Monthly Calendar JNL is a companion font to Calendar Blocks JNL, and features classic wood type lettering and numerals from the 1800s. A set of large numbers are on their own keys, while the numbers 1-31 reside on the A-Z and a-e keys respectively. The days of the week are on the lower case “f” through “l” keys, while the names of the months are found on the “m” through “x” positions. An open rectangle is on the lower case “y” key, and a solid black rectangle is on the “z”. For those who wish to use the 23/30 and 24/31 configurations, they can be found on the left and right parenthesis.

The mystic sadness of the sight Of a far town seen in the night. Like the poetry movement of the early 20th century, from which the font takes its name, Imagist relies on the power of concrete images and brings an organic vibration to the words it forms. Imagist is a lively and decorative serif typeface with prominent features that appear especially in the letters K, R, M, N, W, V, k, w, v and y. Powerful ball terminals also bring recognizable attraction. Imagist contains six weights and corresponding Italics. Italics have a cursive-style letter s for as Stylistic Alternate. Starsigns is a unique set of zodiac symbols with a handmade feel. This font includes twelve astrology symbols: Aquarius, Pisces, Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, and Capricorn. Additionally, it features a moon and a sun symbol. The symbols were created from watercolor originals, giving them a warm and fluid quality. To utilize Starsigns, simply install it as a regular font. As you type, instead of letters, you will see the corresponding zodiac symbols. For accessing the symbols, type any lowercase letter on your keyboard between 'a' and 'm'. Most design software, such as Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop, provide a glyphs palette where you can select the desired symbol precisely.

As a graphic designer, sometimes it’s impossible not to be inspired by the Swiss Style, specifically the work of Armin Hofmann, who is one of its best exponents. Grids and grotesk and neo-grotesk typefaces are a fundamental part of the tools that make this aesthetic possible. A visual language that has caused full admiration since we were students. Therefore, we decided to design Armin as an homage to Hofmann’s work. Technically, we added stylistic sets applied to the letters –G, R, a, g, h, l, m, n, r, t, u, y– to make Armin more eclectic and suitable for the creation of any visual language. Armin Soft is the softest version of Armin Grotesk with its Variable file.

Regina-Cursiv is a warm, bold, casual typeface. Its friendly, rounded curves remind me of the line from a gospel song by the Canton Spirituals, about "smoothin' up the roughway." Jointly released by the Bauer and Berthold foundries of Germany during the fin-de-siecle period, this typeface has some cultural flexibility. There are alternate versions of the uppercase ‘H’ and ‘I’ that can be chosen to reflect a humanist or blackletter tradition, whichever you prefer. Other alternates offer various stylistic choices. Regina Cursiv is a friendly, comfortable font. You will enjoy using it. Alternative letters: D, E, G, I, K, S, T, d, h, k, m, n and z. The numerals are old-style figures.

Apnea is a layerable type family consisting of fifty weights. It is an all caps font with a few lowercase alternatives (a, e, i, m, n, t, w, and y) thrown in for a more casual feel. The base letterforms are inspired by a painted sign I found in the garage of an old house I moved into years ago. All the hand-drawn elements were done directly in FontLab to keep them loose and playful without getting distorted or grungy. At its core Apnea consists of eight base weights (Base, Drop Shadow, Halftone, Inline Fill, Outline, Outline 3D, Shading and Shadow) that when combined, can make up the rest of the family. This family was created from the set of font faces used in Lima (Peru) by Antonio Ricardo in 1584 for the first publication ever printed in Southern America: a four-page leaflet in Spanish entitled "Pragm·tica sanciÛn" with information about the new Georgian calendar of 1582 which had not yet been communicated to the colonies. In our two styles (Regular & Italic), font faces, kernings and spacing are as close as possible to the original. This Pro font covers Western, Eastern and Central European languages (including Celtic), Baltic and Turkish, with standard and “long s” ligatures in each of the two styles. A modern humanist sans serif made for the screen. Broad open letter forms are combined with precise geometry to create a functional and legible font that’s ideally suited to the web and on-screen applications. To reinforce readability and create more distinction at small point sizes serif like details have been drawn into uppercase ‘I’, ‘J’ and lowercase ‘i’ and ‘j’. Other characters of distinction include a serifed number 1 and a crossed out zero. Nauman is a highly legible font family aimed at large interface based projects. One of the first messy typewriter fonts to hit the market, Chandler 42 was compiled with forensic care from the voluminous output of a circa 1942 portable. All the eccentric personality of this particular machine is intact: a slightly angled "m," filled in gaps in the most-used characters; even the number "4" is reminiscent of gasoline pump numbers of its day. Chandler 42 features edges meticulously redrafted by hand, fully developed Western character sets and is available in 4 weights, plus obliques. Chandler 42 is everything you need to type a 1940s business letter, prep your own vintage facilities report or write that hard boiled novel you've been planning to start.

