Genesis is a digitization and expansion of a Frank Riley metal typeface called Grayda, originally published to much applause by ATF in 1939. The concept for this disconnected script is quite novel and original among cursives and calligraphic fonts: The minuscules are mostly made with slightly clubbed strokes, which becomes clearly visible in the ascenders and descenders. This alone gives the face a bubbly appearance unlike any other. The formula is completed with two sets of beautiful calligraphic majuscules and a few alternates. The character set of Genesis boasts full support for Western, Central and Eastern European languages, as well as Baltic, Celtic/Welsh, Esperanto, Maltese, Turkish and Vietnamese. Genesis is available for all platforms and in all popular formats. Genesis Pro, the OpenType version, is where the caps and a few other variations alternate stylistically at the push of a button in OT-savvy applications. Genesis Pro also contains class-based kerning.

Sneakers was a typeface that I originally drew all the way back in 2005, with a release in 2006. Its most recent iteration, Sneakers Pro was released in 2009. Since then, the idea of reworking the design has lingered in the back of my head, but I wanted to add additional flexibility and value to anything offered beyond the originals. Sneakers Max does just that and I am happy to see it released and available to everyone. Sneakers Max raises the bar in terms of functionality… incorporating all of the options found in Sneakers Pro (e.g. Small Caps and a biform/unicase located now in Titling Alternates), but it expands the character offering, improves on letter designs (everything was redrawn) and explores more flexible settings by providing 5 distinct counter widths to keep more uniform multi-line settings with mixed letter heights. Latex was initially a single multi-script all-cap font commissioned in 2012 by a company we can't name, to market a billion-dollar superhero movie we also can't name. A year later the commission grew to include a shaded variant and a set of DIY-like fonts, with different layering possibilities for dimensional manipulation. Each of the five Latex fonts come with a character set of over 600 glyphs, supporting the vast majority of Latin languages, as well as Cyrillic and Greek alphabets. Lots of stylistic alternates are also included, including some for Cyrillic and Greek. Superheroes are cool, though their costumes need more pockets, for credibility's sake. Maybe some superheroines should find something more practical than stilettos. Or maybe not. But definitely more pockets.

A Belle Époque humanist serif in two styles: crisp, high-contrast Haut-Monde and soft, low-contrast Demimonde… When you design a lot of display pieces, you’re often in need of tall, slim type. Liaisons provides that, in a distinct fin-de-siècle style inspired by the great posters of the Gilded Age from Sweden, Denmark, France, and Scotland. (The ampersand alone is a bit of a love letter to Charles Rennie Mackintosh!) Both styles use the same slim skeleton, and are named after the stratum of society where one might find… a “dancing partner.” HAUT-MONDE is a high contrast face of the sort that says “High Society.” Elegant and sleek, it speaks to the refinement of the moneyed classes of a bygone era. One of my earliest memories of being able to write - an exciting skill - was of writing with my finger in the fine soft sea sand. I remember the freedom - I had no fear of making mistakes, of smudging ink or of doing anything wrong - and the ease with which I could write or wipe out any thing in the sand. Designing SandWriting was a tribute to those early memories. The font was an attempt to capture the simplicity and ease of a finger effortlessly making its mark in the sand. It can be used in many ways: in menus and invitations, in newsletters and advertisements, and in scrapbooks and brochures. It might be particularly useful for written material aimed at younger people. SandWriting contains all upper and lower case characters, all punctuation and special characters as well as all accented and standard European characters.

Despite the difference in style, both subfamilies get along well, which is partially thanks to their similar proportions. Each of the subfamilies includes 4 weights: Light, Regular, Bold and Black. The main subfamily is TT Nooks—a stylish high-contrast serif with a light touch of self-centeredness. If TT Nooks were a person, it would be an elegant lady with an independent and firm personality. In the original sketches of TT Nooks there were traces of a broad pen, but in the course of further evolution the typeface moved away from this style, retaining only the high contrast of strokes. In addition, in the process of design searches TT Nooks has obtained a touch of geometricity. The serifs in TT Nooks stand out especially visibly thanks to their geometric shape that resembles slippers. Geometrically constructed fonts do not necessarily have to be pointed and angular; It also works consistently around. And if I say it consistently, then in this case, that's done consistently.
