Back in 2011, Gelato Script was the best-selling brush script font on MyFonts, and has remained popular, appearing on everything from designer handbags to primetime TV shows; from food blogs to wedding invitations; from glossy magazines to (not so imaginatively!) ice cream shops. All these years on, and it struck me that there is much that could be improved on; there are certain glyphs that never quite felt right. So I decided to update Gelato Script, and this is the result, Gelato Luxe. What started as a simple update quickly spiralled into a total overhaul. There is not a single glyph in the new version that’s the same. The entire font has been tweaked and tinkered with and redrawn and respaced and rekerned to get it to this point. While I wanted to maintain the feel of Gelato Script, Gelato Luxe represents a massive leap in sophistication, with new alternates for smoother connections, and a totally new OpenType engine, with no fewer than seventeen stylistic sets. Sabor is a voluptuous upright connected display font with mixed taste of script fonts. There were many inspirations for Sabor, but all started with a book from the 1950s about the battles of World War II. To that first sketches of a naive dense display typeface we, day by day, start to create a mixed style evolving some lettering concepts from 1950s, some calligraphy notions and the first display ideas. The feeling of this font is good to be used in many artworks, like logos, packaging, party invitations, layouts for t-shirts, magazine headings, and much more, since websites to and all kind of printed jobs. That font is not really a script, but, like the scripts we strongly recommends to use the caps only in the beginning of words and sentences, to contrast with the lower cases : it’s not designed for all-caps settings, so avoid that kind of use. This font has almost 700 glyphs and supports the most important Latin-based languages. We works hard in a tour-de-force kerning: over 12.000 kerning pairs soft adjusted handily. Its OpenType features include final forms, initial forms, special sets (upper and lowercase's), hundreds of contextual alternates ligatures providing letter-form variations and connections that make your designs really special, and ornaments (tails). Because of its high number of alternate letters and combination's, we suggest the use of the glyph palette to find ideal solutions to specific designs. Madisonian has been found in a catalogue of the New York Bruce type-foundry, dated 1859. The lower cases have the feeling of a Bodoni Italic and the initials have a "spencerian" touch. This font did exist originaly in a single weight. The family has been extended with a bold and an engraved version.

This yeomanlike typeface features the letterforms of the venerable Underwood Victoria typewriter on steroids. The original monospacing has been generally preserved, but the letters have been carefully kerned to add to the visual impact. This font contains the complete Latin language character set (Unicode 1252) plus support for Central European (Unicode 1250) languages as well.

Hasta Luego means ‘see you later’ in Spanish. It is something you say when parting, but it doesn’t really mean you’ll have to see each other again. Hasta Luego is a happy, all caps font. It’s a bit random, a bit wobbly and it comes with some interesting discretionary ligatures for you to play with.

Hiragino Serif (Mincho) is a font adapted for the digital age. It was designed to permit finely detailed tuning that allows the sizes of both kanji and kana to be adjusted for greatest visibility. It also broadly satisfies the needs of modern graphic design in advertising, posters, pamphlets, magazines, and other such uses. The font makes the counters comfortably wide while gracefully raising the text's center of balance, ensuring that the typeset characters will be smooth and well-defined. It gives each line a modern impression thanks to a judicious balance of light and shade and draws out a vivid readability that makes it possible to comfortable push forward with one’s reading. Latin alphabet and numbers have all been originally designed so that the weights of typeface and the flow of the baseline between Japanese and Latin characters are extremely consistent. Of particular note, vertically formatted text that mixes both Japanese and Latin characters can be beautifully rendered using only this typeface. Thanks to the use of authentic and sophisticated basic design , it creates a different atmosphere by combination of optional unique kana typefaces.

Meaning of Tinkuy. Tinkuy is a Quechua word that means a meeting of opposing forces that complement each other. A meeting of opposites and differences. A meeting point where different thoughts, interests, feelings and aspirations confront and converge, providing the resurgence of new ways of thinking and that are embodied in confrontational actions, in mobilizations that seek change. Tinkuy patterns is born from the analysis of different archaeological pieces of native cultures of the Andes, where the visual signs that are recorded on them are related to the concept of encounter. It is part of the research project Crónicas Visuales del Abya Yala by designer Vanessa A. Zúñiga Tinizaray. — The Tinkuy Patterns. The Tinkuy Patterns system is divided into six files containing a total of more than 2650 modules that can be combined together creating an infinite range of possibilities. The digitization of the typeface family has been carried out by Ale Paul, through the Sudtipos foundry. An infinite number of possible combinations can be accessed by using the letters on the keyboard. Although a certain shape predominates in each set, they can be combined with each other.​​​​​​​

The letters of Trapezoidal are like sheep: they do not like being alone but want to be part of a flock. Many of the individual letters of Trapezoidal look strange and unshapely in isolation because they are designed to fit into a pattern with other letters. That pattern is formed by alternating asymmetric trapezoids, with trapezoids that are wide at the top alternating with trapezoids that are wide at the bottom. The magic of the OpenType feature of contextual alternatives (calt) automatically alternates them. The fonts in the family are largely monospaced and have very tight letter spacing. (If for some reason one wants to use only one set of the letters, the letters will overlap unless one widens character spacing.) (If D and O are too similar, use the alternative versions of D.) The family has five weights and each weight has an italics formed by flipping the trapezoidal pattern over a vertical line. Like other alternating-character typeface families from IngrimayneType, this distinctive and visually-arresting family can be used for titles or advertising. Aeris™ typeface is a contemporary book face created by the American designer Tom Grace. It combines the proportions and rhythm of a sans serif font with the high contrasts and flexed strokes of script faces, while the open counters also ensure optimal legibility. Tom Grace focuses on providing subtle differentiations in his cuts and, as a consequence, this font family has its own individual structure: there are A and B variants of the basic forms regular, italic, bold and bold italic, and a display version for use in titles that also comes in A and B variants. It is advisable to use the A variant for larger font sizes, while the slightly more emphasized B variant can be recommended for smaller font sizes. Where the basic forms are to be mixed together in a work, it is important to use the corresponding A/B variants throughout as their designs have been carefully coordinated. Aeris is available in the OpenType Pro format and thus includes a wide range of different glyphs. The font family can be used in various environments, such as books, magazines, advertisements and promotional materials, but it is also the perfect choice for printed corporate documentation.

Introducing Promenade – a calligraphic serif that started on paper with a flat nib pen (see the 6th image), and blossomed into a full serif with italics. At its core, this font is just... beautiful. It's elegant, it's crisp, it's delicate, but can still hold its own. As I was creating the graphics, I just couldn't get over the flow of the letters – especially the italic. It's got class, but also isn't afraid to rock a pair of Doc Marten's. Funny enough, Jen from Tonic (they make beautiful websites) saw a preview of this font and said, "I'd take that font to prom." Which of course spurred a conversation about how this font would take a Mercedes G-Series instead of a limo, and wear Doc Marten's instead of heels, but still wear the most gorgeous dress, and that is 100% Promenade (and inspo for the name – thanks, Jen!). I've also been loving combining the regular and italic, especially for logos (see the "Friendfolk" logo) One thing to note about Promenade is the letter spacing. It was spaced for clean reading and intentional balance, so I recommend setting the spacing a little tighter if you want to create the display look found in many of the logo mockups(around -20 to -40 should do!).
