Named for the island that I had the pleasure of calling home for four years, Samui Script is a lovingly made, hand-lettering-style, script font, with a bouncy baseline and exuberant character. Taking mid 20th century commercial lettering as its inspiration, it is no revival, or pale imitation of past forms. I used to live in the English Lake District, where I worked in an outdoor gear store. I bought a bright red mountain bike and each day, after work, I cycled up the mountain and hurtled down - heavy metal blasting from my MP3 player. Of course, the bike was a regular MTB, so it got some serious damage after a while, but the adrenaline rush was great! This ornamental font is the interpretation of ornaments of Trypillya culture. Trypillya culture, or Cucuteni-Trypillya is an archaeological culture of neolithic times. Its name derives from the name of the village of Trypillya nearby Kyiv. This culture experienced its culmination between 5500 and 2750 BC. The Trypillians lived in the territories between the Carpathian Mountains and the Dniper River of the modern Ukraine, Moldova and Romania. Many interesting ceramics decorated with original geometric ornaments survived to amaze us. Its heritage is still a little unknown to the public and therefore the patterns that are reproduced in this font have no analogues in the digital format.

I will spare you the long-winded description this time and all of the motivations and witty innuendoes. Quite frankly, I forgot about creating this typeface and it sat on my hard drive for almost a year. Luckily, my daughter Isobel saw the initial drawings one day and ask me about those pretty letters and I remembered… yep, that happened. That said, time made this a better typeface… with fresh eyes and time, much was redrawn, retooled and expanded to something I truly enjoy playing with. Shameless makes extensive use of Contextual alternates to create a proper ebb and flow from letter to letter. Interestingly, there are only a handful of ligatures… instead many special combinations are accounted for solely by relying on Contextual Alts. Mix in Stylistic Alts, Swashes, responsive Titling Alts, numerous Style Sets, etc and you can have a lot of fun. I created 2 versions. A ‘Standard’ version that has 2200+ characters and a ‘Deluxe’ version that has 2400+ characters and an interesting caveat… I plan on expanding the Deluxe version any time I have an idea to add to the typeface… and as such, buyers will receive all of those updates at no charge (with updates going directly to the distributors). You get what you pay for… no insane discounts. Oh, and if you are wondering… Shameless is based on my handwriting using Kuretake Zig CocoIro pens. I love these pens.

Much will depend on what features your software recognises.

"VTF League" is a fully-kerned, hard working, 14-font athletic block display family. Its letterforms feature a synthesis of heavy verticals and lighter horizontals that create a steady visual rhythm, and chiseled terminals to help establish a competitive personality. Although developed for sports branding and similar projects, "VTF League" was inspired by the harmonized mix of sturdy, industrialized, no-nonsense typefaces and the brand uniqueness of local distilleries around Eastern Tennessee during a week-long moonshine tour in February 2018. Mesquite is a narrow Tuscan-style typeface designed at Adobe in 1990. Like older Tuscans from the 19th Century, Mesquite has elaborate, creative serif treatments-although the serifs are so unique that it is difficult to call them serifs anymore, they are more like pointy finials. A convex-concave-convex ornamental feature appears on the middle of each vertical and diagonal stroke. Together with the serifs" at the tops and bottoms of each stroke, this feature creates a "tri-band" pattern over text set in Mesquite. Mesquite is not a text face. Aside from its narrowness and decorative qualities, Mesquite has no lowercase. The font's uppercase glyphs have been directly copied and placed in the lowercase range."

This is not an historically accurate font but rather one intended capture the spirit of ancient Roman manual type. It was inspired by various patterns used in documents and books created by Latin scribes between the second and fourth centuries. They used either calamus and ink on papyrus, or a pointed metal stick on wax tablets. We have created the font for contemporary use; distinguishing between U and V, I and J, which had no meaning for ancient Latin scribes, and adding thorn, Oslash, Lslash, W, Y and common accented characters that did not exist at the time. A lot of titlings and contextual alternates complete the set. Available only in TTF and OTF format.
