The name and design inspiration for Theater Bar JNL comes from an image of an old bar with an overhead neon sign in very stylized sans serif lettering (most likely from the 1940s) and is available in both regular and oblique versions.

Brandold is based on the repetition of one shape, the equilateral triangle. Using these triangles as pixels I built a medieval-like font that looks new, but follows an old aesthetic. I chose to make this font because I hadn’t seen anything similar.

Inspired from ancient Celtic lettering such like insular-half-uncial. New interpretation of Celtic letters bring a whole new feel to old letterings. At the same time, the font has handwritten-style glyphs as if they were handwritten same as the ancient letters.

Scribe is an elaborate typeface somewhere in between Bodoni and an English script. It has interwoven capitals and joining lowercase letters. I have tried to make something new that has this old, settled touch. I think I like it. Yours sincerely, Gert Wiescher

Contane Text is the text optimized version of the Contane family. More solid, more robust, it repesents the down-home addition to the more subtle Contane family. Hand drawn, sketchy antiqua that come in two font variants: Regular, Small caps with old style figures. Æterna was revised 2012 and now hold a full character set of basic english/latin letters and west european diacritics!

Hyggemand is not a real word: it is a combination of Hygge (meaning ‘fun’ or ‘coziness’ in Danish) and Mand (which means man in Danish). Combined it means something like ‘Nice Man’. I just like the sound and look of this name, so if I offend Danish languages purists, then I apologise for this monstrosity! ;-) Hyggemand is a happy kids font that comes with extensive language support and a set of alternates for the lower case glyphs. If you want the cute Huggeman face, you will find it as a stylistic alternate for the asterisk.

Core Escher is an optical illusion type family which has two sub-families: Core Escher A and B. Core Escher A has impossible shapes inspired by the optical illusion works of artist M.C. Escher. The letterforms in this type family are structurally twisted and complicated but it looks simple because of its simple strokes. And for easy color variations, it split into two fonts, Core Escher A Left and Right. Core Escher B has a different kind of optical illusion. The letters of Core Escher B look like three dimentions by just putting thin lines on bold letters. Also B has two sub-families that have different viewpoints. Core Escher Family supports complete Basic Latin, Cyrillic, Central European, Turkish, Baltic character sets. Each font includes proportional figures, tabular figures, numerators, denominators, superscript, scientific inferiors, subscript, fractions and case features. This family is really nice for book titles, headlines, logotypes and any artworks.

What started as a small project for Mike Humphrey of Chiltern Image Service in the UK ended up as Air Corps JNL, a typeface featuring retro letters and numbers from military aircraft. Expanded to a full character set with punctuation, foreign accents, monetary figures and the like, Air Corps JNL is also available in an oblique version.

Tapa is a classical old roman typeface family which has been cut with sharp serif; Its stems, proportions, serif and elegant angles, may induce into a new view of the "Old roman faces" by our contemporary digital age. Falstaff first appeared with Monotype in 1931, an alphabet in the style of a wide, bold antiqua that was especially popular in the first third of the 19th century. Such typefaces distinguished themselves through their consistent basis in the transitional antiqua style. They are characterized by their extremely fine unflexed serifs with no curve connecting them to the thick strokes. The numerals with their generous curves and ball-like stroke endings and beginnings are particularly decorative. The vertical strokes are dominant and give lines of this typeface a column-like and therefore static look. Falstaff is today often used for book titling, especially for mystery novels. It is best used sparingly in middle and larger point sizes.
