Veronika is a semi-serif text face, available in three styles: Regular, Italic, and Bold. All three faces are available in OpenType format, with both lining and old-style figures. Grüger, a German artist and designer, first began the design of her typeface by writing out its letterforms with a wooden stylus. She wanted to create a new semi serif face that had uniform stroke widths, but still maintained some aspects of calligraphy. Veronika achieves this; the terminals that begin the first strokes of most letters are round and bulbous, as if the writing instrument added extra emphasis on that spot. This adds a dynamic, movement-like quality to texts designed with Veronika. Aside from some sans serif-ness, Veronika appears similar to old style typefaces from the renaissance: classical inscriptions inspired the proportions of the capital letters, and the lower case letters stem from Carolinian minuscule. These proportions allow Veronika to function very well in text and at small sizes. However, only when you design larger headlines, logos, or other elements with Veronika, will you notice all of its special qualities, like its weight distribution and stroke characteristics.

The name of this typeface, David Aubert, comes from the calligrapher of Philippe Le Bon and Charles Le téméraire, both Dukes of Burgundy who worked and lived in Brussels in the 1500s. This revival of his writing is a good example of the bâtarde bourguignonne style.

Ridley is a calligraphic-influenced, decorative, medieval font combining Roman and Gothic forms. It is named for Nicholas Ridley and similar in style to Staunton’s Latimer font. Ridley and Latimer were protestants burned together at the stake in 1555 during the reign of Queen “Bloody” Mary.

This family, in normal and bold weights, is based on Advertisers Gothic, designed by Robert Wiebking for Barnhart Brothers & Spindler in 1917. The original might be considered a transitional design between Art Nouveau and Art Deco; this version accentuates the Deco traits, adding a thick-and-thin treatment not found in the original. The large x-height and short descenders allow for compact, commanding headlines with a carefree charm, a.k.a. bell'agio. Both versions of the font include 1252 Latin, 1250 CE (with localization for Romanian and Moldovan).

As a follow-up to his popular Chocolate font, Angel Koziupa softens his brush again to produce Felipe, a font made in the memory of his brother. As packaging-friendly and versatile as any Koziupa font, Felipe contains fresh perspectives on old characters. Some of the majuscules and figures show characteristics normally reserved for minuscules. The overall color of the font is somewhat bittersweet, which adds to its ability to capture the attention in display settings. Telephone Extended is a geometric semi-slab family with block serifs positioned to assist wordflow. The typeface evolved from an italic wordmark designed in 1966 for the British GPO by the Banks & Miles agency to publicize all-figure telephone dialling (all-number calling), and the new fonts retain that italic spirit, even in the upright romans.
