W Foundry worked alongside Julia Martinez Diana (Antipixel) to create a balanced and consistent texture throughout the whole family. All the typeface’s textures have been meticulously outlined to give a natural look mantaining the soft and round edges, making Fuse Vol 2 Printed more easy-going and spontaneous. It is perfect for large display usage due to the professional shapes of its outlines, which were hand-crafted glyph by glyph. Each character has its own printed style, which is not repeated in the accented characters, nor in other weights of this family. The typeface is designed with powerful OpenType features. Back when shop window decoration was done with a brush, every window designer had his own style. In this vein the sans serif Altrincham was created. But even as a text font, it has stood the test of time, since it is very easy to read even in smaller point sizes, thanks to its relatively large x-height. Frederic Goudy designed National Old Style Roman in 1916. It is loosely based on a logo he lettered for the National Biscuit Company in 1901. Steve Matteson expanded on Goudy’s original by designing a bold, semibold and matching italics. While much of Goudy’s work is strongly influenced by Venetian types of the 15th and 16th centuries - this design has a truly American quality about it. Neva Regular with Italic was created by Moscow book and type designer Pavel Kuzanyan (1901-1992) at Polygrafmash in 1970 for slugcasting and display composition.
