The Country Blues it's a cool fancy font family inspired by the good old vinyl records / movie covers, bowling and golf aesthetics and good old Rock'n'Roll melodies such as "Runaround Sue" was. The name Norden means “the Nordic”, as in the geographical area or its countries. Structorator is a grid-based, experimental display font. This typeface emerged from experiments with generative type design. It evolved from a piece of code into a fully usable opentype font. The two main features are its rigid but playful design and a multitude of alternate glyphs. These features make it possible to create interesting lettering when using the default spacing. The glyphs are constructed from a limited set of patterns which are arranged within a predefined grid. The line thickness corresponds to the different cuts. Due to the rather complex shape this font will look best in larger sizes and resolutions. Syntax was designed by Swiss typographer Hans Eduard Meier, and issued in 1968 by the D. Stempel AG type foundry as their last hot metal type family. Meier used an unusual rationale in the design of this sans serif typeface; it has the shapes of humanist letters or oldstyle types (such as Sabon), but with a modified monoline treatment. The original drawings were done in 1954; first by writing the letters with a brush, then redrawing their essential linear forms, and finally adding balanced amounts of weight to the skeletons to produce optically monoline letterforms. Meier wanted to subtly express the rhythmical dynamism of written letters and at the same time produce a legible sans serif typeface. This theme was supported by using a very slight slope in the roman, tall ascenders, terminals at right angles to stroke direction, caps with classical proportions, and the humanist style a and g. The original foundry metal type was digitized in 1989 to make this family of four romans and one italic. Meier completely reworked Syntax in 2000, completing an expanded and improved font family that is available exclusively from Linotype GmbH as Linotype Syntax. In 2009 the typeface family was renamed into a more logical naming of "Syntax Next" to fit better in the Platinum Collection naming." Et Cetera is a beautiful, hand-lettered script. It abounds in OpenType features such as terminal swashes and ligatures and is best used with OpenType savvy software with the “standard ligatures” and “contextual alternates” features turned ON. Et Cetera is comprehensive and vigorous. Most letters in the font are connected, but, as in typical handwriting fonts, not all are connected. Most characters have a consistent shape within the font, but not all. Some characters in Et Cetera are sensitive to their position in the text and change depending on the adjoining characters. This contributes to the casual and relaxed style of Et Cetera; not allowing the features of the font to get between the reader and the message. A wealth of OpenType features lie beneath the mellow exterior of Et Cetera. These Open Type features make few demands on the user which makes for a versatile script font that requires no expertise from the user, performs well at larger sizes, and remains legible even when setting copy at very small sizes. Twirrewyn is Frisian for ‘Whirlwind’. I have always liked the Frisian language; it’s like a crossover between English and Dutch. When I studied journalism in Zwolle (a city close to Fryslân) there were a lot of Frisian students and I did pick up a few words! Twirrewyn is a handmade font family: the fat version was made using a brush and ink; the light version was made using that same ink, but with a broken satay skewer instead of a brush. And yes, you have guessed right, we eat a lot of Satay! ;-)

Tupã is a Brazilian indigienous god of thunder. This typeface is a geometric Sans Serif based on vertical and diagonal strokes. The heavy weights are great for impact layouts and the light weights are perfect to make sutil and strong messages. Savoye was created by Alan Meeks in 1992. The spirit of the Jugendstil lies behind the design of this font. Graceful upright letters combine to create delicate, flowing word figures. Linotype Sinah is part of the Take Type Library, selected from the contestants of Linotype’s International Type Design Contests of 1994 and 1997. Designed by the German artist Peter Huschka, Linotype Sinah is a rounded, ornamental font with many strokes ending in teardrop forms. The letters of this wide-running font do not share a common base line. The capital S and the lower case l both drop under it although neither have descenders. Overall, Linotype Sinah has an almost Asian or Indian feel. The font must be used with generous line spacing and is intended exclusively for headlines or shorter texts in point sizes of 12 or larger.
