This font came to be when I was creating a cake topper mockup (see the promo images) and didn't have a thick script font that I liked for it. So I got to work writing out some fun chunky cursive letters that could top a cake! The concept of breaking bread is an old one, often meaning two parties working together. In the Breaking Bread font, I've combined that heavy connecting script with a hand-lettered sans-serif uppercase set. It works in all lowercase, all uppercase, and title case with equal ease! I've also included a number of alternates and ligatures, so you can have a truly hand-written look when double-letter words show up, plus a few extra characters and swashes to add some pizzazz to your work. It's great for crafting a mug or t-shirt, creating a logo, or making product packaging! And all of those alternates are PUA-encoded, so they're easy to access in any character map. Abril is an extension of the Abril typographic system that was engineered as a response to a very specific requirement from the editorial design community: a low contrast typeface for head- lines. Given its broad range of styles though, Abril deserves to be considered a separate font family on its own. Based on the original text styles of Abril, the letter shapes are sturdy, very legible, and deliver a newsy and trustworthy feel. Neuarc Font Family This is the 20th font family of CozyFonts Foundry, established 10 years ago in 2012 with the release of Aladdin Bold. Neuarc is based loosely on arcs and curves, hence it’s naming. As shown in one of the font posters that serves to showcase this font, a collage of rough sketches is displayed as the poster’s background. These hand drawn pencil drawings were worked and reworked and The final drawings were scanned and built in Adobe Illustrator and transferred to glyph windows, glyph by glyph, in Fontlab 8. The 5 styles, so far, are reminisscent of The Art Deco Era of Design between the 1030s and 1950s. Neuarc also has it’s own footprint with several characters that stand out, eg. A, 8, &, B, ?, $, 5, w, x, a, c, e, etc. giving the reason for the ’Neu’ in the naming. These letterforms & Numbers work extremely well in monograms. Each styles has it’s own personality. Wood Type Catalogs of the 19th century often offered tools and accessories alongside alphabets of wood type. Probably the most closely related was wood type borders and ornaments. Decorative Borders were often sold by the foot and accompanied by corner pieces that matched the designs. These borders could be assembled in almost any size dimensions as needed. The digital version uses the same principals of modular assembly to create the exact size border that is needed. Along with the borders, included in this font are a selection of "streamers". These banners would have been made to order with the font designs reversed out along a horizontal banner with decorative end caps. The digital version allows for a modular assembly by selecting choice of end caps and then typing the = as many times as needed to achieve the desired length. 10 styles of 9 piece borders can be created in any size variations as well as 8 styles of streamers in any desired length. Some of the designs can be mixed and matched for unusual contemporary design interpretations of these historic styles. It is recommended that the line height (leading) is set to the same size as the point size setting, this will visually lock all elements together.

Momoiro is a feminine typeface family, designed for editorial use. "The first case in which appeared a fashion content in a magazine was in 1672 in the magazine Le Mercure Galant, which was a magazine of entertainment and varied content, including fashion. But the first illustrated and specialized magazine was Le Journal Des Dammes Et Des Modes, created in 1797. "(Fashion Trends, 2011). On the basis of this historical period, the creation of typography has characteristics of a Baroque type. "In this category we mainly include the types created in the Netherlands during the seventeenth century and whose protagonists are the punch makers Reinhard Voskens and Christoffel Van Dijck. Baroque typography stands out for its accentuated play of irregular axes and contrasts that permeate the text of great vividness. " Therefore it has contrast in the thick and thin strokes, Roman serifs, humanistic axis. With this typography, we are not looking for a re-reading of the baroque, but rather a current typeface with humanistic characteristics of the handwriting, with a brush as a differential. Momoiro comes in two weights plus italics to cover as much design needs as possible. It compliments from OpenType features such as ligatures, swashes, true fractions, old style numerals and stylistic sets.

Malden Sans is a mischievous grotesque sans serif with charming details that gives designers a solid typographic voice. It was created by Michele Patanè with regular and condensed widths, as a utilitarian typeface family for print and digital environments. It was originally designed as part of a type system for cinema magazines, and embodies the devil-may care attitude of the silver screen. Designer Michele Patanè looked back to an earlier era of typography to create the typeface, embracing unusual details, rather than ironing them out. “There is a very naive way of using typography in the 30s and 40s, something not as clean as how it’s used in the late 50s and 60s when everything passed through a rationalisation of the typographic palette,” he explains. “In film magazines you can still see a bit of roughness, and I like that.” This is a design that’s desperate to be used in editorial environments, and has been created to stand up to lower quality paper. It would be equally at home on posters, packaging, and even in digital environments where designers are looking for something more expressive than another geometric sans serif. Malden Sans includes a Normal and Condensed range, with 7 weights in the normal and 6 in the Condensed, both including italics.

Article to appear on the font family page: According to the Catholic faith, a well known náhuatl story called "Nican Mopohua" (translated as "Here it's narrate") about the Marianas apparitions on the Tepeyac's hill, to the north of the actual Mexico City. After four apparitions, La Virgen de Guadalupe (LVG) told Juan Diego (JD) that he must introduce himself to the first Bishop of Mexico. JD took in his "ayate" some roses (that aren't natives to Mexico's barren territories) and when he dropped them in front of the bishop, the image of LVG appeared in front of him with indigenous features. I’ve worked a lot in this font that appears to came out of nowhere, just like the image of LVG itself, the fact is that I started first sketching some flowers, because I wanted to do something related to this mexican story, so, taking some features from this flowers I started sketching some letters, for example “r” and “i” and the counter forms for some letters like “a” and “o” (that I didn’t use by the way) and the punctuation marks, all inspired by this leaf forms. Century Gothic™ is based on Monotype 20th Century, which was drawn by Sol Hess between 1936 and 1947. This is my version of the classic DIN 1451 Mittelschrift, complete with a large multilingual character set. I have made it primarily because I want to have a bit of fun with it by experimenting with giving it some very different expressions - far removed from its serious and no-nonsense roots. Pata Slab: the ultra-heavy optimism we all need in 2020 Pata Slab is the type equivalent of a catwalk stomp down a city sidewalk, a font that’s assertive, funky and more than a little sexy. Named after a colloquialism for ‘feet’, Pata features ultra-heavy slabs and contrasting hairline centers that rise from its chunky footprint. The resulting, retro-inspired vertiginous curves add instant attitude to any design. Carlton is based on a typeface designed by Prof. F. H. Ehmcke. In 1908, Ehmcke released his Ehmcke-Antiqua design through the Flinsch typefoundry in Germany. Ehmcke-Antiqua was later distributed by the Bauer typefoundry in Frankfurt am Main. The Caslon Letter Foundry in England discovered the design and released their own typeface based upon the model, which they named Carlton. Carlton entered the Stephenson Blake program after they acquired the Caslon Letter Foundry in the late 1930s. As hot and cold metal typesetting became outdated technologies, Carlton and Ehmcke-Antiqua fell out of general use. In the 1990s, Letraset revived this classic design, distributing it under its English name, Carlton. Carlton's clean and generous capitals, as well as its understated yet detailed lower case, have found popularity again in recent years. The elegance of Carlton is best used for displays with large letter and word spacing. Carlton shows all of the hallmarks of a delicate serif typeface design; its forms capture a distinct moment that was common within Central European type design during the first third of the 20th Century. Carlton is similar to several other expressive typefaces from the early 1900s, including Bernhard Modern, Koch Antiqua, Locarno, and Nicolas Cochin."
