The British Vogue commissioned this typeface for their magazine re-design in 2001. After studying the originals of Morris Fuller Benton and the existing versions, this font was designed with all new thin weights. Just when the family was finished, Vogue informed that they had decided to use American Typewriter instead. Bastards. But here is a true classic typeface with a facelift. The pun intended. Tee Franklin has seven weights with obliques, the Heavy being just slightly heavier than the existing versions from Adobe and ITC, and moving down to totally new Ultra Light, using Luc(as) de Groot's formula to keep the weights optically correct. The glyphs are the same as the Morris Fuller Benton's original from 1902, except for the upper case Q, which was re-designed with a loop in the counter for added differentiation.

Piano Keybuild is a small font designed for creating piano keyboard layouts. It was inspired by my Yamaha CLP-840, a wonderful digital piano. The face consists entirely of keyboard keys that can be combined to form realistic keyboards. These keys come in four styles: basic outlined keys, filler keys (for adding a second color inside the outlines), keys with note names, and pre-made sets of keys. Keys of a given kind will kern with one another, but only in the order that they would naturally occur on a keyboard. (This makes it easier to spot incorrect key sequences.) It also includes digits 0 through 9 inspired by numerals used in traditional music notation. In the beginning of the 800s, during the reign of Carolus Magnus (or “Karolus”, as he signed himself), a great reformation of the written characters was conducted under the authority of Alcuin, Paul Diacre and Theodulfe. The new style, named “Caroline” script, was completely set up between 820 to 830. It was a regular script, with few ligatures, very legible, but only with lowercase. The capitals remained the old Romans ones. We have created the font to serve contemporary users, making a difference between U and V, and also between I and J, which had no relevance for ancient Latin scribes. Sunwind is not really made to write long copy. It is a font for shopsigns and short sentences that need that hot, sunny and windy touch. And that is how I got around to designing it: I saw some letters on a shopsign in Cannes when driving into town. I shouted at my son Julius: "Quick take a picture of that sign, the blue one." That's what he did, only he used the macro setting, so I had a very small sign but lots of nice background. Anyway I got the basic idea! Then I made a lot of sketches and this is what came out. Opinion varies regarding the role of Claude Garamond (ca. 1480–1561) in the development of the Old Face font Garamond. What is accepted is the influence this font had on other typeface developments from the time of its creation to the present. Garamond, or Garamont, is related to the alphabet of Claude Garamond (1480–1561) as well as to the work of Jean Jannon (1580–1635 or 1658), much of which was attributed to Garamond. In comparison to the earlier Italian font forms, Garamond has finer serifs and a generally more elegant image. The Garamond of Jean Jannon was introduced at the Paris World’s Fair in 1900 as Original Garamond, whereafter many font foundries began to cast similar types. Garamond Classico is based on the forms of Jean Jannon, which already displayed characteristics of the Transitional style.

When drawing a new font, there is a time when the final form is found – almost – but the curves are not slick and clean yet, that's what I call the "raw" form. Raw – no sweeteners added! In this family I tried to redefine this moment in type development for the eternally beautiful "Franklin Gothic". I call the design "Franklin Gothic Raw", not to be confounded with "rough". The family can be used like any good normal typeface, you hardly see any difference to a conventionally cut "Franklin Gothic" in small sizes. The charm of the design becomes obvious the bigger it becomes, then it enhances your design with its imperfections in the outline. "Franklin Gothic Raw" is therefore an extremely versatile family. I created the cuts, that I considered necessary for the seasoned designer who knows what he's doing. Enjoy!

Geronimo is a rough poster script done in the spirit of brush calligraphy experiments conducted by American calligrapher and historian, Professor Alexander Nesbitt. This particular approach to brush script uses a pointed brush. Although Nesbitt considered the pointed brush corruptive and not at all suited to present day western letter forms, he put forth that with enough control of the brush (keeping it upright, maintaining stroke evenness, etc) even an unexperienced letterer can easily draw current day letters, though the result will always show characteristics of the letterer's own handwriting. Geronimo is a great choice for entertainment design, like book covers, film poster and packaging, and CD inserts. It also is a great overall display design for anything that seeks to depict adventure or an environment with a rough human element. Many alternates are sprinkled throughout the font.

The source of inspiration for MFC Decatur Monogram is a beautifully styled blackletter from JM. Bergling’s 1914 book on Monograms and Engraving Alphabets. This elegant decorative style was shown only displayed as Capital letters, so we took it further by crafting matching Smallcaps, Numerals, and lined Capitals, Smallcaps, and Numerals. MFC Decatur Monogram can create one, two, or three letter monograms as well as basic headline and titling settings. It is a refined look that is as darling as it is elegant. Decatur Monogram's numeral set and bullet dividers allow for even more detailed and personalized monograms. If you want to create a more customized look, you can add any of a handful of complimentary brackets to surround your monogram setting. Any monograms or typesettings surrounded by brackets, braces, or parenthesis will auto line the middle lettersets. And lastly, due to its traditional smallcaps - Capitals - smallcaps composition, Decatur Monogram can also type unique headings & titles.

This is a simple version of a wildstyle graffiti piece; you can clearly read the font; unlike heavy wildstyle, which not everyone can read clearly, your message is still clear with this font. It's very easy to use, but for a better result, you should adjust the kerning and lead manually because the real graffiti is like that, and use your own graffiti style because there are no rules in graffiti.
