Modesto is a loose-knit family based on a signpainters lettering style popular in the late-19th and early-20th centuries. It evolved from the lettering I used for the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus Logo. The Modesto family was not planned. It just happened, a few fonts at a time over about fifteen years. In 2014 four new Italic fonts were added. There is a downloadable MODESTO USER MANUAL PDF in the Gallery section for this family.

Prof. G. Pott’s Ruling Script first appeared in 1992 with Linotype-Hell. The font is a part of the package Calligraphie for Print, which also contains Sho and Wiesbaden Swing. Calligraphie for Print 2 completes the set. These packages offer modern calligraphy fonts particularly well-suited to use in posters, magazines and advertisements. Ruling Script looks like the zestful handwriting of a calligrapher but its legibility even in longer sentences set it apart from others of its type.

There, Moritz Kleinsorge decided to create a revival of Robert Granjon's "Ascendonica Romain", described as "a beautiful face; typical of Granjon's mature style" in the inventory list of available material. "To touch punches and matrices cut by Robert Granjon back in 1567 was an invaluable inspiration", Moritz explains. Over time, the typeface moved away from being a true revival. Rather, it evolved into a Granjon-inspired typeface. That typeface is now available as Allrounder Antiqua. Iturritxu (a small spring or fountain in the Basque language) is the basic style, one letterform per character, using highly readable glyphs suited to text applications. It includes Latin characters for Western European, Central European and Baltic Languages, plus Romanian and Turkish. Iturritxu 2020 is the feature-rich style for OpenType friendly applications. Designed to work especially well with the concave consonants and nesting vowels (KO, RO, TXO, ZO etc.) common in Basque (Euskara), the font also has many ligatures and contextual features for other languages such as English and Welsh. Much of the inspiration for the contextual forms comes from the compound consonants and vowel signs of North Indian scripts. Small capitals, old-style numerals (with optional swashes), sub and superscript numerals are all present. Created by Swedish designer Bo Berndal in 1999, Linotype Dala Text can best be described as a softer, friendlier blackletter. Blackletter refers to typefaces that evolve out of Northern Europe's medieval manuscript tradition. Often called gothic, or Old English, these letters are identified by the traces of the wide-nibbed pen stroke within their forms. Linotype Dala Text most resembles the fraktur type of blackletter. Fraktur types were popular text faces in Northern Europe until the 20th century. Inspired by Swedish folklore, this fraktur is much softer and rounder than most examples. Its connection to the Scandinavian folkloric tradition makes Linotype Dala perfectly suited for such texts as fairy tales, medieval stories, and other things that might appeal to a child's sense of adventure. To strengthen the medieval fairy tale look, use Linotype Dala Text together with other elements of the Linotype Dala family: Library's Linotype Dala Pict and Linotype Dala Border. The characters in these two supplementary fonts were inspired by medieval and renaissance folk art, and were also drawn by Bo Berndal, making them a perfect match. All three styles of the Linotype Dala Family are part of the Take Type 4 collection from Linotype GmbH."

Linotype Zurpreis is a family of two typefaces created by the Swedish designer Bo Berndal in 1999. The letterforms in these faces are made up almost entirely of curves, giving them a slightly handmade, inky, or psychedelic appearance. The round characters dance and bounce along their baseline, lending a fun and uneven quality to text set with the fonts. Linotype Zurpreis is best used in sizes above 12 points, either for short passages of text, or headlines.

Mellnik is a sans serif of humanist style (in a way) that was developed by Oleg Karpinsky for ParaType in 2006. The type family contains nine styles with a number of alternate characters in each ones. For use as a text font in long text passages of advertising booklets, catalogues or magazines, as well as for accident setting. Mellnik may be also applied as a corporate typeface. Five condensed styles were added in 2007 by the same designer.
