GRUND is a new fontographic adaption of a remarkable 1920s epigraphical find in the city of Leipsic. This old well-known European trade fair hotspot struggled with a severe shortage of exhibition space around 1920. The solution was to dig deeper into the matter – literally – and 1924 the world’s first underground trade fair exhibition hall was opened right under the city’s central market square. After several changes of use during the past decades the sophisticated Art Deco entrance structure (architect: Otto Droge) was re-opened in December 2013 as a gateway to a new subway rail track. – The original brass lettering of the UNTERGRUNDMESSHALLE MARKT has been retrieved – and served as the inspiration for this new and unique font. Huerto Italic has a 565 character glyphset due to additional swash and alternates.

When designing AM Sans One, it was a great challenge for me to develop a modern sans serif, which despite the large number of existing fonts in this sector has its own unique character. Starting point for the design concept was the cap O, designed as a rectangle with rounded corners, and not as usual as a circle or oval. The O should form the basis for the whole alphabet. Another feature are the characters with oblique starting and end strokes such as "A, V, W". These have not exactly straight, diagonal lines, but have a slight curvature. Thus, these letters do not look too geometric. Also the cap K deviates slightly from the usual shape which makes AM Sans One different from other already existing fonts. I could well imagine applying this font for areas such as engineering or architecture.

Once upon a time, Mestre Patau, the «Black» magician, concerned about children´s typefaces historical ugliness, decided to settle the matter and using his vector powers, made letters embellished to be used in that stories so that they were according with the great genius all children have inside. Well done face but happy, goodness is not incompatible with joy. A solid construction, smooth, rounded, vibrant, generous curves and even more generous x-height and general proportions, give to the letter the vitality and freshness needed for use in projects where formality is not a requirement. Naughty but welldone, although not heeding the overshoots or the formal alignments, no symmetry in the horns is, despite this, or because of it, a fresh, cheerful but perfectly legible type. Remember when you first saw the credits of a Woody Allen movie and thought, "I love that typeface!" Well, maybe that was just us. That typeface—Windsor (specifically Windsor Light Condensed)—is a classic. But it has problems. The letterforms are sometimes REALLY wonky. And the ampersand is a tragedy. Plus, there's no italic, and the weights and widths available in digital form are a hodgepodge. That's where Mrs. Keppel comes in. Snatch is a dynamic and expressive type system designed for impassioned and unprejudiced creative directors who look to combine the rough with the sexy. Like a bright star shimmering on a still and quiet summer night, Arched Gothic Condensed is a glowing example of Victorian type. Thin in the middle with clumpy wedges on top and bottom, it truly bears the spirit of a bygone era. Originally known as Concave Extra Condensed, this typeface has shed its waist-high spur notches and gained new figures and lowercase letters. Developed around 1885 by the James Conners & Son Foundry (New York), Arched Gothic Condensed is a marvel of sparkle and glitter in nineteenth century typeface design. Arched Gothic Condensed is also available in the OpenType Std format. Some new characters have been added to this OpenType version. Advanced features currently work in Adobe Creative Suite InDesign, Creative Suite Illustrator, and Quark XPress 7. LFT Etica, the-moralist-typefamily-project, was born at the end of 2000, but its development is ongoing, overcoming many hurdles and diversions. The starting point for the designers at Leftloft were the common "cold" grotesk sans serifs, ubiquitous and often badly applied in their everyday visual environment. The challenge was to obtain the same force, versatility and color, but with a much warmer feel. The resulting design has soft strokes, open counters and terminals; aesthetically resting somewhere between a grotesque and humanist sans serif. It successfully combines masculine force with female delicacy. Barberry is a hand-made brush script typeface equipped with some decorative OTF features, made by Zakhar Yaschin (FontaZY). Barberry font contains stylistic alternates, initial and final alternates (which is duplicated by contextual alternates in the case when ini & fina are not supported), ligatures, titling alternates, small caps and large collection of swashes (additional variants - in Stylistic Set). The Barberry font is essential for hand-made lettering and design. The Barberry family also includes Barberry Vigniette font with over 200 icons and vigniettes in it. Inspired by a biography of Coco Chanel and trying to capture the quintessential mood of classical fashion elegance, Cosimo Lorenzo Pancini designed Coco Gothic looking for the effect that the first geometric sans typefaces (like Futura, Kabel or the italian eponyms like Semplicità) had when printed on paper. The crisp modernist shapes acquired in printing charme and warmth through a slight rounding of the corners that is translated digitally in the design of Coco Gothic. Juan Bruce’s Noort is not a type family for wayfinding or mapmaking alone, but for clarifying information and engaging readers along their own journey. My Dizzy Edge font is really not that dizzy! Actually it's quite steady and legible - super good for packaging, greeting cards and perhaps even commercials for toys, candy, t-shirts, movieposters...yep, that list is long! What's more interesting is that the font as got 6 different versions of each letter - at first glance, the letters don't vary that much, but a closer look reveals the sometimes grungy outline of a pen! But theres more!!! Dizzy Edges comes with multi-language accents!!! What's not to like!!!

