Mirabelle from Magpie Paper Works is a family of four hand-lettered fonts designed to coordinate with each other or stand alone as display faces. Each font was created with a felt-tipped pen & ink, and includes a full set of capital and lowercase letters, as well as multi-lingual support, currency figures, numerals, and punctuation.

Abelia is a rough(ish), cursive, handwritten font. It was made with an almost dried up felt tip pen, so as to create some roughness in the edges. It comes with a generous amount of diacritics. For those who are just dying to know: Abelia is a honeysuckle-like flowering shrub, native to Eastern Asia and Mexico.

I designed this font because it didn't exist - it’s based on hand rendered type created for black and white line marker scamps used in the advertising industry. I use it that way and it’s saved me a LOT of hand-rendering time over the years. Of course, Scamps works as an informal marker script in its own right too. I’ll be interested to see what you do with it.

Inspired from tagging graffiti marker in the streets and my real experiences in graffiti scenes, Urban Tags comes with iconic rounded tip marker, this style often used by several graffiti artist around the world because the style is very unique, very fun to write in markers. Perfect if you want realistic Street art style or hip hop for your designs, poster, props etc. Because this is real graffiti fonts, "urban Tags" is different like other fonts, the space letter is shorter, for perfect result the Kerning you can adjust manually, because it's impossible to setting kerning like other regular fonts. I put extra glyphs for make the fonts looks more street art, use "åß∂ƒ©˙∆˚¬Ω≈ç" you can see in the preview.

The digital outline fonts, DIN 1451 Fette Engschrift and Fette Mittelschrift were created by URW in 1984 and are the basis for all DIN font families. Both typefaces were designed for the URW SIGNUS system and were mainly used for the production of traffic signs. They have since become so popular that we have developed a complete Arabic DIN family together with Boutros Fonts. The Arabic characters have been designed to harmonize with our Latin URW DIN and come in 24 individual styles, which consist of 8 weights from Thin to Black and three different widths: Regular, Semi Condensed, and Condensed.

This humanistic sans serif distinguishes itself by its Japanese calligraphy influence. Being written with a felt tip rather than with a brush, its Japanese connotation is remote and non-dominant, thus providing excellent readability and a charm of its own. Parametra is a very elegant and modern typeface achieved by the strong form reduction of the individual characters and at the same time harmonizing them by given parameters. It is something of its own, but quite legible and well-suited for small text. Also, Parametra and Bohemian can be mixed perfectly since their proportions and dimensions are the same.

Marginal Notes SRF is from the creative pen of Ray Larabie whose Typodermic foundry graces MyFonts.com. Designed to emulate the look of handwritten words using a felt tip pen, this font can be perfectly applied to any project where notations, subtext, memos or other forms of personalization with a human touch is required. This is the tallest, skinniest, most condensed, non serif font I know of. I designed this because I felt a serious need for that one big, thin word to fit in a narrow space. It is great for ‘SALE!’ in a one column ad. Also is a life saver for several long words in a narrow space like Merry Christmas... If you need a full character set take a look at the new Ultra Condensed 3 font family. Ultra Condensed was based on Tall Skinny Condensed with some changes and a full character set. Ultra Condensed Lettered is a hand lettered version and Ultra Condensed Line is a lighter hand drawn version

German type designer Jörg Hemker created this sans FontFont in 2002. The family has 16 weights, ranging from Extra Light to Black (including italics) and is ideally suited for advertising and packaging, editorial and publishing, logo, branding and creative industries as well as sports. FF Zwo provides advanced typographical support with features such as ligatures, small capitals, alternate characters, case-sensitive forms, fractions, and super- and subscript characters. It comes with a complete range of figure set options – oldstyle and lining figures, each in tabular and proportional widths. This FontFont is a member of the FF Zwo super family, which also includes FF Zwo Correspondence.

Markout is a chunky marker pen font. With a casual style and loose baseline, it's a great display font for titles, headings and logos. The Markout family has regular and alt versions, where some of the characters are different. Most notable is the 'k' in the Alt version this has a more normal size and shape when compared to the regular. Also includes five marker pen emoji ligatures and double letter ligatures.

