These letters were developed to decorate the font Bowling and then were also used in the fonts Coffeemug and Teapot. For many years the InsideLetters family had only one family member, InsideLetters. An upgrade in early 2019 added two more family members, InsideLettersHalloween and InsideLettersXmas. The first puts the letters from InsideLetters on pumpkins and the second puts them on Christmas tree ornaments. In 2022 and oblique stye was added to the family. Inside letters is caps-only. It is a casual and playful handwritten sans-serif font.

I studied the design for one year before drawing the letters. Rough Riders and the Redux version are simply the most Wildest Western looking fonts you'll find. The Rough Riders fill font is not meant to be used as a stand alone black typeface, the fill font is designed to be layered behind the regular Rough Riders font.

Jughead PB is a classic vintage typestyle reminiscent of Archie Comics, and other retro comics and ads. Designed by Les Usherwood. Chelsea is a ‘modern’ Old Style serif font family designed by Les Usherwood (Typsettra) in the early 1980’s. Steve Jackaman (ITF) digitally engineered the family exclusively for ITF’s Red Rooster Collection in 1993. Usherwood drew influence from Frederic Goudy’s 1911 creation ‘Kennerley Old Style’ when designing Chelsea; Chelsea, however, tends to be wider with a taller x-height. Chelsea has the clean and upscale feel that is present in all Usherwood creations, and its legible design lends itself to projects of any size.

Nurom is a contemporary sans-serif typeface influenced by the early grotesque style which is neutral and legible in purpose with a fresh personality. The goal wasn't about historic revival; it was to make a new Grotesk that could compete in an overcrowded market while offering strength, clarity and function across a vast array of applications. Details include six weights (bold free), a regular italic, and over 400 characters per style. Karl Georg Hoefer’s Sho first appeared in 1992 with Linotype-Hell. The font is a part of the package Calligraphy for Print, which also contains Ruling Script and Wiesbaden Swing. Calligraphy for Print 2 completes the set. These packages offer modern calligraphy fonts particularly well-suited to use in posters, magazines and advertisements. Sho distinguishes itself in the extreme contrast between the strokes. A unique characteristic of the font is the way it uses simple round forms in some of its letters, giving it a peppy and playful feel.

In the early years of the twentieth century a number of romans with a soft and slightly script like quality were evolved. Although they did not represent the future in terms of the major design influences that were to appear after the First World War, they were a break with the past, and were developed further in the nineteen twenties and thirties. Monotype Bernard Condensed is closely associated with this period, a condensed roman evoking an easy charm. The Monotype Bernard Condensed font offers many display applications where warmth and friendliness is required.

Foundry Wilson is a lovingly drawn revival of a 1760 font from Scottish type founder Alexander Wilson, a learned and cultured man who crafted his types with care and skill. Many of Wilson’s fonts were produced exclusively for the Foulis brothers' classics published by Glasgow University Press. This creative relationship produced typography that earned the praise of their peers. A fresh alternative to the contemporary Baskerville, with a taste of the incised letterforms of its time, Foundry Wilson is a robust and lively type design that displays a beautiful colour and texture on the page.

The French publication “La Lettre Dans le Decor et La Publicite Modernes” (“The Letter in the Modern Décor and Advertising”) was a 24-page booklet showcasing the then-current trends of the time (circa late 1930s-early 1940s). On one page was found a squared, extra bold sans serif alphabet set with strong Art Nouveau influences, yet it was ahead of its time by taking on the look and feel of 1980s techno typography. They say “everything old is new again”, and Nouveau Techno JNL is now available digitally in both regular and oblique versions.

Francis is a design previously offered by the Lanston Type Co. in the early 1990s. It is a revival of a 1955 Günther Gerhard Lange design, but with a heavier overall weight. Coming out of retirement, it has been fully reworked and refined with elegant curves and an expanded character set. This font works well at small sizes and larger display sizes for everything from wine labels to personal stationery. This type evokes the elegant sophistcation of the Jazz age and pairs well with a Martini and a fine selection of charcuterie.

POWERPLAY a monospace lowercase alphabet with a 3D twist. Designed by André Toet in 1976 (during his study at Central School of Art & Design, London, UK) and he redesigned this in 2011. The name Powerplay is based on the Battersea Power Station, London. I started this font on a Monday and I finished it the Monday after, so I guess the name is right! Another Monday started off as a bit of doodling (with a Sharpie pen) on a piece of paper. Before I knew it, I had a complete glyph set and it looked nice. Another Monday is a bit messy, uneven and maybe even a little weird, but it will look good on postcards, packaging and labels.

Original Foundry: TypeType Original typeface name: TT Cottons Pinatas Cottons is a friendly hand-drawn typeface with condensed proportions. Each separate style of Pinatas Cottons was drawn by using different instruments. For instance, the black style was painted with a real brush, and the thin one was created with a pen. We tried to keep this analog feeling of hand drawing while we digitalized each style of the typeface. Pinatas Cottons is your ideal design helper.

Original Quality: I often see these words on various objects - from T-shirts to sprinkles and cookies. In fact, I see this term so often that I decided to name a font after it. Original Quality font is an adaptation of an older font of mine called Butterfly Ball. Eckhardt Titling JNL is another treatment of a popular typeface that lends itself well to the hand-lettered sign and display work of days past. A clean sans serif with a slight touch of Art Deco, this font renders well from small point sizes to large posters. As with other fonts in this series, it is named in honor of Jeff Levine’s good friend Albert Eckhardt, Jr. who owned Allied Signs in Miami, Florida from 1959 until his passing.

Chank created Zsazsa Galore as a fresh alternative to Mister Frisky, another jerky, hypercaffeinated interpretation of the traditional roman alphabet. The difference this time is that the new font has no descenders. Every letter comes to rest hard on the baseline. It sits there firmly rooted with branches wiggling around in the air. It was released as the Chank Font of the Month in October 1999 and it was named after Zsa Zsa Gabor because she is beautiful.

Irena is a cubist/expressionist font inspired by Vojtěch Preissig. Preissig (1873-1944) was a Czech typographer, printmaker, illustrator and teacher, whose work was influenced by Japanese Art and Symbolism. During WWII, Preissig supported the Czech resistance and he was arrested in 1940. He died on June 11th in Dachau concentration camp. This font was named after his daughter Irena Bernášková. The Irena font is angular and square(ish), yet easy to read. It comes with extensive language support.

Prushkov is the first typeface that I made. Its name comes from the town I lived in at the time. The design was inspired by both geometric typefaces like Futura, and didone fonts like Bodoni. Its aim (perhaps quite bold) is to blend high contrast with mathematical excellence. Prushkov will work well as a display font, both in uppercase and lowercase. It has a wide array of stylistic alternates for all of the capitals and some lowercase glyphs too.

Kabouter (kaːˈbɑu̯.tər) means ‘gnome’ in Dutch. I have no particular love for gnomes (even though I have a font called Garden Gnome…), but this font had a fairytale feeling to it and the name looked good. Kabouter is a happy display font.
