So this is my tribute to Piggy who got killed by that falling plastic rock in the movie. Le Griffe is the work of French designer Andre-Michel Lubac. A superb calligraphic script, Le Griffe includes two fonts of separate alternates and swash characters. In contrast to its more reserved lowercase, Le Griffe's capitals are quite lively- especially those with swashes and flourishes. With Le Griffe, Lubac has imitated the skilled penmanship of free-flowing calligraphy in digital form. Natuna is named after the ocean which is rich in marine ecosystems and the region where I live in Indonesia. For this font, I retained my handwriting style, but I combine it with a touch of modern calligraphy. It is seen with the tail of each letter the same length. The upper and lower case letters all have the same tail. This font is perfect for many creative needs and can be for marriage invitations, greetings, business cards, and more.

Hyldemoer (in Nordic folklore) is a tree spirit, or nymph, who lives in elder trees. H.C. Andersen also wrote a story about Hyldemoer (‘The Little Elder-Tree Mother’ in English). Hyldemoer font is based on my Mysterious font and the first letters of the Beowulf manuscript (Hwæt! We Gardena…). Hyldemoer is a jumpy fairytale font, which comes with some interesting alternate glyphs and ligatures, plus a harvest of diacritics. Use it for your book covers, product packaging, posters and art work.

Linotype Matthia is part of the Take Type Library, which features the winners of Linotype’s International Digital Type Design Contest from 1994 to 1997. Dieter Kurz designed Matthia as a slender, flowing brush font. Its characters are in a handwritten style yet stand almost straight, making Matthia a mixture of reserved and lively, of static and dynamic. The font is reminiscent of advertisement typefaces popular in the 1950s and extremely versatile, suitable for short texts in small point size or headlines on posters.

Franken Jr. Pro was inspired by the title screen from the 1966 Hanna Barbera cartoon titled, "Frankenstein Jr." The original titling had a unique presence to it, overflowing with charm and offbeat personality. LIETZ Lindham is based on letters taken from an old type specimen folder from 1936 featuring handdrawn sans-serif ABC's. Catskin is a fairytale by The Brothers Grimm. The story is about a king who has a beautiful wife and daughter - you know, the basic fairytale stuff. Long story short: they all live happily ever after (except for the wife, who dies…). Catskin is also a nice, handmade font. I like making fairytale fonts, especially since I have three kids, who love books. And when I see one of my fonts on the cover, I can tell them: ‘daddy made this’. #prouddaddy ;-)

Fady Lingers is a mispronunciation of that famous Italian cookie - nevertheless, there is nothing awkward or wrong with the font! It is handmade using a thin marker, leaving an uneven edge. I did spend some time cleaning up each letter, but was carefully observant to keep the original handmade and organic look. I've added 4 slightly different versions of each lowercase letter. and they automatically changes as you type - a really great way to make your design stand out as organic and lively!

These four typefaces, Berlinette NB, Lyonette NB, Marseillette NB and Parisette NB, were designed from the same basic shape, a fanciful geometric form that avoids strict horizontals and uses more offbeat triangular shapes. Marseillette is the nasty one, with sharp hook terminations that require careful use. Don�t slip and accidentally stick one in your hand � it will hurt pretty bad and make you blubber like a baby. It�s good for surreal warning signs on dark, forbidding docks where gooey monsters live.

Cala is a reflection of Venetian Renaissance types but with a contemporary look. It has an energetic profile, achieved through soft outlines and a flowing rhythm. It is lively, remains stable in small sizes and is beautiful in display sizes. Cala comes in eight styles, in OpenType format and with extended language support. All weights contain standard and discretional ligatures, small caps, proportional lining figures, tabular lining figures, proportional old style figures, lining old style figures, matching currency symbols, fraction- and scientific numerals.

As the Latin tag for one’s college or university, Alma Mater seemed to me to be an appropriate title for a font family reminiscent of the lettering commonly used on college sweaters and sports jerseys. Essentially Alma Mater is an extension of my Oscar Bravo font family, but the lively demand for Oscar Bravo Blank persuaded me to go the whole nine yards and and offer inline, outline and shadow variations on the theme. Pick 'em up and run with 'em!

The name “Fiction Crusader” was generated by a random word generator. It may sound odd, but I like the feel of it. Use your imagination: what exactly is a fiction crusader? Each letter has 6 slightly different versions, and they automatically cycle as you type. A great way to make your text look more lively and vibrant! I guess that this is an all-purpose font, because I can’t think of a project that couldn’t use a font like this!

For some reason I had to think of Moby Dick (the classic book by Herman Melville) when I was busy working on this font. No, I don’t live near the sea, nor do I have a pet whale. It’s just one of those things… Whalebone (named after Captain Ahab’s prosthetic leg) is a handmade, all caps brush font. It wasn’t actually made with a brush; I used a broken satay skewer and Chinese ink. Whalebone comes with discretionary ligatures for double letter combinations.

Canovaro was inspired by the hand-lettered masthead of Queenslander, a weekly magazine published during the first half of XIX century. The condensed serif letterforms of the magazine title, with the warm, human touch gave the shapes of Quenta a lively personality and a literary charme. A year after the tremendous success of Memoriam in the "Lives They Lived" issue of the New York Times magazine at the end of 2008, Patrick Griffin and Nancy Harris Rouemy teamed up once more to tackle the same project for the 2009 issue. This time the magazine's design concept revolved around a typeface they created specifically for custom vertical malleability, and that can play just as well in single- or multi-color environments. The result was another iconic commemorative issue that shows exotic tri-line letters merging, swashing, extending and flourishing in stunning gold, silver and blue on black on the cover, and in black on white on the inside pages. Just like in the previous year, the issue won multiple publication design and typography awards. Crescendo is that typeface, finally issued for retail by public demand. Amaro is the Italian word for bitter (amaro) herbal drinks like Ramazotti, Averna and a trillion lesser known ones. These liquors were the literal base for this elaborate set of four fonts. Each has different uppercase letters and some of the lowercase letters vary as well. Amaro-A, B, and C can be mixed freely. The Amaro-D has underlining swashes in two different lengths, the uppercase has the shorter underlines and the lowercase the longer ones. It's a weird name, but it's a weird font! Introducing RAISIN RAGE, a quirky font that expresses that feeling of when you bite into a cookie expecting it to be full of chocolate chips, but it's full of squishy, rubbery raisins instead. Compass Next is a third edition of Compass TRF designed in 2002. The first time Compass TRF has been conceived was as a “geometric” Didone – all letters literally were drawn with a ruler and a compass.
