Lionheart is the digitization and expansion of Saladin, a neo-gothic typeface designed by Friedrich Poppl, long after he established himself as one of the greatest German designers of all time with some of the most “ausgezeichnet” scripts and text faces to ever come out of Europe. One of my favorites. Rundgotisch is a easy to read for eyes that are accustomed to roman letterforms, yet keeps in touch with its blackletter roots. It was released around 1900 by Schelter & Giesecke of Leipzig, Germany. Can be used to set short text passages and pairs easily with many different decorative initials of the period. A very useful typeface. Don't leave home without it. According to Bringhurst, Schelter & Giesecke was formed in 1819 by Johann Gottfied Schelter and Christian Friedrich Giesecke. This old German printing house was sucked up by state-owned Typoart in 1946, after Marshall Zhukov and the Red Army had established Soviet dominion over East Germany.

I started designing Volupia in 2004 and the main goal was to create a very casual font with some characteristics than we can find in some old commercial advertisements. Wisdom Teeth is the fifth typeface released by DM Founts. It's a modern and personal take on the original Baby Teeth font by Milton Glaser, and inspired by the lettering used for the Pac-Man series of games (and its clones). This typeface was around 25 years in the making, and was made in response to the large number of hideously bad clones of Baby Teeth circulating around the Internet.
