Cachiyuyo is a bitmap font designed for screen titles and to be printed, has a large x height, is very tight and orthogonal. Cachiyuyo is meant for short texts and simple layouts. Is optimized for screen at 8px, 16px, 32px etc.

Organic Respect is my monospaced and organic slab serif font. Although the font is monospaced - which may not lead your mind to something organic - I did my best to make the letters appear vibrant and lively in an organic way. Drunken Tower may look like a bit like my a Drunken Hour and Drunken Shower fonts. But there are a lot differences! This font is way more distorted and rugged than its brothers! The font has got Ligatures for double upper- and lowercase and numbers as well. Plus, an alternate version for each letter - again, both upper- and lowercase! You will need to use OpenType supporting applications to use the autoligatures.

Renova was designed by Elsner+Flake in the late 90s as a contractual work. The font family comes as a typical Office pack in EuropePlus layout for at least 72 Latin languages. It is optimized for good legibility in small point sizes.

Excelsor Script is inspired by lithographically produced scripts. It is softer and simpler than, for example, engraved Splendid Script, because its designer used pens and lithographic needles. The graver for steel is held in a quite different way and this has an influence on the shape of the letter. Similar type faces were in use from Neo-Classicism until the beginning of Art Nouveau, when they were pushed aside by a completely different view of festive typography. It has, in contradistinction to other scripts, slightly narrowed letters, which signifies a distinctive elegance without wasting space on the line. For practical reasons it was not possible to encircle the bottle with too long a label. It is, therefore, a suitable type face for labels. Its two optical grades cover a wide range of sizes.

Kentledge is a grotesque sans type family based on geometric forms that have been optically corrected for better legibility. The family includes extended language support (over 200 languages), alternates, ligatures and more. It is best suited for graphic design and any display / text use.

ITC Newtext was designed by Ray Baker, who created a well designed and legible typeface and built into it every design refinement which could optimize its usefulness. The expanded shapes are generous and legible and the economical vertical set results in more lines to the page.

Monde Libre is a display typeface that exudes optimism, joy, and whimsy. I designed this typeface based on a sign in a clip from some old film footage I saw somewhere. It stayed with me as a typeface that evokes the France of my dreams. Enjoy!

Thud is a family of seven weights with roman and true italics. Weights are done with parabolic formula by Luc(as) de Groot for each weight to be optically in between the next weight. Made for headlines, but kerned well enough for larger amounts of text.

This special newstext version of TheAntiqua was developed in close collaboration with the Berlin newspaper Die Tages­zeitung (taz). Its sturdy forms were optimized for newspaper stock. Kryptic is based on a design for computer optical character recognition (OCR) from the 1960s developed by Epps & Evans at the National Physical Laboratory. A modern neo-grotesque typeface. Having grown up in Sheffield and been completely immersed in the work of The Designers Republic I became very drawn to their treatment of Helvetica, especially the close tracking of the letter space. This visual investigation led me to the study of the font Hass Unica, a so called improvement to Helvetica. In order not to replicate and become a clone of Unica I redrew all the characters from scratch improving optical appearance, developing subtle corrections and reshaping individual letterforms. The result is a remixed neo-grotesque font that has strong general optical balance with great rhythm under close tracking. Details include 10 weights, an extended European character set, true italic, manually edited kerning and Euro symbol.

When they say everything’s already been invented, they’re exaggerating a bit. But not much. When we design new typefaces, whether we like it or not, we have in our memories the historical legacy and invention of our predecessors. That’s also true for more detailed work on optical sizes, intended for the largest or the smallest typesetting. Although for display sizes we give room for fantasy and elegance when shaping fine serifs or smooth drawings full of refined details, for styles designed for footnotes and other small texts we do the exact opposite – pragmatically and rationally, with knowledge of the optical properties of small text. And that’s precisely the case for the Tabac Micro subfamily, a sans-serif typeface derived from Tabac Sans.

Mellnik is a sans serif of humanist style (in a way) that was developed by Oleg Karpinsky for ParaType in 2006. The type family contains nine styles with a number of alternate characters in each ones. For use as a text font in long text passages of advertising booklets, catalogues or magazines, as well as for accident setting. Mellnik may be also applied as a corporate typeface. Five condensed styles were added in 2007 by the same designer.
