The distinctive features of TT Tricks are the relatively low contrast of strokes, the slightly squarish shapes of round characters and the emphasized businesslike nature. The original idea of TT Tricks is based on the graduation project of student Sofia Yasenkova, who chose to create a daily planner font as her final project. This led to many stylistic decisions, for example, the large and asymmetrical serifs, low contrast strokes, and the presence of interesting details. In the process of working on TT Tricks, we have significantly revised the initial idea and expanded the areas of possible font application, while maintaining the original spirit of the project. Despite the large number of display details, the typeface looks great in a small point size, and also when it is used in large text arrays. TT Tricks features an original stylistic set which, when turned on, adds features of typical pointed-pen serifs to some of the lowercase characters. In addition, TT Tricks has small capitals for Latin and Cyrillic alphabets, as well as several interesting ligatures. The TT Tricks font family consists of two font subfamilies, these are the main version and the version with the original stencil cutting. Regular Joe was first delivered to the font world by Ron and Joe. Yes, the same Ron and Joe of the ArtParts fame. A few years of being so regular, Regular Joe became, well, just bored. Regular Joe needed company. He wished for a family. After all, most of his font friends had big families. His wishes were granted by FontHaus. So Skinny and Husky were created to be with Regular and all together, they became Family Joe. All is well.

Elbow Grease was made with, yes, you’ve guessed it: Elbow Grease! It started off as a grungy font, but it didn’t look right, so I reworked all the glyphs. Then I forgot to save the font, so I had to start all over again. Naming a font was never this easy! Morgenfrisk is one of those words you cannot really translate: it is Danish for ‘feeling refreshed after a good night’s sleep’. Morgenfrisk font is a handmade, thin school class font - very legible, very neat and very nice too. I found the original letters in a Speedball™ Text Book. There were only so many of them, so I designed the missing ones myself. I adjusted some of the original letters to a more contemporary look. Comes with a frisk amount of diacritics!

Narziss is a very popular display typeface. People really love the thin hairlines and the swirls. But the basic idea is so strong that I decided to create a text version. The swirls of the display do not work in small sizes but the alternative drops do. So for each weight of Narziss Text, there is a Regular, an Italic and a Drops version. Narziss Text is ideal for fashion magazines, Jewelry or perfumes and may be used in conjunction with Narziss.

While searching through microfilm of an old, 1932 newspaper, I stumbled on the word "Poultry" written with trapezoidal letters. I did not recall seeing lettering like this and it inspired me to design a typeface that could produce a similar result. Poultry Sign has two widths each with three weights giving the family six styles. It is monoline, monospaced, and all caps. The letters on the lower-case keys reverse the trapezoid of those on the upper-case keys. The designer's expectation is that the most common use for this typeface will alternate upper-case and lower-case keys, and to make this effect easy, included in the font is a contextual alternatives (calt) OpenType feature that automatically produces this result if your word processor supports this feature. To get text with all letters with big bottoms or all letters with with big tops, this feature must be turned off. The spacing of the letters is identical within each width so the styles can be layered to produce bi-colored or tri-colored letters. There is a second set of numbers that can be accessed with an OpenType stylistic alternative. Also accessible with OpenType stylistic alternatives are variations of letters T, N, L, Y, and V.

Chef Lorenz about the TpKurier recipe: “TpKurier is the second redesign we did of Courier. The first redesign in 2000, although based on a five-unit grid, was drawn completely by hand. Six years later we designed another grid version of Courier, and the TpKurier family was born. This version is completely constructed up till its last detail. We didn't want to correct ‘mistakes’ deriving from the use of the grid, but instead make them visible (see “S”). TpKurier is based on a very simple grid, composed a proportion of four units high by two units wide. A series of other links between them make it possible to form a font from this grid. We felt it was important to consistently work within these limitations so that any unexpected asperities would help provide the font with its character. Even though it is a rough constructed typeface it was important to us to design real italic lower case letters and not just a sloped roman (see “a”, “g” or “s”). The first family published contained a serif and sans-serif version of the TpKurier, with italic and bold.”

Details include six weights with italics, 460 characters, five variations of numerals, manually edited kerning and Opentype features.

Tenby is a series of modular geometric display sans serif fonts with a hint of Art Deco combined with a 1980s finish. The fonts' underlying grid is ten squares high. Their widths correspond to condensed (Tenby Four), normal (Tenby Five) semi-extended (Tenby Six), extended (Tenby Seven), and extra-extended (Tenby Eight). Each contains two weights, light and regular. Although smaller text sizes are still quite legible, the fonts work better at large sizes.

An unnamed scroll typeface featured in the 1869 MacKellar Smiths and Jordan specimen book provided the pattern for this font. You may begin and end the scrolls with parentheses, braces or brackets, and employ the space bar as you normally would to construct headlines "in a pretty box". Both versions of this font contain the complete Unicode 1252 (Latin) and Unicode 1250 (Central European) character sets, with localization for Romanian and Moldovan.

This family of fonts starts from a very thin single-line face to a strong heavyweight, called Black Face. They are presented in six wights with their corresponding italics.

ArgentaBobbed is an informal, "hand-printing" font with little balls that some people, often children, like to add to the ends of strokes. Maybe it could be called a ball-serif or dot-serif font. The family has six members. Each of the two weights, plain and bold, have oblique styles. There are also two variants: ArgentaBobbed-Wig is squiggly handwriting with the dots, and ArgentaBobbed-Squish is condensed handwriting with dots.

Nauplia is an organic script font, specially designed for use in logotypes, advertising and packaging. It is interesting to note the use of free-flowing lettering to perform its own eye-catching, connected and unconnected. Nauplia contain 450 glyphs with full OpenType features: swashes, ligatures, stylistics alternates and much more. Nauplia is a Greek city, its name according to Strabo, derives from the mythological character Nauplio, the son of Poseidon and Amimone.

Scottish typefounders exerted a strong influence on the development of "transitional" typefaces, the bridge from "oldstyle" (Jenson, Garamond) to "modern" (Bodoni, Didot) designs. Scotch Roman designs were first cut by Englishman Richard Austin and cast by the Scottish typefounder Alexander Wilson and Son in Glasgow. Scotch Roman font has wide proportions, short descenders, bracketed serifs, and large, strong capitals. Its subtle charm makes it suitable for any text setting, particularly books and magazines.

I made this font during the rather hectic start of 2021. Popular Vote is an easygoing, laid-back kinda font. It fits just about anywhere, regardless of your political orientation, your sense of aesthetics or the job you will use it for. Popular Vote will feel at home on a box of crackers, on the cover of a book about keto diets, or on that T-shirt you have always wanted to design. Enjoy!

Shoebox font is crafty and sweet. It’s hand-drawn with double letter ligatures for upper and lower case. It works great in all-caps, and the lower case is a funky mix up with some interlocking ligatures too. Shoebox is rough with an occasional curl, and is paired with Shoebox Shapes; a unique picture font of Amy Dietrich illustrations (featuring boxes, bags, cats, stars, familiar household items, and for some reason, a forgetful octopus).

The source for these hand-drawn initials was an early 20th Century French alphabet book whose pages were displayed online at an image sharing site. This style typifies the Art Nouveau period, and makes a wonderful paragraph starter or "drop cap" for your printed projects. Some users may still want to compose headlines with this font, but be aware there are no punctuation marks, accents or kerning - just the twenty-six initials.