Vacui Inspired by the Latin phrase "Horror Vacui", translating to "fear of empty space", the Vacui typeface ironically portrays the meaning from a different perspective. Originally intended to fill an entire surface, this typeface playfully illustrates an alternate reality, embracing space in a new minimal form. The modern aesthetic utilises white space to suggest the shapes and curves of letters that we are familiar with, connecting the dots on a subconscious level while introducing new breathing room to the flow of characters and phrases.

Filler is a display variable font that allows you to flexibly change the width ratio of font characters from extra narrow to extremely wide shapes. The typeface includes complete Latin language support with contrasting drawing of accents and punctuation. Circolino is calligraphic script typeface set that is inspired by the letterforms taught in Italian schools. Each letter combination is designed to tie in perfectly within the word. The Circolino character set consists of two families: Circolino Classic and Circolino Sport. The Classic Family has an almost vertical tilt axis, while Sport Family has a much more pronounced tilt axis that gives it more dynamism and movement.

Epitet, a subtle compact type family with a modern mixture of geometrical and simple shapes, comes in 6 weights, from Thin to Bold. It is a clean elegant sans serif typeface, with a small x-height. Epitet is highly legible in all sizes. Very versatile and easy to use, Epitet can be used in a wide range of corporate and editorial applications. I'm sure Epitet could get even more epitets, but the appropriate use of Epitet would be the biggest one it could get.

Broken is a grunge font with two interchangeable sets of uppercase. Its forms are in the Egyptian style of the early- to mid-nineteenth century, and the totality of its setting gives off the impression of a most unfortunate letterpress situation, with badly cut punches, uncontrolled ink spread, and metal shards and slivers strewn all about. Available in all mainstream font formats, Broken works very well and has a very unique appearance in design concepts where the overall visual can benefit from harshness, erosion, destruction or weathering.

Bluestar is a roundhand script with modern touch. It has round terminals and quite low stroke contrast. It has five weights in upright and italic styles. Bluestar has two sets of capital letters; one is more basic and subtle and the other (Stylistic Set 1) is bigger and fancier. Bluestar has also lots of alternates for ascender, descenders, end swashes etc. to give a good amount of possibilities to play with and make some unique designs. It also has few options for tails and underlines.

Introdusing a creative font set Street Rush. It's a stencil typeface with grunge and clean variations. Grunge version has a rough damaged shape with imitation of a melting paint. Around 1931, the Los Angeles Times (in partnership with the Richfield Oil Company) installed on its building a moving message board similar to the one at the New York Times in New York City which they dubbed an “electric newspaper”. The style of characters used on this electronic sign were the basis for the namesake font Electric Newspaper JNL, which is available in both regular and oblique versions. A blank space to place between words is available on both the solid bar and broken bar keystrokes.

Coche is a different kind of work from Koziupa and Paul. It is a connected script with a strong corporate feeling that aims to fill a gap in modern product branding. Coche means automobile, and one can easily envision a car's logo set with this font. Coche comes loaded with alternates and a complete set of small caps that nicely complement the caps and lowercase. The box cover of “Drawing Stencils No. 3 for Use on Slate or Paper” [a children’s drawing set produced by Montgomery, Ward & Company of Chicago circa the 1890s] had its title in an elegant spurred Roman type face. Working from the few letters available, a complete character set was created that resulted in Antique Packaging JNL, which is available in both regular and oblique versions. To note, this is the 1500th font release from Jeff Levine Fonts since its inception in January of 2006.
