Hollander is a refined, yet sturdy text typeface designed by Gerard Unger. The name stems from the font’s similarity to the types attributed to van Dijk and Voskens, two Dutch punchcutters from the seventeenth century. Like those earlier Dutch types, Hollander has generous proportions, a tall x-height, and high contrast between thick and thin strokes. It was designed to work in the early arenas of digital technology, when letters were generated as coarse pixels with a cathode ray tube in the typesetters of the 1970s, and then as finer pixels with a laser beam in the machines of the 1980s. Hollander has a well-drawn stability that maintains legibility even on inferior quality paper. When used as a display face, Hollander is an excellent companion to one of Unger’s most successful text faces, Swift.

It's the Summer of Love all over again with this groovy psychedelic font. Designed in 2019, this typeface harks back to the carefree days of the late 1960s. Whimsical and offbeat with its swaying verticals, it nonetheless remains one of the more legible reimaginings of the genre, sporting all of the handlettered vibe of posters and album covers from the original hippie era, but with polished color and weight that evens out the legibility even at relatively small point sizes. In the early 1960s, the Duro Decal Company of Chicago, Illinois added to its line of water-applied decal lettering a retail sign cabinet of die-cut, pressure sensitive vinyl letters and numbers. Binner Gothic is a very narrow sans serif thought to have been cut by the Bruce Typefoundry, in New York, around the turn of the century. The capitals are rather heavy with an elongated appearance, accentuated by the high-waisted treatment of characters such as B E F H M N P and R. KD Diagona is a display, geometrical face with 45 degree diagonal cut. Letter spacing along with almost 4000 kerning pairs were designed to match the diagonal progression of the font.

Back in 2017, I was working on a cutout font that I originally wanted to call Scissor Madness. In the end, I named it Cut Along and it was quite a popular font for a while. This week I decided to clean up my fonts folder a bit (as I usually have tons of unfinished fonts lurking in there) and I found a file named Scissor Madness. It was the original try-out for Cut Along. It contained a couple of nice glyphs that I never used, so I started playing around with them and after a day, I had a whole new font! So, in short, Scissor Madness was partly cut out by hand, partly computer made, but it is 100% fun to use! Scissor Madness comes with a bunch of very cute discretionary ligatures.

Kino font was designed in 1930 by Martin Dovey for the Monotype Corporation. Heavy in weight with the letters clipped at the top and bottom, Kino is unique among display types. Display typefaces with triangular serifs are sometimes called Latins and Kino is referred to as a serifless Latin. Use Kino font sparingly in informal display situations."

Renowned British designer Martin Wait designed Balmoral in 1978. Balmoral is an elegant and free-flowing copperplate script style typeface. A very rare metal face made a brief appearance in Lanston Specimen books and has all but vanished from use. In fact no examples of the font in use seem to exist. It shares some of the hand-rendered casual feel of Nicholas Cochin, but much heavier and well suited for bold headlines and package design.

Mekanik font is the work of British artist David Quay and as the name suggests, this geometric typeface reflects the simplicity of mechanical sans serif type design. It is an echo of the type styles developed by the Soviet Constructivists in the early 1920s. Mekanik font is excellent for use where a feeling of precision and strength is desired.
