Francker is a sans-serif typeface family based on clean and simple principles of design. The letterforms' curves are inspired by the "super ellipse," a mathematical shape that is about halfway between an ellipse and a rectangle. As a graphic designer, sometimes it’s impossible not to be inspired by the Swiss Style, specifically the work of Armin Hofmann, who is one of its best exponents. Grids and grotesk and neo-grotesk typefaces are a fundamental part of the tools that make this aesthetic possible. A visual language that has caused full admiration since we were students. Therefore, we decided to design Armin as an homage to Hofmann’s work. Every time I bring my youngest son to his swimming lessons, I need to show my Covid Vaccination Pass; a QR code on my phone. I thought that I would be off the hook after I showed it the first time, but no, not at the swimming pool! It feels a bit like a bad comic book, so I decided to name this comic book style font Identity Check. Of course, I should have called it Covid Vaccination Check, but that is just too much and it probably won’t sell. Who wants a font called Covid?? ;-) Identity Check is a comic book style font. The glyphs are wider than I am used to (it seems I AM capable of learning new tricks), but the effect is rather nice. Identity Check comes with extensive language support, including Cyrillic and Vietnamese. Plus two sets of alternate glyphs, that cycle as you type.

Josef Albers was one of the most important artists and educators of the twentieth century. He was a member of the Bauhaus first as a student and then as a teacher from 1920 until its closing in 1933. He then moved to America, where he continued making art and teaching at numerous institutions until his death. Known principally as an abstract painter, he was also an accomplished designer, draftsman, typographer, and photographer. His works explore permutations of form, color, and perception using a restricted visual vocabulary. Created when he was at the Bauhaus, his Kombinationschrift alphabets exemplify the school's ethos. Using 10 basic shapes based on the circle and the rectangle, he created a system of lettering that was meant to be efficient, easy to learn, and inexpensive to produce. These 10 shapes in combination could form any letter or number. The letterforms of this computer version were taken directly from Albers' drawings and notes.

Mido is designed with the aim to recreate all the power of the early 19h century slab serifs, but without their geometric monotony. The ambition was to make a humanist slab serif that would function both in smaller sizes, as headlines, and poster size. Careful attention has been payed to the spaces within and inbetween letters – they show slight irregularities to create dynamic negative spaces, which in turn makes the letters sit solidly together as words and sentences. Mido is suitable for packaging, posters, book covers, identities and headlines, as well as type set in smaller sizes. It comes with both upper- and lower case figures. The font family Univers is one of the greatest typographic achievements of the second half of the 20th century. The family has the advantage of having a variety of weights and styles, which, even when combined, give an impression of steadiness and homogeneity. Releasing this typeface now, completely redrawing the masters, as well as expanding the weight and language options, should be seen as a laid back challenge that we need to do less with type, let it communicate confidently and warmly when it needs to, and stop forcing one-size-fits-all type trends on everyone.

The Mingler fonts have a great big smile and a crisp clear voice. They were originally created as a branding font for a restaurant chain to use in coupons, print ads and tv commercials. More recently this font is picking up popularity as a multi-purpose headline font for screens. It looks good on the web, in games and on-screen apps. Inspired by the subtle bends and flow of hand-painted signage, each stroke bends a bit in the middle and flairs out a bit on the ends. And look at that "e" —it is smiling!

Originally drawn in the style of 19th-century woodcut types with interior shading and ornate English swashes, Raphael was updated in 1974, and the interior shading was removed. It now exhibits modern design elements - very wide letter strokes offset by hairlines - and is easily identified by the swashes that curve over the tops of the capitals, turning into crossbars on the A, E, F, and R.
