all fonts come with small capitals and all possible numerical variations.

Ainslie Contrast is the newest in the Ainslie series, named for the famous mountain overlooking the Australian city of Canberra. The Ainslie series currently consists of four typefaces. The Ainslie design is very unique and originally began life as a semi-serif. Also available are a normalized sans serif and slab variants. This contemporary typeface’s high contrast catches the eye. The design flows with ease and sophistication. There are a mix of influences from Australia, which gives it a unique flavor. The original Ainslie was designed for the Canberra Australia Centennial Typeface Competition and named for the mountain that overlooks the beautiful capital city of Australia. Ainslie takes Canberra's distinct geometric design and blends it with the organic, flowing essence of aboriginal art and the smooth aerodynamic design of the boomerang. The typeface includes a multitude of alternates that can be accessed in any OpenType application. There are swashes and other details such as small caps, alternative titling caps and swash alternates. Yekuana is a typeface whose design is based primarily on the study of certain geometric ethnic ancestral Venezuelan signs, visually rich and originally used in the enrichment of various utilitarian objects with high symbolic and cultural content. Yekuana is a family of two weights, stylistic alternates, fractions, ordinals and ligatures. Its use is recommended for titles or short phrases and elements of oversized visual communication.

Hera Big is a type family in eight weights & 16 fonts. The family explores the motion and fluidity of the ball serif, in an evolution from its previous identity as a counterpart to the slab serif. Informed by great fat-faces from Figgins to Lubalin, but never deferring to precedent by default, Hera is a fresh mix of originality and organic form, never sacrificing function for beauty.

This is an original typeface designed in the Arts And Crafts style. It is similar to Arts And Crafts GS, but with a more organic hand lettering style true to the Arts and Crafts movement. It is loosely inspired by the decorative lettering of Jessie Marion King, and the Scottish style of Charles Rennie Mackintosh of the Glasgow School, from which Jessie received her training.

Aglio was developed from letterforms originally painted by muralist/artist Tanya Zabinski. Aglio maintains the character of bold brushstrokes with random gaps and marks, and there are flourishes of articulated endstrokes. The original Frutiger typeface was designed in the early 1970s by Adrian Frutiger and his studio for the way finding system of the Roissy Charles de Gaulle airport in Paris. Soon after the airport was opened, a huge demand for the typeface arose from companies wanting to employ it in other signage systems, as well as in printed matter. The Frutiger typeface came out as part of the Linotype library in 1977. Epitomizing functionality and clarity both in signage and as a bread-and-butter typeface in print, Frutiger became a modern classic. Neue Frutiger® is the 2009 version of the Frutiger typeface family. It was revised and improved by Akira Kobayashi in close collaboration with Adrian Frutiger. While Frutiger Next, the 1999 revision, introduced a new concept (including a larger x-height, a more pronounced ascender height, narrower letter-spacing and, most notably, an italic with calligraphic traits), Neue Frutiger returns to the original 1977 design. The result is a well-balanced range of 10 finely-graded weights. Despite the various changes, the ‘New Frutiger’ still fits perfectly with Frutiger and serves to harmoniously enhance the styles already in existence. I like Ravens. In fact, I like them so much that I have a tattoo of a Haida raven! Ravenheart was more or less modelled on my Qilin font, but it is completely different. It is scary and inky, but it has a certain flair as well. A bit mystical, a bit evil, but I am sure you’ll find many uses for it. Comes with a fluttering of diacritics.
