Egon Sans is a geometric sans serif typeface family built in ten styles (extra-light, light, regular, bold and black weights all in roman and italic). Goudy Sans Bold was originally designed by Fredric Goudy in 1922 as a less formal "gothic" and finished in 1929. The light was designed in 1930 and the Light Italic in 1931. In 2006, designer Colin Kahn drew "LTC Goudy Sans Regular" which is a medium weight version intended for text purposes. Dorset marks Léon Hugues first script typeface and first release with the Positype Flourish label. Built crosscurrent to a strict revival or calligraphic digitization, Dorset’s aim was to understand how a font could interact with various calligraphic influences in a single execution and how that interpretation by Léon would lead to new, exclusive design choices. The design purposely chose to connect various gestures from Spencerian handwriting and copperplate calligraphy and meld that with his initial experiments with fine, flat nibs. Somewhat extravagant and yet quite useful? Yes, absolutely. Meet Salted family: two awesome styles and a way cool picture font. Deliberately free-spirited, Salted – the Regular, yet regular is not quite an appropriate adjective for it – brings alternates and also discretionary ligatures that completely transform the font mood, adding unexpected touches of cursive script here and there and thus creating sort of a wild feel. To be independent or to be dependent? The formula “one plus one is one” is here essential for this to work. The different cases, upper and lower is dependent on one another. To give us clarity they have to work together, to be like one the upper and lower cases must work together. Expedition One works best in InDesign or equivalent software. How to use it: write your text in lower case, copy the text frame and ”Paste in Place”, change your lower case text to upper case (you do that under top menu->type->change case). Change colour if you want to and maybe change the blending mode in the effects window to “multiply” makes it even more sparkling. On numbers and ampersand for example, you have to use the glyph window in InDesign to find their second half.
