Creating Halla was a bit unusual for me since I started out creating the italic version first and that inspired the name Halla, meaning to tilt in Icelandic. It is also a fairly common female name in Iceland. “Halla” is derived from old Norse word “hallr” = 'flat stone, rock' or 'sloping, leaning to one side' Halla is a true italic inspired by handwriting and mechanical type. The combination of Light and Italic makes Halla ideal for advertising, branding, signage, packaging and editorial design.

Kontras has high contrast at vertical and horizontal emphasis. When analyzing characters as a whole, it has contrast at style and practice too. Although has not much alternative characters, it provides decorative and grift effects because of this characteristic. Kontras is ideal for brand building, packet designs, decorative titles and so on. However it contains standard ligatures, contextual alternates (R, a, &), discretionary ligatures and case-sensitive forms. “Kontras” has been derived from “kontrast” which means contrast and opposition in Turkish.

Bohemio was designed in memory of Gunter Böhmer, an artist famous for his many book covers of the 1950s in Germany. The cover I took as an inspiration for this font is that of a book called Stiller (by Max Frisch). Bohemio sounds similar to "Böhmer" (which means the one from Bohemia) and it is also an alliteration to artisty. I have a lot of options to choose from, and it's hard to decide. For example, if I use "Thin" for the body text, I might make the title slightly larger and use "ExLight," and for the headings, I could use "Regular" or something similar. I could also stick to one font weight, like "Light," and differentiate the text using various sizes. This font is designed for enjoying the process of "indecisiveness," so please feel free to wander and deliberate extensively.

Inspiration of the typeface Dalloway comes from Virginia Woolf's novel "Mrs. Dalloway". Some calligraphic features are incorporated to add humanity to this typeface. Because Woolf's writing style is very sentimental and personal, which somehow reminds me of the feeling of reading someone's dairy. Some other features of this typeface takes inspiration from flowers and plants, which is another influence from the book. Flower appears in the first sentence of the novel and works as an important symbol throughout the whole story.

Ishtar was the Babylonian goddess of war, fertility, love and sex - all in all a lethal combination. She wasn't the sweetheart her lovers had hoped for; I guess the 'war' part in her resume is a dead give-away. Ishtar font is no sweetheart either: it doesn't have a real baseline and its spooky character might not be everyone's cup of tea. It does have a certain charm, however, and befitting a Babylonian goddess, it comes with Babylonian language support!

This is definitely a font suitable for kids toys. The letters are legible, and at the same time totally wacky! Kinda like what a kids toy should be! Fidusmager started out as a handdrawn, slightly rugged looking fon. However I ended up manually tracing each letter in order to have those smooth lines. By the way, Fidusmager is danish and actually means someone who’ll trick you - but as a kid I didn’t know that, and found that it most likely was something positive! :)

Lysergic is a smoky, swirly, super-psychedelic font that exudes 1960s vibes. This font is a tribute to the work of San Francisco artist Rick Griffin, famous for his psychedelic posters, creative lettering ideas, and especially his Grateful Dead album cover art. Song style typefaces originated in the age of woodblock printing in Song Dynasty. Being an essential Chinese type style for printing and publishing all since Ming Dynasty. Based on the Kaishu calligraphic script, its structure has evolved, regularised and standardised with thick stems (豎), thin horizontal strokes (橫) and triangular finials. Dots (點), hooks (勾) and downstrokes retained some features of calligraphy, hence an appropriate choice for continuous reading. The typeface is equipped with a variety of stroke weights, all highly legible .

Some years ago I designed Chalfont as a sans face. All the characters have a top heavy look when viewed straight on, however, as most type is read at an angle with the top further away than the bottom, this top heavy look is diminished. Chalfont Roman, although re-drawn with some alterations, is still basically the same face but with a top left serif giving more emphasis to the top heavy characteristics. I have also added a set of non ranging numerals.

The Tecn@ Dark&Light Triangle Background Nomenclature Font family is differentiated by the direction of the triangle tip in the 4 cardinal points. Franz Fiebiger (1880 - 1932) was an Austrian painter and designer who was associated with the Vienna Secession. In 1908 he created a beautiful poster for the Kaiserjubiläums Möbel Ausstellung - a furniture exhibition during the Kaiser's Jubilee. Fiebiger Zwei (meaning Fiebiger Two) is the second font based on one of the hand made typefaces gracing this poster. As I had to work with only a few glyphs, I designed the missing ones myself. This typeface was drawn to create short headlines (quickly) for one of my projects (a set of illustrations featuring The Evil Rat, imagined character). Each character (here I mean "glyph") has it's own personality, mostly evil one (jokingly) — that is why the font is called "The Monsters". The font was drawn on paper, then scanned and traced. It has both Latin and Cyrillic sets, since it was used with both. Monsters are good for short notes of comic or ironic style.

Kundalini means 'coiled'. In yoga it is used to describe an energy or force which lies at the base of the spine and, when awakened, results in deep meditation or even enlightenment.
