NO! I don’t have a bearskin rug, nor a fur collar on my jacket. I believe fur should only be worn by its first owner. I have no idea why I called this font Bearskin: maybe I was influenced by one of the Viking novels I am reading - they’re full of Berserkers - but that name was already taken. Anyhoo, Bearskin font is a nice handmade all caps font. A little rough here and there, but with a lot of character as well. Bearskin comes with swashes, so you can have a ball!

Milafleur presents the second member in the series of pictorial fonts with calligraphic miniatures by Lyudmila Mikhailova. The first font of the series, Milanette, was released one month earlier. Milafleur contains more than 60 pictures -- mostly flowers which define the origin of its name. In contrast to Milanette the pictures in Milafleur are less abstract and thus can be used as small illustrations in greeting texts, postcards, intimate notes, diaries and even in Christmas cards because some of the pictures show strobiles instead of flowers and coniferous branches instead of leaves. Released by ParaType in 2011.

German type designers Hannes von Döhren and Livius Dietzel created this sans FontFont in 2010. The family has 16 weights, ranging from Extra Light to Black (including italics) and is ideally suited for advertising and packaging, editorial and publishing, logo, branding and creative industries, small text as well as web and screen design. Rever is an experimental typeface by a young designer Sasha Smirnov. It clearly alludes to 19th century typefaces with reverse contrast, but still the character shapes are as simple and geometric as possible. Rever answers the question “What can a reverse-contrast typeface look like today?” Its set of styles is non-traditional: in addition to a regular one, there are also an oblique (slanted to the left, not to the right!) and a stencil styles. The typeface can work for typographic experiments of any kind -- web, print or motion design. The font was released by Paratype in 2019.

In its characteristics Xtra Sans is a combination of modern grotesks/grotesques and traditional calligraphy. Its upright and compact letterforms generate a sturdy effect as in the early 20th century grotesks Nobel, Kabel or Erbar. On the contrary, dynamic inside forms (counters) give the characters a fluent appearance. As a result, Xtra Sans stands out in large size, while remaining highly legible in small and long text. In 2007 Xtra Sans received a Certificate of Excellence in Type Design from Type Directors Club, New York. In 2002, still unpublished, it was awarded a bronze prize at the Morisawa Awards, Tokyo.

Liberteen is a display typeface combining contemporary sharpness of lettershapes and post-modern irony in details with historical roots. The typeface is based on slab-serif faces of the 19th century including famous Clarendon. Liberteen is not a revival but rather a free interpretation of traditional design. Its lightest and darkest styles work perfectly in extra large sizes and Regular is suitable for a short text setting. Liberteen is a proper typeface for putting together allusions to the 19th century type revolution and a contemporary layout. The typeface was designed by Alexander Lubovenko and released by ParaType in 2015.

German type designer Siegfried Rückel created this sans FontFont in 2011. The family has 10 weights, ranging from Regular to Black (including italics) and is ideally suited for film and tv, logo, branding and creative industries, software and gaming as well as web and screen design. FF Nuvo Mono provides advanced typographical support with features such as ligatures, small capitals, alternate characters, case-sensitive forms, super- and subscript characters, and stylistic alternates. This is Avris, an exceptional and feminine stencil font. The base was designed in 2015. The word ‘avris’ derives from the latin rara avis, which means “rare bird”. Stencil fonts were initially designed for mass production and transportation companies. Unlike this one, Avris’ curvy and minimalistic design feels and looks like the wings of birds, flying above the quiet ocean. It also has a roman, calligraphic and cryptographic touch to it. It can be used for editorial (fashion) magazines and poster designs. Looks great in headlines! Also the numerals are a must see when you put it in use.

Sagor, designed by Cihangir Öziş in 2019, is a modern font that adds a different flavour to your works with its cool look and unique details. Altruiste is a decorative slab serif typeface with distinctive sharp features. It was inspired by the idea of ​​duplicating elements, conveying typeface a unique look. It is austere, sophisticated typography marked by light shapes, yet of a strong nature. This font was originally meant to be my last creation of 2022, but as it turned out, it was the first font of 2023 instead! Why? Well, because it took me a lot of time to complete the 150 different swahes letter combinations, the 182 different letters (not counting numbers, accented characters etc) the small caps, the subscript and the multilingual support! Anyway, it was worth the work - the Frequent font works great as a display font, or whatever you have in mind. Play around with the different versions (Regular, Solid and Inside) for great results.

Snowflake is a new typeface by Jessica Hische, released in September of 2010. Inspired by cut paper snowflakes, this whimsical face is perfect for the holidays! It also resembles Mexican papel picado, so it is as at home in Summer designs as it is in wintery ones. The full typeface includes full alphabet, numbers, punctuation, accent characters as well as over a dozen snowflake ornaments which can be used to create amazing decorative borders or to just sprinkle about! You can also purchase just the snowflake ornaments separately, if it is just the ornaments you are after.