Gothiks is a powerfull 6-weight display sanserif influenced by Texturas. The rithm and verticality of Texturas can be easily identified on the letters with diagonal strokes like A N M K k V v W w X x Y y Z z: here they are all vertical. This kind of morphology was chosen because it accepts condensation in a very natural way, giving to this compact sanserif a very unique personality. The intermediate weights can be used for short texts while extreme weights are excellent for big sizes. It has an extensive character set — with extensive language support — and many OpenType features like fractions, small capitals and different figure sets. Default figures align with lowercase.

Kismet has the look of a modern, ornamental alphabet, but looks are deceiving: the typeface was designed by John F. Cumming in 1879. The basic forms are strictly constructed, most based on the form of a circle, a shape which also appears again and again in the ornamentation. Cumming decorated his figures generously with spiral elements and tiny circles in the middle of the letters. Characteristics which suggest the beginning of the Jugendstil are the floral designs and some individual forms, for example, T, M or P. Small, pointed serifs add a sobering element to all the flowery, oriental decoration. Used sparingly in headlines, the extravagant Kismet will be sure to attract attention.

Monolinear Vintage Elegance The Gimbel Script typeface was inspired by a monoline, semi-connected script from a 1930's holiday greeting card. Juxta Sans Mono is an experimental monospace sans, an extension of the Juxta superfamily. During the creation of the Juxta script, I felt that the aesthetics and the main idea of the font had promising potential and I started thinking about a pair for it. So the idea of Juxta Sans Mono was formulated. Juxta has several style-forming elements: 45° beveled or cross out bowls, squared m and w arcs and other unobvious letter structures. Despite its unusual and sometimes odd (f, g, m) letterforms, Juxta Sans is fairly easy to read due to its monospace font nature and wide spacing. Juxta Sans Mono offers great customization potential. It has two sets of stylistic alternates — [salt] makes a letter underscored, but keep it in line, [ss01] replaces some of the glyphs with different letterforms. The [case] function automatically adjusts the height of the punctuation marks to the neighbor letter and [onum] is a set of old style numbers. Juxta Sans Mono also has subscript and superscript features, but they are utilized a bit unconventionally — if you want to customize your logo or headline, you can make a glyph superscript and the one next to it subscript and they automatically kern into one letter width. This is the kind of letters I drew in school back in the 1980ies. I would never have guessed that I would do the same thing like 40 years later! I remember making a simple space game for my VIC-20 computer, and I needed some "data letters" (as I called it) - as far as I can remember, this is close to what I made 40-like years ago. Also, I was inspired by the well known series "Stranger Things" - you know, all that 80ies theme stuff took me down memory lane! :) Anyway, all the letters are handdrawn, using a squared paper as guide - at it may look simple, but it took me quite some time to finish this font (hence the name!)

Some time ago, I found myself in a clinic with my wife: at the time she was 20 weeks pregnant and had to do an ultrasound. To pass the time, I leafed through some (ladies') magazines which were lying around. Most of them tackled big issues like which shoes to wear and what type of foundation to plaster on, but one glossy featured a photo shoot. The photographer had found an old building with a beautiful art deco tile mural and had placed his skinny model in front of it. Fortunately for me, the mural featured a lot of text in a beautiful frilly style. I re-created the font I saw and it became "Jubileum" - which just means Jubilee in Dutch.

Royalbrick is a contemporary display unicase typeface. It is a part of upcoming type family — light and condensed style. The font was inspired by factory stamps’ typography on bricks made in 19-20 century on Russian manufactures — this kind of bricks was also called “royal bricks”. It has a unique image with “squashed” stems and dynamic expanding strokes, and there are also some kind of ancient Cyrillic’s vibes in it’s letterforms. It is an excellent example of combining national character with modern trends and expressive graphics. Royalbrick consist of extended Latin and Cyrillic, figures, two sets of punctuation (normal and "thin" with ss01), few ligatures and stylistic alternatives and a special set for letters with accents — ss02 named "Downstairs Accents". The font has 292 glyphs.

I've started looking at classic serifs with a narrow 80's & 90's range, and wanted to make the perfect one for you too! VONESA Minimalist is a beautiful nostalgic upper and lower case typography that looks amazing in upper and lower case settings as Display, Logo and body text. One thing to note about VONESA Minimalist is that the letter spacing is intentionally set for clean readability if you want to use it for body types, so I recommend setting the spacing a bit tighter for display use (around -20 to -40 should be!). Alexander Quill was originally designed in the early 1980s to be cut in 14 point for casting into foundry type for the setting and printing of limited edition books at Pie Tree Press, Jim Rimmer's private sanctum. This alphabet exhibits traditional calligraphic tension, which helps its simple, somewhat octagonal forms play well together for an easy read. Its setting expresses a dramatic sense of history or fantasy. Alexander Quill was updated and remastered for the latest technologies in 2012. It comes with plenty of built-in alternates, a glyphset of over 410 characters, and supports the majority of Latin-based languges. 20% of this font's revenues will be donated to the GDC Scholarship Fund, supporting higher typography education in Canada.

