This typeface was originally inspired by Art Deco lettering. During the development of the letterforms a strick DeStijl grid was imposed. The lowercase letterforms were created with the influences of rave/techno design styles. The result is a distinctly contemporary display font. The P22 Cusp Family contains 4 fonts: P22 Cusp Round, P22 Cusp Round Slant, P22 Cusp Square, P22 Cusp Square Slant. A Lost Art Deco Style Reborn and Multiplied Rhumba began as a digitization of a film typeface from LetterGraphics in the early 70's known as "Barrio Lined". Architype Konstrukt is a collection of avant-garde typefaces deriving mainly from the work of artists/designers of the inter-war years, whose ideals have helped to shape the design philosophies of the modernist movement in Europe. Due to their experimental nature character sets may be limited. Architype Aubette is based on Theo van Doesburg’s 1928 signage lettering for the Café Aubette in Strasbourg. A collaborative project with Jean and Sophie Arp, the design and decoration of the entire restaurant and leisure complex was one of the largest projects to exemplify 1920s avant-garde, and the theories of Dutch De Stijl.

Actually I finished this font while listening to one of his fairytales, and that inspired me to call this font Eventyr. Nightmare font is a simple attempt to convey the essence of a handwritten font with strong lines. In a real handwritten font, you would find more variation in line thickness, curves, and other design elements that contribute to the overall style. Creating a visual representation of a handwritten font using lines can be a bit challenging in plain text, but I'll provide a simple ASCII representation that may give you an idea of a strong handwritten style. Keep in mind that this is a very basic representation, and actual fonts would have much more detail and nuances.

Gundrada ML was inspired by the lettering on the tomb of Gundrada de Warenne. She was buried at Southover Church at Lewes, Sussex, in the south of England in 1085. The Latin inscription on her tomb, STIRPS GUNDRADA DUCUM, meaning “Gundrada, descendant of the Duke” may have led to the speculation that she was the daughter of William, Duke of Normandy and bastard son of Robert the Devil of Normandy and Arletta, daughter of a tanner in Falaise. In 1066 William defeated Harold at the Battle of Hastings and was crowned William I of England. More commonly known as William the Conquerer, he commissioned a string of forts around the kingdom and charged trusted Norman Barons to control the contentious Anglo-Saxon population. William de Warenne, husband of Gundrada, was one of these Barons. There has also been the suggestion that Gundrada may have been the daughter of William’s wife, Matilda of Flanders, by a previous marriage. According to the Dictionary of National Biography (Oxford University Press, Oxford, England 1921-22), both of these contentions are in dispute. Searching the past of a thousand years ago is like wandering in a heavy fog: facts are only dimly in view. Regardless, I know that I found these letterforms immediately engaging in their simplicity. Unadorned and unsophisticated, they have a direct honesty that rests well in the company of humanistic sans serifs like Franklin Gothic or Gill Sans, appealing to a contemporary sensibility. The lettering on the tomb is in upper case only. Although Gundrada does not sound Norman French to me, her husband certainly and her father probably were Norman French. Nonetheless, the man that carved her tombstone was probably Anglo-Saxon, like most of the people. For that reason, we are quite comfortable with a fairly generic lower case from an Anglo-Saxon document of the time. The time was a time of transition, of contending language influences. Maison Luxe is a revival of a very old font designed in France in or around the year 1820. You may have seen this font in the past under the names of Circus, Roma, Madame and Gillé Classic. As of November 2016 we have changed the name of this font from Gillé Classic to Maison Luxe which means Luxury House in French. For many years Joseph Gillé was credited as the original designer of this font however we've recently been contacted by a type historian in France reporting that he could not find any evidence supporting Joseph Gillé as the designer and to the best of his knowledge an artist by the name of Sylvestre may be the true designer. If you love this classic font then you're sure to enjoy the alternate version also with a matching lowercase available from FontMesa under the name of Home Style. This version of the classic with its squared off shadow is true to the original design where Home Style has diagonal lines creating a cast shadow.
