Bauhaus is celebrating its centenary in this year. For the Bauhaus's 100th anniversary year, art and design museums and galleries around the world are hosting exhibitions and events. The publication of „Bauhaus Arabic“ font family is my contribution to celebrate this event. Bauhaus Arabic is a sans-serif font family designed by Naghi Naghashian in tree weights. Bauhaus Arabic Light, Bauhaus Arabic Medium and Bauhaus Arabic Bold. It is extremely legible even in very small size. This font family is a contribution to modernisation of Arabic typography, gives the font design of Arabic letters real typographic arrangement und provides more typographic flexibility. Bauhaus Arabic supports Arabic, Persian ( Farsi ) and Urdu. It also includes proportional and tabular numerals for the supported languages. Craw Modern was designed by Freeman Craw in 1958 and first released by The American Typefounders Company, (ATF). In typography, 'Modern' is a style of typeface (classification) developed in the late 18th century that continued through much of the 19th century. Characterized by high contrast between thick and thin strokes and flat serifs. Bodoni is among the most popular of the Moderns. Moderns are also known as Didone and New Antiqua.

Dalcora was designed by Erwin Koch in 1989 in a single weight. The most distinguishing characteristic of this font is its unusual proportions. Text fonts are usually designed with more delicate horizontal strokes as the verticals, but Dalcora is exactly the opposite. Its slight slant to the right and the round forms of the letters make the font dynamic and cheerful. Dalcora is intended exclusively for headlines in larger point sizes.

This font has the Lycian characters both in their unicode positions, and where you can find them on the keyboard. The glyphs in this font were based on those on a Kerei monument in Lycia. I am not an archaeologist, so your feedback would be most welcome.

The American Sign Museum in Cincinnati houses an amazing collection of vintage signage from all kinds of sources and covering many eras of retail advertising. Someone visiting the museum posted online an image of one particular piece of glass with hand lettering saying “gold leaf” in a bold Art Deco stencil style. Etched Stencil JNL was inspired by that image and is available in both regular and oblique versions.

The name “Parchemin” is derived from the word in old English for “parchment.” Our modern word “parchment” changed its spelling to conform with French spelling practices during the French occupation of England. The font was created to suggest an informal but antique form of handwriting written on parchment with a quill pen. The scratchiness of the old quill pen is conveyed in the roughness of the characters. The font was loosely based on the font Queen. Use this font whenever you want to suggest rough informality or antique handwriting. The characters have been letter-spaced and kerned in such a way that they join perfectly with one another giving a completely convincing imitation of genuine handwriting. The font is fully professional in terms of its character set. It contains more than 235 characters — (upper and lower case characters, punctuation, numerals, symbols and accented characters are present). In fact, it has all the accented characters used in the major European languages.

Fifteen hundred years from now, a man will be selected to go back in time to prevent a catastrophic event which turned his world into a dystopia. Sent back in time, he was enveloped in empyrean fire, the strands of energy that make up time itself. Crash-landing near Astro City in late 1985, he learned how to master and channel the empyrean forces that had suffused his body -- finally learning to control his powers in time to prevent the destruction of the Space Shuttle Challenger, the event he had been sent to avert. He described himself to journalists as nothing more than "a Good Samaritan", and has continued to help his fellow man in Astro City ever since. John JG Roshell has also been struggling with the empyrean challenge of fitting all of Kurt Busiek's ASTRO CITY dialogue into balloons with the regular Samaritan font, so he created the Samaritan Tall font to help his fellow comic book letterers! It's kinda the same thing, really.

I do groceries a couple of times a week. When I am shopping for food, I always read the ingredients list; I don’t want too much sugar, nor palm oil, trans fats or a lot of E numbers. Crepe Paper JNL is an alphabet-only novelty font that creates a wavy ribbon headline with a vintage wood type alphabet that somewhat resembles an unfurled stretch of crepe paper. The upper case A-Z keys will produce a white ribbon banner with black letters, while the lower case a-z keys are white letters on a black background. The end caps for the white banner are on the left and right parenthesis keys, while the end caps for the black banner are on the bracket keys. A blank space is located on the period key for the white banner and on the comma key for the black banner. This will allow for a continuous text banner without an open break due to using the space key.

The original Swift (1985) proved its worth in corporate identities, magazines and newspapers and occasionally in books. It is a versatile type and can be used in a wide range of circumstances. It is a striking type, with large serifs, large counters and letters that produce a particularly strong horizontal impression. This means that words and lines in Neue Swift are easily distinguished, even where there are large spaces between words, as can occur in newsprint. Neue Swift's large, robust counters were designed to improve legibility particularly in newspapers. It was designed in the early eighties, when papers were less well printed than they are today, and its special features help it survive on grey, rough paper printed on fast rotary presses. Today it is used more often outside newspapers than in them. Neue Swift (2009) is the newest version of the Swift concept. It has been improved by technical and aesthetic enhancements, and has been expanded into a family of twelve variants.
