In the 1960s it was a popular trend to personalize one’s possessions with your initials. From wallets and handbags to eyeglasses; from luggage to even cars, initial personalization was the fad of the time. The British division of Gulf Oil offered for sale a set of gold metallic stick-on initials for 25 pence, complete with two Gulf logos so the company could get some extra advertising mileage out of the promotion. Elida JNL was modeled from an image of some wood type for sale online. Although the type design most likely has its roots in the classic Bodoni, there were a few characters in the original wood type that had a bit of a square or block shape to them. Those characters were modified in order to keep with the overall roundness of the other characters. The name Elida JNL comes from a small town in New Mexico. Amberday is a modern display serif typeface to be used more than just as a header font. When I was creating this typeface my first though was to create a light font but strong enough to stand as a header font. Amberday is a perfect typeface to use for logo design, webdesign, header design, typedesign, posters and many more. Amberday family includes eight weight starting with Thin and ending with a Heavy style. Each style includes kerning, ligatures and alternates.

This frivolous 6-font typeface was inspired by playing with my food one evening. I began to wonder what it would be like to draw a typeface with a pipette and liquid... the result is Fluid. A key feature are the contextual alternates that substitute an alternate second glyph when typing double letters, this gives a more natural feel to the resulting text. Inspiration of the typeface Dalloway comes from Virginia Woolf's novel "Mrs. Dalloway". Some calligraphic features are incorporated to add humanity to this typeface. Because Woolf's writing style is very sentimental and personal, which somehow reminds me of the feeling of reading someone's dairy. Some other features of this typeface takes inspiration from flowers and plants, which is another influence from the book. Flower appears in the first sentence of the novel and works as an important symbol throughout the whole story.

Herald Banner is the newest (as at January 2017) of Greater Albion’s ‘Banner’ or ‘Masthead' typeface. It tales the form of letters on a long heraldic banner twined about a central mace. It is offered in two forms- a conventional monochrome typeface and a set of eight interrelated typefaces designated ‘Colour’ 1 through to ‘Colour 8’. TDL Ruha Crown is a decorative, modern and mechanical display typeface and it results from the development of the stencil RUHA. Being the first typeface of the family, sets the basic concepts to be developed further, on each version to come. There is an rigid geometrical connection with the Roman du Roi design approach, since the letterforms are imposed by the constraints of the RUHA ruler. The main typographic proportions are connected with the modern typefaces, like Didot or Bodoni.

This humanistic sans serif design was inspired by a conversation that David Quay had with renowned type designer Hans Meyer, during ATypI in Paris, 1989. Meyer revealed that Sabon, designed by Jan Tschichold, was the inspiration behind his Syntax font. This approach formed the basis for the design development of The Foundry's very first sans serif typeface family; the inspiration for Foundry Sans comes from Stempel Garamond.
