Bisco Condensed is a small capital design inspired by hand lettered memorial wall art from the Harlem section of New York City. As a memorial, this design is dedicated to a type design colleague who lost his long battle with cancer. This font is a tribute to his strength and his liveliness. The original idea for Bisco Condensed was to capture the energy of those unique "streetforms" in a text/display design and encapsulate them into a lively & fluid type design with a high level of readability at all point sizes. Analogia is a digital interpretation of types used in the mid-18th century in books printed at Leuven by Martin van Overbeke. It is intended primarily for use in running text. The roman is businesslike, yet with a distinct personality; it has a generous x-height and is slightly condensed, though without appearing cramped. It is complemented by a more lively italic, which retains some irregularities in the angle of slant that are characteristic of the original. Analogia provides wide support for west, central, and east European languages that use the roman alphabet. Among its OpenType features are ligatures, small caps, several sets of numerals, contextual alternates, intelligent implementation of long ‘s’, and fractions. Alizé is a three-weight typeface inspired by the chancery italic of the 16th century. It is a high-contrast face, created with syncopations in axes and proportions and subtle irregularities that form a lively and delicate weave, suitable for setting a single word, a special expression, or a short block of prose. The family does not contain a roman, and instead promotes the italic as a primary style, a common printing convention in the 16th and 17th centuries. The italic lowercase predates inclined capitals by about twenty years, and as a nod to this typographic evolution, Alizé’s capitals, small capitals, and figures are very slightly inclined to match the energy of the lowercase. The low x-height and long ascenders and descenders, features associated with finesse and luxury, are reminiscent of the Venetian-style italic, but are further emphasised. Unlike the Venetian italic, however, Alizé has a sharp slope, giving a prominent sweep across the page (alizé is the name of trade wind). Each font of Alizé has a character set count of exceeding 700, and contains an abundance of ligatures, dynamic fractions, ornaments, and pan-European language support. Paralucent Slab is an addition to the ever-popular Paralucent family. Paralucent is versatile all-purpose modern sans and slab serif design. Available in seven weights, from Thin to Heavy, with corresponding italics, it avoids some of the more eccentric calligraphic quirks of Akzidenz or Helvetica or the cool precision of Univers for an elegant, functional, yet warm design. Several core ideas inform Paralucent’s design. Prime attention has given to the negative space between characters, giving a more even “colour”, especially in text. For example, the J, L and T have shorter arms than comparable sans typefaces, while the M and W are wider. The A has a lower bar, opening up the interior counter. An unusually high lower-case x-height again helps to give a more even colour and improve legibility. Care has been taken to rationalise repeated elements like the tails on lower-case letters, or the Q and the “ear” of the g. Typographic design solutions that are consistent across all these features add more stylistic cohesion. ‘Ink traps’ are exaggerated incisions used to open up a letter's narrower internal angles, which can become clogged with ink, especially in small point sizes. Now largely redundant due to the high quality of modern print, they are still sometimes used as a stylistic quirk or design feature. Some vintage Beacon metal door letters used for identifying addresses on home and business buildings was spotted in an online auction from England. Those few letters were the inspiration for Home Address JNL, which is available in both regular and oblique versions.

Inspired by the images on some EBay auctions, Jeff Levine sketched out and revived this early 1900s serif design used on some French sign letters. Named for a friend in the graphics industry, this font captures the charm of the Art Nouveau period.

Sabor is a voluptuous upright connected display font with mixed taste of script fonts. There were many inspirations for Sabor, but all started with a book from the 1950s about the battles of World War II. To that first sketches of a naive dense display typeface we, day by day, start to create a mixed style evolving some lettering concepts from 1950s, some calligraphy notions and the first display ideas. EXPRESO was inspired by the extinct art and craft of urban Lettering applied to buses and other kind of cars for public service of transportation. Since the mid of last century, main cities of Colombia - as Bogotá, Medellín and others - were growing in population and brought urban area expansion with it and serious traffic problems due to the lack of political will and urban planning. The problem of urban transport in Colombia's largest cities has not yet been resolved, despite adopting some examples of mass transit system in other cities in the region. Before these actions, public transport in cities such as Bogotá was quite varied, leaving space for popular culture that survived for a couple of decades, until the massive dieback of these old buses early this decade, either by practices associated with Lettering it was displaced by some technological, some expressions of art street and city that evolved or disappeared. EXPRESO can be used mainly in titles and display texts. You have a multitude of options using combination of layers from the basics of the font family to the various textures and shades. Really, there is nothing stupid about this font. In some strange and weird way, I just thought that the name sounded like something eye-catching - in the same way that the font is eye-catching! It may look like your average comic font, but it's not! I carefully put a lot of funk, twist, comic and a spoonful of pizzadude into each and every letter. The result is a bouncy crazy looking comic font. Oh, I almost forgot - I topped the letters with a spoonful of grafitti mixed with the sounds of a party...that's the recipe for this lovely multilingual font! :)

MyScript is exactly that: my script; only this one is for everybody’s use! Originally I designed it as a Christmas present for my friends and clients; they liked it. So I thought other people might like it as well. I cleaned it up just enough so that it did not lose its character. This simplified blackletter typeface shares some geometric characteristics with a line of typefaces popular that were especially popular in Germany during the 1920s and 30s. Their forms may have originally come about after a desire to mix the classical Fraktur" forms found in typefaces like Linotype Luthersche Fraktur or Fette Fraktur with more modern sans serif typefaces, like Basic Commercial or Futura. I love blueberries. When my brother and I were young, we used to pick them in the forest by the bucket. Afterwards, we’d always look like victims of a serial killer, but it was all worth it, as nothing quite tastes likes homemade blueberry jam. I don’t know why I named this cute little font Blueberry Jam. Maybe I was craving some… Blueberry Jam is a highly legible, extremely cute and very handmade font. It would look good on just anything, but book covers, product packaging and homemade jam labels come to mind. Blueberry Jam comes with a bucketload of diacritics.

Originally designed by Alois Ganslmeier as a Billboard-Font, the Coma Font was later developed into a complete typeset with capitals and small letters, Cyrillic letters, Greek letters and Hebrew letters by Andy Jörder and Jörg Herz. The Coma Font is a massive constructed font which can be used for headlines. When only typed in capitals it gives the impression of blocks for there are no ascenders or descenders. The font comes alive because of its massive appearance, its edgy form and the opulence impression when used line-by-line. Not without reason, the font is named “dick und eckig”.

Eurobia is a family of two typefaces - Regular and Plain. They are display faces with a strongly European feel and a strong flavour of the 1920s. My suggestion would be to use them for poster or banner work, or packaging or cover design, with the heading text set in Eurasia Regular and subsidiary text set in Eurobia plain. Why not give that European flavour to your next project? We see Eurobia as a fun typeface, for advertising products like confectionery or concerts.
