Futuramano was the kind of typeface we scribbled in those old days, when I was an art-director in advertising agencies. We used it to simulate the headlines and the subheads, so the client could read what the copywriters had in mind. As Futura was the font of choice in those days (as it still is), our scribbled typeface looked much like Futura. Then I looked it up on Wikipedia and what do you know, it is of latin descent. »Ars Gratia Artis« which means »art for arts sake« or in French »l’art pour l’art«, a perfect font name. If I would cut off the »s« as well it would mean disambiguation and that in turn is, what I just did here. Enough disambiguation! »Artis« is a modern classical beauty with extreme contrast between up- and downstrokes that make it unique with a touch of art deco and showing Renaissance roots. But – »Artis« is a twin-font that has an elegantly decorated twin sister »Artis-Swing«. Between the 2 fonts you have endless possibilities for combination. I love these twins! Techarí comes from a commission in which the brief consisted of the creation of a typeface family to be used for the design of the third disc of the band called Ojos de Brujo based in Barcelona. This disc was called Techarí, which means “free” in Caló, the language of the Spanish gypsies. The starting point of the design was the music of this band, the meaning of the disc 's name, and three words given by the band as key concepts: ethnic, baroque and graffiti. Techarí is a mixture of lots of influences, which give it its unique personality. From its technical viewpoint designing Techarí was a challenge, on the one hand it had to have lots of personality, and on the other it had to work in text at 9 or 10 pt size. Its goal is precisely that, while keeping a strong personality it works in text size. The typeface also contains a Stencil version for use in display sizes which keeps Techarí's innovative spirit. The way it has been “cut" is unconventional, it has been carefully done to keep the freshness of the typeface by taking advantage of the letterforms' flow. Techarí extra complements the typeface by taking a classical typographic form, the ornament, and making it a contemporary graphic tool, vindicating this wonderful typographic element.

The idea of Transport originates from text found on the large wooden boxes used for transport. Such text is still stencilled on them in the same way as the companies have done for decades, at least. That explains the typeface's name, too. If you find some similarities with Devin, you are right. Transport is nothing other than a special variant of Devin. But since the two are aimed for totally different uses, I decided to use two different names for them. Transport is a mecane and its use is primarily as a headline typeface. But in small quantities it can be used even for body setting, if special effects are desired. Transport was released in 1994.

The variation in the font affects the change in the height of the mean line - by moving the axis adjustment slider you can easily raise or lower the mean line of the font. In TT Frantz, you can find small references to the art deco aesthetics, which are expressed in significantly lowered or, conversely, heightened waist of the letters. The name Dash Wisher is a wordplay. The letters of the font are also quite playful - you never know what comes next, when typing. There is no exact x-heigh, the baseline is jumpy, the descender and ascender are messed up...there are no real rules for Dash Wisher! But with all that in mind, it comes out surprisingly legible, which means it does have a wide range of use. Let your fantasy and imagination break the boundaries and Dash Wisher do the rest - or maybe the other way around! :) I've added both ligatures to substitute double letters and a set of alternate letters as well.

BMX Radical is inspired by the titles of the cult 1980s BMX movie "Rad". The characters R, A and D were designed after this, with the rest of the character set being completely made up. The font is uppercase only, but with two different alphabets. In OpenType-capable applications, engaging contextual alternates will make the alphabets automatically switch between each other, meaning double letter combinations always contain two different glyphs to give the text a much more handmade feel.
