FG Lina was inspired by an old handwritten book I found in the library. It contains some alternate caps characters and some rough lowercase characters. I had lots of fun designing the missing characters to fit in the script. I hope you will enjoy this Quill Script font!

Font editors allow one to blend fonts, that is, to take two different fonts and create a new one by averaging the two source fonts. This feature is responsible for the many different weights that come with some modern typefaces. It can also be used to blend completely different fonts, though these blends will require a lot of cleaning and correcting to make them useable. EuroikaKamp began as a blend of two vastly different faces: Euroika, a face with a lot of contrast, straight lines, and smooth curves, and KampFriendship, a hand drawn serif that is almost mono linear. The result is an odd, quirky face that may be useful when one wants a very readable font without the precision and formality of a standard text font.

Brava Slab is a family of 6 weights with matching italics. First things first: I am really not a Star Trek fan. I did come up with this name, which I thought had a good ring to it. When I checked whether the name was already taken, I found out that Black Cluster is a term from Star Trek. Now you want to know what a Black Cluster is, so just check out poster 2 and read all about it. For me, Black Cluster is a handmade ink font, with a lot of jumping glyphs, a lot of diacritics and a handful of ligatures. It may be rough, but you will be pleasantly surprised by what it can do to a design! May the font be with you. Oh, no, that was from Star Wars…

Over the years, I've used Impact a lot. But, not because I liked it—rather because it was the only font I could find with the bulk I needed for a given title or whatever. I finally decided to make my own. It was originally built off Librum Sans Bold, but I quickly made a mask of Impact for the widths, bumped the x-height way up, made the horizontals much heavier, and on and on. You know how it is when you start designing. The result is a black sans with the bulk of Impact and much more interesting character shapes. I suspect I'll use it a lot.
