This script font was inspired by a lot of autographs, notes and drafts, written by President Abraham Lincoln, mainly the Gettysburg address, first draft and copies, but also the emancipation proclamation. It is an attempt to offer a typical manual script from this American period, not to propose the exact writing from A. Lincoln himself. This font is a little fat and monotone, maybe Abraham Lincoln used a smooth or rounded pen, but some letters I have consulted were written obviously with a sharp one, so, in the future, I will certainly produce a slim version of this font. This set of initial decorated letters is an entirely original creation, drawn inspired by Italian renaissance engraver Vespasiano Amphiareo's paterns published in Venice circa 1568. I was asked by a good friend of mine to design his tattoo lettering. This fellow prefered an easy stencil with no ornament, such as swirls or loops. After some preliminary design I finally accepted the challenge and while completing the whole alphabet, the idea of creating a cool font of it occured to me. Only a few months later this new font family already contained 4 weights, every weight has a companion Italic style, punctuation, numerals and mathematical operators, as well as all accented characters. To start with one personal fact: I really like to listen Rahsaan Roland Kirk. He was a multi-instrumentalist, real grandmaster and unique jazz virtuoso. The way he improvised and walked through variety of different music influences are admiring. One of things he liked is to modify instruments, so he modified soprano saxophone and got an instrument called manzello. When I was looking for good name for this typeface, it came on my mind that Manzello could be the perfect one. It has the symbolic background from the instrument and theoretically in my head, it's imagined as typeface that rely on stable classic examples, but graphically designed and modified to match modern standards. Manzello contains a dose of characteristics of display typefaces with terminals that aren't perfectly rounded, high contrast between stems and good balanced Italics with elements of fine calligraphy. It's a small font family, something what I was always looking for to have as first text solution in my web and graphic projects.

Opificium is a visual contemporary sans serif typeface composed of three weights plus their matching obliques. German type designer Hans Reichel created this sans FontFont between 1995 and 2000. Marjac is an angular and upright script typeface that is directly inspired by handwriting. It is created after "Jacno", a typeface designed in 1948 by French type and graphic designer Marcel Jacno. This unique bold design later inspired other typeface designers to create brush script typefaces like Roger Excoffon’s "Choc". You will also notice it has a "unicase" feel, sharing some lowercase letters in the capital letters. It is recommended to use it for any packaging designs related to quality hand-made products, advertising, web, film title sequence design, posters, magazines and book jackets. Marjac is loaded with an extended character set, supporting Central, Western and Eastern European languages. It has plenty of cool OpenType features like a fun automatic brush underline feature or newly-designed secret alternate letters (like capital A). Kerning and spacing (+ than 25,000 kerning pairs) have been meticulously made-to-measure to this specific brush typeface. Beautiful hand-made arrows and other symbols were created to accompany letters.
