I originally wanted to call this font Instant Pudding. When I was a kid, we sometimes had instant pudding (the ‘add cold milk and rest in the fridge’ kind) for dessert. My brother and I loved the stuff, especially when some of the pudding powder had not dissolved and had turned into brightly coloured speckles! But this font, alas, did not ‘feel’ like instant pudding, so I hunted the internet for other, more obscure, puddings. I found Spoonbread. Apparently it is a pudding-like Southern American dish, made from cornmeal. I have never tasted it, nor do I particularly like corn (most of it is GMO anyway), but the font and the name became friends. And who am I to tear this beautiful relationship asunder? Spoonbread - use it for your packaging, your books, your posters and your games. And when you make Spoonbread, use organic cornmeal!

This font has 2 styles in one keyboard layout! There is a solid style, and an outline style. The capital letters match the small-case. The capitals are all solid letters, while the small-case are the same, but an outline version. Same with your numbers, there is 2 styles (Outlined hollow numbers, or press shift and a number to get it's matching solid version). Common punctuation marks, brackets, etc., are included too, in both styles (There's even a hexagonal euro and dollar sign). To make these characters easier to find, repeats are spread throughout your alternate keys. The two styles can be used together, nicely complimenting each other. Trade Gothic inline is a quirky display companion for Trade Gothic Next, offering five different voices, and a whole lot of personality. The lighter weights are graceful and elegant, embracing negative space to give the sense that the letters are halfway to disappearing. Designer Lynne Yun has incised the darker weights with a super thin inline that emphasises the heaviness of the letters, and creates a reassuring chunkiness. “If I kept the inlines the same, it created a lot of visual noise,” explains Yun. “I wanted each weight to be different enough, so in the end the weight and width of the letters was increasing and decreasing in size, and the inlines were too. The black is almost like an extra black, because the inline is smaller. It's about trying to have different voices for each weight.” Trade Gothic Inline is available in five weights, from light to black.

This family was created inspired from two French (one so common and a very rare large one) "toy print" boxes, named Le petit imprimeur, with rubber stamp characters from the 1920's. The big difference from our 1920 My Toy print is that this font is complete, with upper and lower cases, accented, complete punctuation and some symbols. The doubly of each usual character in each style (A-Z/a-z and numerals) allow to give a rich and variously uneven appearance, looking like the results of the real use of those old rubber stamps, with bad kernings and alignement. The font is containing West (including Celtic), Central, East European, Turkish and Cyrillic characters. The bold style may be used as a reinforcement, mixed with normal style without disadvantage, allowing finally four choices for each usual letter... The original size is 6mm (about 17 pts).

Armature Neue Sans is an extension of the original Armature Neue family released in 2010. Like Armature Neue, Armature Neue Sans consists of six weights with accompanying italics. Armature is one result of my interest in typefaces that are constructed, rather than drawn. Although it is basically a monoline design, there are subtle details throughout that compensate for a monoline’s evenness. As with all fontBoy fonts, there are dingbats hidden away in the dark recesses of the keyboard. When I first started designing this face in 1992, I called it Dino - I thought I would name all my fonts after famous pets, so the dingbats for Armature are dinosaurs. To access the alternate characters (closed counter B and R, and others) use Stylistic Set 1 or the glyphs palette in your OpenType-enabled application. Designed by Bob Aufuldish with editing and production by Psy/Ops.

The inspiration source for MFC Whitworth Monogram is an alphabet set from a vintage embroidery alphabets book, Alphabets Broderies No. 238 by N. Alexandre & Cie. What began as 26 referenced capital letters has been expanded to three sets of alphabets within a single typeface. True to the original reference, the Capitals are the stylized cursive capital letters in all their gorgeousness. The lowercase encapsulates the capital letters intertwined within rectangular frame. By enabling Stylistic Alternates and typing any lowercase letter, you get each letter encapsulated and intertwined within an oval frame. A handful of decorative forms are placed in the 0-6 numeral slots. Originally intended to adorn handkerchiefs and other linens, this digital revival opens it up to a whole new realm of possibilities. This is one of many monogram designs from the late 1800's to early 1900’s that is loaded with panache and intricate detailing.

Wolverhampton is a new Neo-Victorian face from Greater Albion Typefounders. It's something of an example of starting with a small idea and running with it. This family of three typefaces (Regular, Small Capitals and Capitals) was inspired by a line of lettering seen on a late 19th Century enamel advertisement made by Chromo of Wolverhampton (hence the family name). The family grew, topsy-like, from a recreation of these initial fifteen capital letterforms to the three complete typefaces offered here. The three typefaces are ideal for advertising and poster work with a Victorian, Edwardian, or 'Steam-punk' theme. They would also be eminently suitable for signage inspired by the same eras or (as we've seen a number of our other typeface families prove very popular) for book covers of period related novels and historical works. In many aspects, built in a traditional way. Still, some modern details have been implemented which classic designs sometimes lack. Delicato is no exception and looking closely, similarities can be found in the lowercase of Jeremy Tankard’s Enigma and the stems of Petr van Blokland’s Proforma. The goal is to respect these sources and turn the the typeface into something new with a unique and personal touch. Gothic Round was first introduced as wood type by the George Nesbitt Co. in 1838. The font is a softened variation of a standard heavy Gothic typeface. The style evokes a much more recent history of the 1960s and 70s and can be seen in such places as donut shops and on children's toys as well as inspiration for such fonts as VAG Rounded. Gothic Round has not previously been available as a digital font until now. The font was digitized by Miguel Sousa from a wide variety of historical sources, including visits to the Cary Collection at RIT (Rochester, NY), WNY Book Arts Center (Buffalo, NY) and the Hamilton Wood Type Museum (Two Rivers, WI).
