Risoluto is an italic font made to mimic the beautiful italic typefaces used in the 19th and 20th century by music publishers. Indenture English Penman is based on research into original English and American indenture contracts from the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, mostly with roundhand scripts, paragraph versals in Old English script and many, many flourishes. This font has a little of everything, with hundreds of glyphs: dozens of versals to each alphabet letter, some versals in Old English style, plus flourishes to use at beginnings of paragraphs or chapters, and many additional flourishes to create perfect ancient documents. To better use the resources of this font we suggest using the Glyphs resource in Illustrator and other software.

I was inspired by old posters and commercials for old 8-bit computers from the late 70-ies and 80-ies. Despite the lack of powers (compared to computers and phones today) they seemed to be able to both rule the world and ease your everyday jobs. Well, the thought of all that, combined with my love for grafitti and comic text, inspired me to do this font!

In the spirit of the old days, before water sparkled and before typefaces were known as fonts, Chank is proud to introduce Chippewa Falls the font. This font comes with fancy swirly uppercase letters and stout small caps for lowercase, as well as a heart-warming story. Chank rescued this former custom font from an abandoned design proposal. He gave it some TLC and before long a retro typeface emerged, with lettering worthy of good old fashioned sleigh rides and candy canes. Bufon is a font that holds many ligatures (815); a characteristic that intervenes in the rhythm of words. For this aim, a study of the combination of signs in the text was made. The interest was to detect the most frequent duets and trios of letters. Three languages were studied; English, French and Spanish.

A condensed, light face spurred serif alphabet was shown on an antique catalog page from Spon & Chamberlain Publishers as “French”. The catalog likely sold tools and dies to stonecutters for making inscriptions in marble, granite and so forth. This elegant design is available digitally as Nouveau Thin JNL in both regular and oblique versions.

Shaken, Not Stirred. A famous line from just about every James Bond movie (yes, we're talking Martini-time). The font is also quite shaken (and not stirred). It looks like someone scrawled something onto paper, or etched the letters in metal. Shaken, Not Stirred comes with a set of diacritics befitting a Secret Agent.

An image found online of the first [1923] “Oreo Sandwich” package provided a type inspiration from the pen-lettered block sans with rounded corners used for the product's name. Prior to 1923, the cookies were sold in boxes or tins. The result is Packaged Cookies JNL, which is available in both regular and oblique versions.

Westin Black is a great alternative to Cooper Black. Heavily influenced by clarendon typefaces, Westin Black also has a slight humanistic touch. It comes with open type features like old style figures, tabular figures and some ligatures.

Browsing through images of old wood type for sale, a Western type design with some interesting character variations made the perfect subject for a digital revival. Western Territory JNL is available in both regular and oblique versions.
