Bauhaus is a style of art that was born in Weimar Germany in the early part of the 20th century. The font that bears the bauhaus name was constructed in accordance with this style by making use of spheres and squares with little or no added flourishes. From the standpoint of calligraphy, a font family of capitals and uncials makes perfect sense.
