As a font designer for films Henning Brehm delivers fonts with a whip-sharp eye for precision. His latest Vette Letters release, VLNL Agitka is a Cyrillic-inspired (and including) alphabet with both feet rooted in Soviet Union-era propaganda posters. In the MGM musical "Broadway Melody of 1940", a new stage production has its gala opening at the fictitious Lafayette Theater on the Great White Way. The front of the theater is resplendent with classic neon signage, and the theater's name is in an interesting Art Deco design. Musical Number JNL recreates this lettering in digital form.

The Bruce Foundry in New York gave this Italian Clarendon the catchy name of Ornamented No. 1529. The original had a top right white shadow which we eliminated. Additionally we improved the color of several of the characters.

»AlphaOne« is my newest addition to the experimental Alpha-font-collection. I just had to do this one! It is based on Paul Renners fonts, but has got nothing to do with them, I just took the widths and some basic forms. No – or hardly no – optical corrections were made to the glyphs. I wanted the pure geometric forms to come to life. This was a lot of fun to design, I especially like the »Q« with the negative tail. I did make four weights, but nothing is normal with this font, so weight doesn’t really mean anything. Have fun!

At the very least, you'll need this for the Chinese New Year celebration. This was designed in the year of the monkey, and includes all the usual accents for Western European languages. Caps have tassels, lowercase have no tassels.

Zemestro from 2003 was one of the first of the new “squarish sans-serifs”. Its designer David Farey says: “There’s nothing calligraphic about it, and there are no defining or identifiable single characters – it’s just clean and simply constructed.”

A very distinctive style of font, in a kind of art deco style form the '30s. This font is unique in that there are no open, negative spaces in glyphs such as upper and lower case o, or p, or others which would usually have them. Instead the glyphs are solid. The only letters or glyphs which have triangular sides are A and V, X, and Y. This is unusual.

Diamante Robusto Font is my new font, where all the letters came out of this strange shape created without intention of being the inspiration for this new font.

HS Elham is a modern Kufi font with a new idea with round shapes. It is a decorative font with mathematical proportions. It is based on Hasan Elham font with a new idea for connecting letters one another. It also includes new shapes for many letters. It may be considered a new modification version of Hasan Elham. It is useful for titles and graphic projects and supports Arabic, Persian and Urdu.

A bolder condensed version of the Bipolar family of fonts, Bipolar Decorative has a level of ornamental sophistication and balancing that is surprising for its narrow spiny appearance. It's a neo-blackletter typeface that screams for experimental as well as serious use.

Peter started as a sketch in the static sans-serif tradition of Helvetica®. Then slight references to the calligraphic origin of type were added, giving it a more distinct character. To meet the burgeoning demands of commerce, type founders in 1830s London introduced a plethora of new fonts which abandoned the traditional nib-informed model. Most radical were bold, capital-only designs with almost no stroke contrast, stripped bare of serifs. To all intents and purposes these minimal expressions of utility were identical to 20th century functionalism. The powerful Eknaton comes with slanted slabserifs, a new way to add some spring to the old Egyptian slabs. Eknaton echoes the tradition that started with Napoleon's Egyptian campaign 1798, and the simultaneous looting of Egyptian art. The imports led to new ladies fashion in Europe, new architecture and new typefaces like Antique (Figgins, 1815) and Egyptian (Caslon, 1816). The Egyptian faces were also the origin of the famous Clarendon (1845) and Ionic No.5 (1925) as well as the rest of "the legibility types". The Bauhaus movement, otherwise anti-serif, liked the architectural influence in Egyptian slabserifs. The original source of design for Sign Sans JNL was an image online of an old New York drinking establishment called the Lenox Lounge. The metal channels encasing the neon had an unusual "feel" to some of the letters. While the original E,G and U of the sign looked "interesting", they didn't quite fit the font's layout. Those letters were scrapped for more traditional versions of them.

The Artimas family is the new book design font family developed out of Aramus. These new serif typefaces are readable and graceful — part of my development of a series of book families. Aramus was very popular for a single font release of a text font. This new book font family retains the looseness of the original with radically different font metrics and many shape “corrections”. In fact, Artimas continues a genuine new path for this foundry This new font family for book design continues a turn toward more “traditional” x-heights of around a third of the point size.The Artimas print production font family is six new OpenType Pro fonts with Caps, lowercase, small caps, & figures to go with each of those character sets. There are many ligatures, a few swashes, fractions, numerators, denominators, and ordinals to infinity. This family of fonts is a joy to read and easy to use for text or display.

For this purpose, majiscule diacritical letters are resolved within the letter height. However, when this is done, new forms are obtained by integrated diacritical marks with letters instead of directly merging them. The idea behind this approach is to preserve the typographic value of diacritical marks and emphasize the semantic value of diacritical letters. 68 letters have been redesigned in this way. And also Kalender have different meanings in Turkish: large, humble etc. I considered this name appropriate because it described the structure of this font well.

Belgian is a revival of an old type font from the Bruce Type Foundry of New York, Belgian was first designed as a caps-only font in the 1860s with the lowercase added in 1867. New to this classic font are the Black, Open, Inline and Distressed versions. Also new to Belgian is the addition of a Greek character set.
