It was available in a Heavy and a Bold Condensed version, to support short street names as well as longer ones. As the years went by, the typeface was adopted and redrawn by several enamel factories. Linotype Startec, from Jan Tomás, is part of the TakeType Library, chosen from the entries of the Linotype-sponsored International Digital Type Design Contest 1999 for inclusion on the TakeType 3 CD. The “Redzone” name was debuted in October of 2017 as a titlecase font (later refined and renamed “Redzone Classic”), redesigned in November of 2018 with sheared and stenciled styles, and is now presented in the most streamlined version yet with the same charming fearlessness still present.
