Roman Ionic is a unique revival of a typeface that was once popular and used in many late 19th century and early 20th century music publishing houses, such as Durand et fils. It displays a happy marriage between the beautiful features of the Clarendon type and the legibility of the Scotch roman class and is thus aimed to work for titling and body text.

A heavy-set but lively font, Kendrick’s dense strokes were hand-painted using a thick wet brush. This all-caps set of letters is bold but brushy, textured and expressive; fun but very much meaning business. Kendrick is streetwise and no-nonsense, but with a big cheesy grin to boot.

For some time, Eric de Berranger had wanted to create a distressed typeface design - one that gave the appearance of antique printing and showed signs of wear, yet was still highly readable. Madani is a geometric sans serif consisting of 9 weights ranging from Thin to Black and matching Oblique. With a touch of character choice, adding tails to some glyphs on the stylistic set 1 and pointing joined at some of the tapered characters in the stylistic set 2, suitable for display and body text font.

The American Type Founders 1923 Specimen Book and Catalogue called the inspiration for this typeface Engravers Text; it could easily be called elegant, enchanting and erudite, as well. The inline version of this font includes the complete 1252 Latin and 1250 Central European character sets; the Solid version includes the Turkish 1254 set in addition.

Lettering on a package of Gibson guitar strings from the 1950s provided the inspiration for this font-on-the-go. If you want to set headlines on a bias, you can rotate the text 20° for best effect. Both versions of the font contain the complete Unicode Latin 1252 and Central European 1250 character sets.

Nothing is more iconic of Paris than its antique Metro signs, which are the inspiration for this typeface. The signs vary from station to station, some featuring plain block capitals, others the most exquisite Art Nouveau. This example falls somewhere in between. and should inject a strong gallic flavour into any design or publishing project. To recreate the Metro effect in Photoshop, set your text white on red, then go to Layer Style> Inner Shadow. Or with Paris Metro Reverse set your text red on white, then go to Layer Style> Drop Shadow.

A book in the library of University of Wisconsin caught David Berlow’s attention. It was set in a clear text face - a predecessor of Bookman, cast by the Western Type Foundry who called it Custer. Upon noting how well the typeface worked in 6 and 7 points, he developed it into a member of the Reading Edge series specifically designed for small text on screen. Custer RE was a broad and approachable typeface drawn large on the body with a tall x-height to maximize its size when set very small.

Madley is a contemporary slab serif typeface. Featuring monolinear stems, elongated block serifs and teardrop terminals, the type family goes from a delicate Hairline weight to a heavy Black weight. Because of its range in weights and extensive Opentype features, it’s a perfect font for both text and display text settings. Alternative features include a wide array of swashes assigned up to 11 for select characters, combining ligatures in capital unicase settings, and stylistic alternates for some letters. Aelita is a low contrast serif typeface in 6 styles. It's distinguished by lowercase character alternates that noticeably change the text pattern. The main character set is quite strict and is characterized by sharp and clear terminals and stiff junctions between stems and bowls. Alternates are more facile and calligraphic. Neutral design of the main character set makes the typeface suitable for scientific and literary texts. Alternates are ideally suited for science fiction, fantasy and art books. The typeface was designed by Natalia Vasilyeva and released by ParaType in 2014.

Kfontz is a display font that simulates the appearance of typewritten text. Each letter in Kfontz has been carefully designed to resemble the effect you get with a typewriter. This effect adds a sense of nostalgia to the text, as if it were from a bygone era, adding an authentic charm to the designs. Kfontz retains its varied and extravagant style, giving the text a lightness and a certain nonchalance. Remastered in 2023.

Simppeli is a simple-lined but rough font. As written text it gives an impression of drawn lines on cross-ruled paper. You can fill the entire text area: the space key gives an "empty" grid. You may have to change the settings of some text applications in order to eliminate the marginals and/ or the line spacing. Combining glyphs provides you with endless assortment of patterns for ornamental decoration, prints etc.