Monospaced but no mono space. Created from 2002 to 2007 this font family is influenced by fonts like OCR-B, DIN and the work of Erik Spiekermann. Newsletter is not a real monospaced font but has the ease of recognition these fonts have - even though these fonts are often criticized for their aesthetic qualities. Newsletter has a computer-related impression but is more legible and aesthetic than real monospaced fonts are. Since 2006 Newsletter is the corporate font of the design agency "die Typonauten". It is eminently suitable for correspondence use. After a testing period and fine tuning it is now published.

Sumply is a multi-layered type family based on geometric forms. A monospace display typeface which comes as a family of four. It is equipped with OpenType features and contextual alternatives to create a versatile and fresh output. Sumply initially was designed to be used in personalization processes in digital printing. By choosing the basic geometric cut (FOUR), patterns and various graphic elements can be created just by importing text variables into the indesign data merge. If combined with the other cuts the possibilities are sheer endless. Sumply was selected to be in the 2016 edition of Typodarium.

Jozef is a serif typeface family with modern character and a firm voice. It is equally suited to setting text on screen and in print. With eight weights, matching italics, and decorative capitals it offers a plentiful typographic range, and provides language support for extended latin. The sharp serifs equip this typeface with a strong tone and clear legibility, while the italics offer a softer but equally solid appearance. Opentype features, number sets and a wide range of typographic characters make this a resourceful text typeface. Jozef was designed by Johannes Neumeier and published through Underscore in 2018.

Tsanger Yunhei was designed and published by Tsanger. Tsanger Yunhei contains 8 styles and family package options. The designer has made unique treatment on the shape and structure of the pen, based on the Chinese calligraphy style and writing, which makes it easier to identify under the same size of the font and group reading effect better. Tsanger Yunhei is more in line with the aesthetic habits of Chinese characters getting the reading an easy task. This font adopts GB 2312—1980 standard, with a total of 6763 Chinese characters, matching Latin letters, Greek letters, Hiragana, Katakana, Russian Cyrillic letters, etc.

TT Tangerine made in 2017 has been a global hit. It's been used by the biggest performing artist in the world, luxury brands, designer packaging and more. Due to its popularity an italic style was added in Feb 2023. From the designer: I wanted to make a retro font with that 70's good vibes feel but i didn't want to just copy letters from that era. Initially inspired by an untitled typeface from an old hand-lettering book, Berber has been extensively developed over two incarnations to function as a very strong and confident sans. The 2011 Berber revisions have enabled Berber to be used across longer settings as well as its more conventional use on larger applications such as signage. Berber was used as the text face for issue 46 of Eye, the graphic design journal. The typeface now features both king caps and small caps. Extensive additions to the numerals sets and complete opentype sets of international diacritics also extend its usage.

Regia Sans is a typeface that was designed in 2008 in Concepción, Chile, and was first released for sale by Latinotype. It is a very thin and condensed font with a modular design, well-suited for short texts, logos, magazines, posters, etc. This new version includes more than 1,300 characters in Opentype format, many ligatures (including diacritical marks and numbers), two groups of alternate characters, and some swash characters. Old Stefan is a display font that simulates the appearance of typewritten text. Each letter in Old Stefan has been carefully designed to resemble the effect you get with a typewriter. This effect adds a sense of nostalgia to the text, as if it were from a bygone era, adding an authentic charm to the designs. Maggot is crazy geometric display typeface. First 36 characters were designed during #36daysoftype 2021. Each letter of the typeface fits into a square composed of 49 modules. Maggot contains 112 letters - Basic Latin, Western, Central and South Eastern European diacritics. Each character that contains a mark has two versions: regular, where the mark is above or below the height of the character and alternate, where character with mark is the same height as characters without marks. Maggot is a display typeface, it works best as short inscriptions, for example on vinyl and book covers, posters, T-shirts, packaging.

Pila, designed by Alex Jacque in 2014, is a modular, sans-serif stencil typeface that comes in regular and condensed formats. Crafted to be a bold, punchy, no-nonsense stencil typeface, Pila owes its unique look — as well as its name — to its adherence to the rigid modular system it is built upon. Pila is meant to be used at larger point sizes where visual impact is desired. Pila has a broad glyph set with the necessary characters to support a wide number of languages. Through the use of OpenType Pila can automatically create fractions as well as create superscript and subscript numerals.

Karol was designed in 2011 as a project in the MA in Advanced Typography from EINA/UAB, in Barcelona. It was born as text typeface inspired by the work of East European type designers. Two years later, Karol is ready for public release, in a collection of eight styles (four weights and matching italics) with high readability, strength and character. A few days before its publication, we received the news that Karol had been awarded the Certificate of Typographic Excellence (Judges’ Choice) of the Type Directors Club.
