Eina was designed as a corporate typeface for the design school “EINA, University Centre of Design and Art.” It’s not just a font to be used — Eina embodies an educational concept that transcends simple typographical use. A Roman typeface with emphasized triangular serifs. A font like this one could have been designed in 18th century France. To some extent, Auxerre is a precursor of “Etienne,” which later became popular as an advertising typeface of the 19th century. Auxerre is available in five font weights: light, regular, semibold, bold and black. Auxerre supports Western and Central European languages including Scandinavian languages. Nimbus Sans ME is the expansion within the Nimbus Sans family for the Middle East range: Arabic (incl. Farsi) and Hebrew. Volker Schnebel has designed both scripts, which each include five upright and five cursive styles. The design is contemporary and fits the Latin Nimbus Sans. One of the first messy typewriter fonts to hit the market, Chandler 42 was compiled with forensic care from the voluminous output of a circa 1942 portable. Designed by Arthur Baker in 1994 for URW, Kigali is a wide-bodied display type with bold, uneven, pen-drawn strokes that taper dramatically downward. This unusual theme creates a unique, recognizable look. Furthering the effect, the Kigali typeface family contains additional decorative design fonts, one with a zigzag pattern filling the spacious strokes, and another with the letters in black squares for use as ornamental initials. The regular and italic versions include two alternate faces: one with long, tall ascenders and regular-length descenders, and one with shortened ascenders and descenders that allow it to fit where its companion might not. Twentieth Century was designed and drawn by Sol Hess in the Lanston Monotype drawing office between 1936 and 1947. The first weights were added to the Monotype typeface library in 1959. Twentieth Century is based on geometric shapes which originated in Germany in the early 1920's and became an integral part of the Bauhaus movement of that time. Form and function became the key words, unnecessary decoration was scorned. This clean cut, sans serif with geometric shapes was most appropriate. The lighter weights of the Twentieth Century font family can be used for text setting; the Twentieth Century bold and condensed fonts are suitable for display in headlines and advertising. The three fonts in the Prescott series are re-creations of 19th century favorites with an Old West flavor. The town of Prescott was the capital of Arizona Territory from 1864 until 1912, when Arizona was admitted to the Union, and the capital moved to Phoenix. In 1986 Page Studio Graphics started its digital foundry in Arizona. The fonts are thoroughly pair-kerned, including all accented characters. Alternate Gothic was designed by Morris Fuller Benton for American Typefounders Company in 1903. All three weights of Alternate Gothic are bold and narrow. In fact, this face is essentially a condensed version of Benton’s other well-known sans serif types, Franklin Gothic and News Gothic. In the early twentieth century, the modern concept of type “families” had not yet been formed — and though Benton designed these sans serifs to harmonize with each other, the foundry gave them different names. ITC Hornpype is the work of California freelance designer Mott Jordan, a cheerful display face inspired in part by the cartoons of the 1920s and 30s. According to Jordan, the typeface's name and three-dimensional quality can be traced to an early cartoon in which a cat blows on a horn with such force that the instrument bulges out. For the three-dimensional look, Jordan added highlights to the thicker strokes to create letters that look as though they were, in his words, squeezed from a toothpaste tube". Meet Think, a varied-width sans serif font with fun options. At first glance, Think appears to be your standard all-caps mono weight sans. Mr Dodo is a hand drawn typeface family with eight styles. Four weights with a rounded version for each one. It has uppercase and lowercase characters with up to three alternate glyphs. Each style was drawn separately. We did not interpolate any glyphs to keep an irregular, organic feeling. This way you can combine different styles without worrying that same characters will look like a awkward copy when standing close to each other. It has build in OpenType Contextual Alternates feature that will automatically set alternate glyphs depending on frequency of appearance of the same character (even in web font but only in HTML5 browsers). The script doesn’t just throw random glyphs.

When people usually think of wood type, images of bold and ornate designs reminiscent of the Old West or the Victorian Era come to mind. In truth, wood type was manufactured well into the late 20th century, and only fell out of favor when the letterpress was replaced by the offset press and computerized typesetting. Although there are hard-core collectors who have started a small resurgence in the preservation and use of wood type, it's the digital interpretations of these classic faces that see the most use in today's electronic layout work. Deco Wood Type JNL reinterprets one of these later designs, a bold sans with a decidedly Art Deco influence.

Arial was designed for Monotype in 1982 by Robin Nicholas and Patricia Saunders. A contemporary sans serif design, Arial contains more humanist characteristics than many of its predecessors and as such is more in tune with the mood of the last decades of the twentieth century. The overall treatment of curves is softer and fuller than in most industrial style sans serif faces. Terminal strokes are cut on the diagonal which helps to give the face a less mechanical appearance. Arial is an extremely versatile family of typefaces which can be used with equal success for text setting in reports, presentations, magazines etc, and for display use in newspapers, advertising and promotions.

Even though the phrase Art Nouveau originated in Paris at the shop of Siegfried Bing, the French preferred to call it Le style moderne. This very sinuous, very Art Nouveau typeface was designed by an E. Mulier around 1894, probably also in Paris. The organic, vine-like curve forms are frequently seen in the art of the period. Examples include the architecture of Victor Horta, the furniture of Henry van de Velde and the jewelry of Max Gradl. Mulier Moderne is an all-cap font with a full Western European character set plus ST and TH ligatures, an alternate ‘E’ and two glyphs of period printer’s cuts. Warning: do not use for extended text. Do you suffer from OCD? Then this font is perfect for you. Or maybe not. Sometimes I like confusion, chaos, imperfect things, because I can often see beauty in them. In this font I drew the letters with a pen and or with just the index finger on a tablet, completely free, without improvement. The chaos ensuing. As if I was rushing notes just for me. Then, without changing the design any further, but to make the chaos minimally legible, I decided - look at this madness! - to organize the chaos.
