Kryptic is based on a design for computer optical character recognition (OCR) from the 1960s developed by Epps & Evans at the National Physical Laboratory. Its pure geometric and elemental shapes create graphic patterns and visual puzzles that only secondarily communicate meaning. Not recommended for extended text, unless intentionally encrypting!

Stefano is a meld of traditional Roman typeface design and calligraphic hand lettering. It is bold yet refined; elegant yet forceful. Stefano will enhance the urbane and elevate the prosaic.

A modern neo-grotesque typeface. Having grown up in Sheffield and been completely immersed in the work of The Designers Republic I became very drawn to their treatment of Helvetica, especially the close tracking of the letter space. This visual investigation led me to the study of the font Hass Unica, a so called improvement to Helvetica. In order not to replicate and become a clone of Unica I redrew all the characters from scratch improving optical appearance, developing subtle corrections and reshaping individual letterforms. The result is a remixed neo-grotesque font that has strong general optical balance with great rhythm under close tracking. Details include 10 weights, an extended European character set, true italic, manually edited kerning and Euro symbol.

When they say everything’s already been invented, they’re exaggerating a bit. But not much. When we design new typefaces, whether we like it or not, we have in our memories the historical legacy and invention of our predecessors. That’s also true for more detailed work on optical sizes, intended for the largest or the smallest typesetting. Although for display sizes we give room for fantasy and elegance when shaping fine serifs or smooth drawings full of refined details, for styles designed for footnotes and other small texts we do the exact opposite – pragmatically and rationally, with knowledge of the optical properties of small text. And that’s precisely the case for the Tabac Micro subfamily, a sans-serif typeface derived from Tabac Sans.

Puchiflit is a typeface disguised as a pen script. I didn't create this typeface by importing the letters on paper and tracing them into a computer with a draw application. So I think it's a pseudo-pen script typeface. By the way, I used a famous Japanese maker's felt-tip pen as a reference for line widths. I thought, "Isn't this what it would look like if I wrote with this pen? I drew a line in the draw application while fantasizing about this.

Carbona is our attempt to imagine the future through typography. The perspective of the future is, perhaps, the greatest force of action humans have. The family is designed to deal with the situations of the digital world, today and what is yet to come. Sharplion is a typeface family designed by Zeki Michael and Leyla Melis Aslan. It’s a simple, but sharp display typeface with a clear yet powerful personality, created to not only optimize space, but also build contrast on the printed page and on the screen. Sharplion, coming in two weights and a matching slanted version, is designed to give that neo-vintage industrial feel in 'titles and hierarchic subheadings, logotypes and cases of short and simple copywriting for the artisan, hand-made and small batch look.’ The first 4 letters for what is now Sharplion, were designed in 2018 by Zeki Michael to be used as a logotype for Depo Coffee Roasting’s branding project. In early 2019 after Zeki designed all the letters, numbers and glyphs, he teamed up with talented designer, Leyla Melis Aslan to add strength to the project. The full Sharplion type system includes Regular, Black and Slanted styles – providing a simple but sharp contrast type solution for digital and print design work.

Diverda Sans is a geometric family of typefaces that are all free from ornament. Swiss designer Daniel Lanz optimized Diverda Sans for maximum legibility. In contrast to many other modern typefaces, which try to squeeze the traditional rounder forms of the alphabet into square designs, and which often attempt to equalize the widths of the capital letters, Diverda Sans remains true to the proper proportions of the Roman alphabet. The x-heights of Diverda's characters are low, and the differences between curved, square, and triangular elements are very clear. Like the more calligraphic typefaces of the past, Diverda's strokes exhibit contrast that is inspired by movements of the pen on paper; down strokes are heavier than up strokes. Possible applications for the Diverda Sans include magazine design, as well as advertising for fashion, design, or architectural products. Because of its 10 different individual styles or weights, Diverda Sans is also a good fit for Corporate Identity solutions.

Red Amaretto is a script typeface influenced by different ancient writing styles. All characters are handwritten by use ink and flat nib pen on coarse paper, scanned, digitized and optimized for best quality without lost its handwritten visual appearance. Coarse glyphs edges are easy visible at medium and higher sizes. Character set support all official and semi-official languages in European Union writen in latin, cyrillic and greek scripts. Supported codepages: 1250 Central (Eastern) European, 1251 Cyrillic, 1252 Western (ANSI), 1253 Greek, 1254 Turkish, 1257 Baltic. Somewhat extravagant and yet quite useful? Yes, absolutely. Meet Salted family: two awesome styles and a way cool picture font. Deliberately free-spirited, Salted – the Regular, yet regular is not quite an appropriate adjective for it – brings alternates and also discretionary ligatures that completely transform the font mood, adding unexpected touches of cursive script here and there and thus creating sort of a wild feel. Salted Sweet also brings alternates: 3 for letters, 2 for digits, and is way more even-tempered than it’s playmate. By the way, they play truly nice together. Enter the picture font and the team is complete for an exciting time. It’s said that the cure for anything is salt water: sweat, tears or the sea. We totally agree. Perhaps the cure for a boring design lies in a salted font. Give it a go!

D^44 Caps represents a sort of inverted creative process: start from the printed element to create the font to print. The esthetic analysis of pression's missprint is the origin of D^44 design. The redesign of this misprint has created 3 versions differentiated by optical weight: Bold, Only and Light.

Recobant is a very charming and stylish font, and is designed to resemble engraving. It also features ligatures and multi-language support. I have made this font as smooth as possible, reducing the number of nodes in each glyph to ensure optimal cutting with Circut, Silhouette or other craft machines.

ITC Giovanni is the work of the californian type designer Robert Slimbach, whose goal was to create a face of classic old style proportions that was nevertheless thoroughly contemporary. ITC Giovanni was given a modern feel with slightly shortened ascenders and descenders, a slightly larger x-height and optically lighter capitals.

STRAW The inspiration for this capital alphabet came from those beautiful haystacks you see in summer and the old fashioned Mikado game! A circa-1940s textbook for the Esterbrook Drawlet Pens (similar to Speedball pens) offered numerous samples of lettering that could be obtained by following the simple directions and using the book as a guide. One example was a classic Art Deco design made with a round nib pen, and it has been redrawn digitally as Lettering Book JNL in both regular and oblique versions.

Flash was designed in 1953 by the designer Enric Crous-Vidal, as part of the graphic trend “Grafía latina”. It is a three-dimensional typography, which seeks optical and relief effects, similar to those of wood engraving. It gives a handcrafted look to any printed piece.
