Magnel is designed for headlines, posters and big sizes. Alphaluxe is a distinctive new typeface from Wesley Poole of Hawai’i. This vertical script packs a velvet punch. It compels attention like the best of the futuristic Moderne scripts from the 1930s, (refined by the 1950s) with none of the bulk. The shapes are strong, their rendering light. Fortunately, Mr. Poole can't break his addiction to elegance and sophistication. It's a classy alphabet. but not self-conscious or stereotypical. Contributing mightily to this effort is Rod Cavazos (Psy/Ops, San Francisco). Among today's typefaces, Alphaluxe is a rare achievement.

Kon Tiki Aloha is a font that celebrates the design style of mid 20th Century Hawaiian kitsch. This font was inspired by the ad poster of a popular 1960s Hawaiian themed attraction, and contains 120 alternate interlocking ligatures to give it a Polynesian feel. The ligatures can be found under the Discretionary Ligatures OT feature or added from the glyph palette. Jukebox fonts are available in OpenType .otf format and all fonts contain basic OpenType features as well as support for Latin-based and most Eastern European languages.

Hand-drawn by an architectural renderer's daughter, Plinth is an craftsman-inspired font that leaves a strong and lasting impression. Both capital and lowercase letters have been designed for impacting display, but are also easily read in large blocks of text. Plinth includes multi-language support as well as a variety of OpenType features including decorative alternate caps, double-letter ligatures, complete fractions, currency figures, and 4 stylistic sets. Set One replaces commonly used titles (Mr., Mrs., Miss, Ms., and Dr.) with complementary hand-drawn versions. Günter Gerhard Lange designed this “fun” typeface for Berthold in 1957. Although a departure from his more serious designs, Champion shows Mr. Lange’s diversity.

Hermann Zehnpfundt’s Enge Journal Antiqua, released by the Emil Gursch Foundry, Berlin, in 1910, revived and redesigned. Copenhagen has been in need of a typeface that unites the city’s many visual expressions. The three designers Morten Rostgaard Olsen, Henrik Birkvig and Ole Søndergaard have designed and developed the typeface FP København. Now available from MyFonts in 44 styles: Serif & sans serif, uprights & italics, small caps, pictos-characters, stencils, sprayed style, OT-features, ligatures, contextual alternates etc. The shapes of the letters are inspired by the city’s culture and the visual environment and design in Denmark in the 20th century. It is relatively low and wide as the city itself and with rounded corners that give it a warm visual mood.

In the years 1937 and 1938 Paul Renner drew these both styles of the Ballade font family. Now freshly redesigned and extented for contemporary use, both styles have reappeared. A blackletter font by William Caslon (1692-1766), with Dutch influences, which appeared for the first time in a font sample book of William Caslon & Son, London, 1763. Inspired by a former Hermann Zapf design, Hanse Textura was completely redrawn and redesigned as an English-style blackletter font with a calligraphic touch. Not your average monospaced typeface, Base Mono flourishes with several handsome OT features mostly found exclusively in text fonts. Despite the geometric and techno feel of the initial roman version, the cursive version is heavily influenced by traditional Finnish weaving and folk art! The contradiction is taken further by inclusion of such classical features as small capitals and lower case figures, usually found in slightly more traditional fonts. Base Mono family suits many editorial, corporate identity and logotype tasks. It can even be used for setting text such as captions and headlines.

Briller is a super-wide display sans that covers 6 weights, from delicate Thin on one side to chunky Ultra on the other end. Stinky School Book was created to letter the adventures of a particular Mr. Stinky the Elf, but you can use it for that informal look when used for body copy or as a display face for headlines.

This rather modern versions of a Gothic style blackletter were originally drawn by Georg Trump in 1936 and 1937 respectively. To access all ligatures, I recommend to activate both OT features, standard and discretionary ligatures.

Mymoon Stencil is an extension of the Mymoon font family. It comes in 3 weights: UltraLight, Regular and Heavy. Contains extended Latin character set with OT features such as OldStyle and Tabelar numerals and fractions.

In digitizing this old font, we took great liberties with the design, removing some jarring elements. The result reads much more smoothly than the original, retaining the overall character of the original. Hope you don't mind, Mr. Beeler.

Vintage sheet music for a song from the 1941 animated feature "Mr. Bug Goes to Town" featured a casual, hand-lettered inline type style on its cover page. Recreated as the digital font Go to Town JNL, this design is presented in all the imperfect glory of pen and ink lettering. Go to Town JNL is available in the regular inline version as well as a solid version. A bit about the cartoon: The project was created by the legendary Fleischer Studios in Miami, Florida (they had relocated from New York City), after they could not obtain the rights to adapt Maurice Maeterlinck's "The Life of the Bee". Beset by the expenses of relocating to Florida, growing production costs on the full-length feature cartoon and other problems; mid-way through the making of "Mr. Bug Goes to Town" the Fleischer brothers were forced to sell their studio to their distributor (Paramount Pictures) in order to continue in operation. It was released on Dec. 5, 1941 - just two days before the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. The release [and subsequent re-release by Paramount as "Hoppity Goes to Town"] was a disappointing failure, earning [as late as 1946] only $241,000 of the initial cost of $713,511 it took to make the film.

This font has a great retro-yet-modern feel that is slightly reminiscent of the dawning of the digital awareness age of the 1980s that gave a slight nod to the mid-20th century neon craze.