Linotype Banjoman was designed by Paul Veres. Most of its basic forms are constructed although some characters, like the a, g, or p, are more freely designed. This font is available in a variety of weights and styles. The bold weights are best for headlines or emphasis in text and the balanced Text styles were designed specifically for running text. Linotype Banjoman is an independent yet well-mannered font suitable for a variety of purposes.

Hello! Let me introduce Cohen – a handwritten font named in memory of the great poet and singer Leonard Cohen. On the day he passed away I did my routine calligraphy practice and wrote a part of his song 'Night Comes On'. You may see this work in presentation pictures, and after time I designed a font based on this calligraphy. Cohen signature font is perfect for logos, branding, web, blog headlines, invitations, magazine and book design, product packaging – or for any text on postcards and on your favorite photos. Cohen includes: a standard set of characters with wide multilingual support: Western-, Central- and Eastern-European, Baltic, Turkish, Latin-type Africans, and Asian (94 languages in total) two additional character sets: lowercase letters with alternates shapes and lowercase letters with a little end-swash - for the position at the end of a word 39 ligatures for double letters and frequent combinations Cohen has a large number of embedded context-dependent auto-replacement features that give the text a natural, handwritten look and correct inharmonious combinations of letters. These features work well in many apps (even simple ones like Notepad/TextEdit), and if you need to customize their application – you could use programs that support OpenType features (for example, Adobe apps or CorelDraw). This combination of two different types of communication reflects the current need for using text and images as means of conveying information in a complementary way. The family comes with a text version of 7 weights (with matching italics)—Thin, Light, Regular, Medium, SemiBold, Bold and Black, and includes 7 thematic icons sets which allude to elements related to alimentation, city, energy, people, politics, sports and work. Trafalgar Stencil JNL gets its inspiration from a set of lettering stencils manufactured by Reese and Sons in Great Britain during the 1950s as does its counterpart, British Stencil JNL.

“Blackduck” font is a typical Gothic, usually named “Blackletter” . This typeface was born with the name of “Textur” and developed from Carolingian cursive. It was used in the middle age as sacred script, became increasingly narrower, his vertical lines were emphasized and his strokes very compacted to save space. Along the time the early German print typefaces derived in others styles that were more readable such as Schwabacher and Fraktur, very popular in Germany and sometimes associated to the identity of the country. The font "Blackduck" was inspired mixing carefully the last two “Blackletters”. We try to joine some characteristics of both to reach good legibility without loosing the strong impact and powerfulness of the shapes. Some minuscules like the “o” “c” “e” “d” are rounded on both sides, while both strokes join in an angle at the top and at the bottom. Some other lower cases are formed by an angular and rounded stroke. This font contains a full set of OpenType features; swashes, stylistics alternates, old style figures (Arabic numeral were carefully shape integrated), ligatures and some extras ornaments were added to help in your design. "Blackduck" includes diacritic signs for Central European languages.

FF Cocon’s designer, Evert Bloemsma (1958—2005) described it as a “serious typeface”. Despite first impressions, the description holds up well. Since its 2001 release, FF Cocon has been used in an astoundingly wide variety of design applications. At large sizes, FF Cocon works as a display face, with beautiful detailing. And at small sizes, it remains surprisingly readable. The lowercase letters a, b, d, g, h, m, n, p, q, r and u, were drawn without spurs, as Bloemsma made an attempt to erase every trace of handwriting; even “normal,” neutral sans serif typefaces still retain elements in their letterforms like this. Bloemsma wanted none of it. Although a difficult starting point for a typeface, this proved successful. Bloemsma’s design is a family of rounded yet rather asymmetrical forms with details reminiscent of brush-strokes, but that were not made with a brush in hand. In spite of its claim to seriousness, FF Cocon is a family of seductive, voluptuous styles. The original FF Cocon had two widths—normal and condensed. Later, a more compact Extra Condensed version was introduced, as well as italics.