Sansduski is a sans-serif decorative/display family. Its very high x-height and tight spacing make it more suitable for use at large point sizes than small point sizes. (There are better options if one wants a readable text font.) Fresno is a two-font family. Fresno Inline and Fresno Black. Fresno Black is a recent addition. It can be used alone, and it is carefully tailored to fit behind the Inline font to add color to the inline. There are alternate characters: A, M & N in the caps and lowercase key positions. Fresno is a square gothic style typical of Mid-20th Century Showcard Lettering. A lettering genre known as “Gaspipe.” Signage samples similar to this still exist on buildings in my home town, Oakland, California. I have designed over a half dozen variations of this form over the years. Including Amboy. Golden Gate Initials, Matinee, Motel, and Hotel. Designed in 2001 by Jim Parkinson, Fresno has recently been refreshed, enhanced, and re-released.

Munchies is a reverse contrast slab-serif font family. Inspired by the volume and size of 19th century wood letterpress blocks and the Italian Caslon language. Munchies has 12 variants, from Heavy to Thin, with opentype options in a set consisting of uppercase, lowercase, small caps, ligatures, and alternate letters (A, M, N, V, W, &, Arrows, *). Munchies is divided into two subfamilies: Normal and Display. The Normal style has an appearance reminiscent of Western posters with a “measured” contrast. While the Display style takes the contrast to the extreme. Both styles are also available in Variable version. The inverted contrast makes it an interesting and striking looking typeface that stands out in any context. Perfect for headlines, bold branding, or animation like kinetic typeface.

LECO 1983 is a headline display OpenType typeface with its three styles: LECO 1983: regular LECO 1983 Blind: without interiors of signs LECO 1983 Negative: in its inverse form. The inspiration for creating this font came from the label on a 1983 bottle of Lečo. The characteristic feature of this font is an embedded diacritic. The monolinear character of drawings is dominant. This font is drawn as capital letter type for both: upper case and lower case letters. It contains alternatives of some signs (e, f, g, m, n, y) and (& and a glyph No) but it consists several interesting alternatives (ligatures) of pairs as (in, on, of, by) as well. This font is best used on strong posters or as a headline display typeface.

If you are looking for a unique typeface with a light and pure elegance, Marlowe will be your choice. Marlowe is the rat pack of fonts: Regular is perfect for headlines and subtitles, while the expressive Escapade, Swirl and Cocktail styles are charming display fonts. All four provide an extended set of capitals, small caps and lower case characters. Please take a close look at the elegant alternate letters for A, E, K, M, N, O, Q, R, W and g – there are even three kinds of ampersands to choose from. Altogether Marlowe offers amazing 25 alternates and 74 discretionary ligatures, while Marlowe Swirl has additional 26 automated ligatures. Make sure you use applications supporting all these lavish OpenType features.

FF Bauer Grotesk is a revival of the metal type Friedrich Bauer Grotesk, released between 1933 and 1934 by the foundry Trennert & Sohn in Hamburg Altona, Germany. The geometric construction of the typeface, infused with the art déco zeitgeist of that era, is closely related to such famous German designs as Futura, Erbar, Kabel and Super Grotesk that debuted a few years earlier. However, Bauer Grotesk stands out for not being so dogmatic with the geometry, lending the design a warmer, more homogenous feeling. The oval “O” is a good example of that, as well as characteristic shapes like the capital M or the unconventionally differing endings of “c” and “s” which make for a less constructed look. The Core Sans R Family is a part of the Core Sans Series, such as N, NR, N SC, M, E, A, D. and G. This font family has closed and square letter shapes, and overall rounded finishes provide a soft and friendly appearance. Simple shapes with a tall x-height make the text legible and the spaces between individual letter forms are precisely adjusted to create the perfect typesetting. The Core Sans R Family consists of 7 weights (Thin, Light, Regular, Medium, Bold, Heavy, Black) and Italics for each format. Core Sans R supports complete Basic Latin, Cyrillic, Central European, Turkish, Baltic character sets. Each font includes proportional figures, tabular figures, oldstyle figures, numerators, denominators, superscript, scientific inferiors, subscript, fractions and case features.

Here is a boxy, extremely squared alternative to display designs like Eden or Glamour. In comparison, Centric Serif does not share the fragile and delicate nature of these old 1930s classics. Instead it is fairly robust with a splayed M and a simple flattop A. It is interesting to note that Centric Serif (unlike Centric Geo) sports serifs in exaggerated and curiously bizarre ways. Centric Serif is now available in the OpenType Std format. Some new stylistic alternates and historical forms have been added to this OpenType version. Advanced features work in current versions of Adobe Creative Suite InDesign, Creative Suite Illustrator, and Quark XPress. Check for OpenType advanced feature support in other applications as it gradually becomes available with upgrades.
