Eckhardt Speedletter JNL was named in honor of Al Eckhardt (1929-2005), a talented sign painter and good friend of font designer Jeff Levine. The font was inspired by hand lettering on a reproduction of a 1950s rock and roll show poster.

Named for his childhood neighborhood in Brooklyn, NY, Jeff Levine's Crown Heights JNL is a lightline all-caps titling font excellent for short words or phrases. Its inspiration is remotely based on the symmetry of earlier designs such as Beton and Stymie.

Astrospy JNL is a square-shaped, futuristic techno-style font from Jeff Levine. It is very well suited for short phrases, but caution should be used in setting too many words with it because of legibility issues. Best used in larger point sizes.

The place for a family to be entertained by comedians, dancers, acrobats, animal acts, singers and just about any other acts that fit the bill at the time was the vaudeville theater. Prior to radio becoming the major source of entertainment for the American public, popular songs were introduced on the stages of these entertainment venues. One such song from 1916 with a World War I patriotic sentiment was "A Yankee Doodle Boy Is Good Enough for Me". The sheet music featured the title hand lettered in Art Nouveau style.
