Bielik was created for a comic book that I’m working on. Main goal was to achieve random character of texts, so I made three glyphs for every letter, even for diacritics. Firstly I was drawing using brush pen with ink, so thickness of letters was really various. I decided to implement this style into a font. So that is how Bielik came into the world. This is good choice for comic books, children books, display designs and much more. Bielik is a polish word for Haliaeetus albicilla.

Butan was originally designed as a typographic project for the Specialization in Typography Design at the University of Buenos Aires, during the years 2013 and 2014. The project was conceived as a “wayfinding” font, that would be functional for bilingual signage systems. The main guideline for its design was to create a font that could be readable from great distances and it could be potentially used in signage systems. Therefore the neutral aesthetics and clean shapes were very relevant in order to create this particular font.

Jasmin is a tribute to the ancient stories of The Thousand and One Nights, in which a main story serves as a connection for a series of other stories, just like all the other glyphs are derived from one of Jasmin's letters or from a sign. A graphic path in which we tried to combine the calligraphy designed with a quill with geometric research. Among the glyphs there is one referring to a letter from a famous font by Paul Renner, made by Fonderia Bauer in 1927.

Palatino Arabic is a collaboration between Lebanese designer Nadine Chahine and Prof. Hermann Zapf. The design is based on the Al-Ahram typeface designed by Zapf in 1956 but reworked and modified to fit the Palatino nova family. The design is Naskh in style but with a strong influence of the Thuluth style as well. This is evident in the swash-like finials and the wide proportions of the letterforms. It is designed for use in print in both large and small sizes. The counters are wide open to allow for better readability in small sizes as well as to maintain an open and friendly appearance. The font has 1091 glyphs and includes a large number of extra ligatures and stylistic alternates as well as the basic Latin part of Palatino nova and support for Arabic, Persian, and Urdu. It also includes proportional and tabular numerals for the supported languages. Palatino Arabic wins Type Directors Club award. Each year, the New York-based Type Directors Club judges typeface designs from all over the world in their TDC2 contest. The sheet music for the 1939 tune "Chico's Love Song (Ma-La-Ja Fa-La Pas-Ka Lah-Ta) [Cuban Double Talk]" may have had an odd title, but the main portion of it was hand lettered in an interesting style. Aldus was designed by Hermann Zapf and appeared with the font foundry D. Stempel AG in Frankfurt am Main in 1954. Zapf named this font after the famous Venetian printer Aldus Manutius, whose work is among the most important of the Renaissance period as well as Zapf’s inspiration for Aldus. Linotype Aldus was introduced by Linotype Library as a text font lighter than Palatino. Zapf’s goal with his Palatino and Aldus was to create a new form of Old Face typeface.
