Alpineo is a display type family, optical mono linear and a bit squarish in nature. It has a distinct stroke-joint style, which is a prominent feature of its design. It has been designed to be a little eye-catching yet legible. It has clear and distinguishable letterforms, which helps to elaborate and emphasis the message. It is graphically strong and command viewer’s attention. The overall appearance of type is suitable in setting it as logotype, punchline, title, headline, etc. The type family consists of six weights viz. Thin, ExLight, Light, Regular, Medium and Bold. Rufolo is a family of fonts that can be considered both aesthetic and utilitarian. It has an apparent serif, barely hinted at, whose clear past reference is a beautiful epigraphic script on the marble plate placed at the southern entrance of the Roman amphitheatre, in Pompeii. Perhaps its origin dates back to Ugarit's cuneiform writing (as Morrison suggests as the origin of the serif in "Politics and Scripts") whose characteristic triangular-shaped incision footprint produces a powerful trait that not only gives character to the writing but also facilitates its support and visual compensation of sizes with neighboring signs. Other clear inspirational references have been Robert Hunter Middleton's Stellar (1929); Albertus (1932) by William A. Dwiggins; Optima (1952) by Hermann Zapf; And more recently RRollie (2016) by our foundry. Rufolo collects the attractive characteristic of the stroke endings but the proportions of its structure becomes much more regular, the capitals are in line with a constant square module, while the above references retain the proportions of the Roman Trajan. Some endings strokes have slightly baroque reminiscence with the intention of giving it greater plasticity and aesthetic enrichment, but absolutely controlled, taking special care of the aspects of readability and expressive neutrality. Rufolo Family comes in four weight: Light, Regular, Bold and Black, accompanied by its corresponding Italic versions.

The musical was based on the hit 1933 stage play that introduced the song "Smoke Gets in Your Eyes". The play itself was based on the Alice Duer Miller novel "Gowns by Roberta".

The French publication “La Lettre Dans le Decor et La Publicite Modernes” (“The Letter in the Modern Décor and Advertising”) was a 24-page booklet showcasing the then-current trends of the time (circa late 1930s-early 1940s). On one page was found a squared, extra bold sans serif alphabet set with strong Art Nouveau influences, yet it was ahead of its time by taking on the look and feel of 1980s techno typography. They say “everything old is new again”, and Nouveau Techno JNL is now available digitally in both regular and oblique versions.

Vatican is a calligraphic face. The lower case is influenced by the lettering of Arthur Baker but the caps are more formal, the shape of the Cap V reminded me of a Bishops Mitre which led eventually to the name. The lighter weight works particually well in small text pieces

Calligraphica was designed because there are very few inline fonts, and even fewer inline calligraphic fonts. The original forms were written with a split pen in a single stroke. The minuscules have a rougher look and the capitals have a smoother shape to imitate hand written calligraphy with more formal, decorative initial caps.
