TOCinRings has letters in circles. The letters are from a typewriter font called TiredOfCourier. The typeface contains characters that can add color to letters. There are two ways to do this. One uses layers and the other a combination of characters, some with zero width. This pdf file explains the how this can be done.

Zodor JNL is modeled from the packaging for injection-molded plastic letters used as a teaching toy for youngsters in the early 1960s. The hand-drawn alphabet on the sides of the package was quirky enough to merit being made into a digital font.

Instant Protest is a font I made with a broken satay skewer and Chinese ink. Yes, like so many of my fonts, but these particular tools are my favourites! ITC Farmhaus is the work of British designer Tim Donaldson and is, in his own words, Neil Young meets Paul Renner." Donaldson borrowed the perfect circles and clean lines of Renner's drawings for Futura and gave them jagged edges and uneven, thick strokes. A sheet music edition of an early 1900s song entitled "You Taught Me How to Love You, Now Teach Me to Forget" was hand lettered in a free-form Art Nouveau style that combined varying line widths and character shapes. This unrestricted style of lettering was popularly embraced and revived by the hippie counterculture of the mid-1960s through the mid-1970s through their rock concert posters, record album covers and tee shirt graphics.