Whomp takes its inspiration from the work of an American master in sign painting and alphabet manipulation: Alf Becker . In 1932, Becker began designing a series of alphabets to be published in Signs of the Times magazine at the rate of one alphabet per month. Nine years later, 100 of those alphabets were compiled in one book that became an enormous success among sign painters. In the late 1990s and early 2000s, many Alf Becker alphabets were digitized with blurbs that falsely credit an “Alf Becker typeface”. Alf Becker was not really a typeface kind of guy. He was more of a calligrapher and sign painter. His alphabets were either incomplete or full of variations on different letters, and didn't become typefaces until the digital era. This particular Becker alphabet was quite incomplete. In fact, it wasn't a showing of an alphabet, but words on a poster. Alejandro Paul took the challenge of drawing, digitizing, restructuring, and finally building a complete usable typeface from that partial alphabet. He then extended his pleasure by once again playing with the wonderful possibilities of OpenType. Whomp comes with more than 100 alternates, tons of swashy endings and ligatures, all built into the font and accessible through OpenType palettes in programs that support such features. This is the in-your-face kind of font that stands among other Becker-based alphabets as paying most homage to the vision of this great American artist who saw letters as live ever-changing beings. At the apex of the 1960s-70s Hippie movement, San Franscisco's Haight-Ashbury district was the epicenter of the Love Generation, and the Fillmore (East and West) were the city's musical venues. Inspired by a 1970 concert poster, the Art Nouveau influence was strongly felt in the hand lettering from that poster, which is the basis for Flower Children JNL.

Linotype Feltpen is part of the Take Type Library, chosen from the contestants of Linotype’s International Digital Type Design Contests of 1994 and 1997. This fun font was designed by the Swedish artist Lutz Baar with clear, light forms. The spontaneous, even letters seem to have been written with the felt pen from which the font takes its name. Linotype Feltpen is available in two weights, regular and medium, both suitable for short and middle length texts and medium for headlines as well.

This is a simple and legible tag style font as written with a bullet tip marker. HumanRase includes characters for all uppercase and lowercase keys as well as numbers, punctuation and dozens of other symbols (many more characters than most other tag style fonts). This font works well at large sizes but is also very legible when used for body copy.

Celsius was handwritten with a scratchy nylon marker creating a rougher than normal effect - almost like trying to write in the cold with a pen that doesn't cooperate very well. Dedicated to all snowboarders everywhere!

Gayle Sato, longtime friend of MVB Fonts, has amazing handwriting. It’s a natural, simple hand, with perfect rhythm. Devoid of flourishes, it doesn’t try to be beautiful. It’s just genuine, quick, and clean — the handwriting we all wish we had. The digitization by Mark van Bronkhorst captures these qualities. Retaining the roughness of a felt pen, MVB Calliope is a handwriting typeface that feels much more authentic than most, highly legible but still raw. The Regular was released in 2005, with the other weights shortly thereafter.

An old book found at a Paris bouquiniste contained samples of the typeface “Caractère de finance,” a bâtarde design by 18th century typefounder Pierre Simon Fournier. Rather than revive the type, Kanna Aoki decided to reinvent it, using a felt pen to achieve a rustic, handwritten quality, departing from the 18th century model as she saw fit. MVB Chanson d'Amour conveys a soulful elegance that stops short of the ostentatious, overwrought found in many formal scripts. It is lovely and sweet, but never saccharine.

Pantoufle is French for slipper. Not the flipflop variety (or thongs if you’re from Australia), but the one you wear indoors when it’s cold. I have some too; Spanish ones, made from recycled PET bottles. Here in Holland, we call them ‘Pantoffels’ and you don’t have to be a language expert to see the resemblance between the French and the Dutch word. That is because the French are probably more savvy when it comes to keeping your feet warm and the Dutch just borrowed the word, pronunciation and all! Pantoufle is a font I made with a big fat marker pen. My kids had used it to decorate some gifts for Sinterklaas (if you want to know what Sinterklaas is, look it up). Pantoufle comes with extensive language support and a full set of alternates for the lower case glyphs. Enjoy!
